SmartConnect Advanced Plans provide remote equipment reboot. EcoStruxure IT Expert applications provide vendor-neutral monitoring and management for large, distributed fleet and enterprise environments. Register and connect using the built-in port, or Network Management Card options.
Alternate Monitoring and Management Options
Use the intuitive LCD interface and PowerChute software to configure settings and monitor usage. A SmartSlot in the back of the UPS offers the option to add a Network Management Card (NMC) to remotely manage the UPS over the network (NMC sold separately). Audible alarms also provide notification of changing utility power and UPS conditions.

Rated 5 out of 5 byRW41 from Cannot Easily Download Firmware UpdatesBought this back in Dec. 2018. Ordered a network card 2 for in house management.The Firmware Upgrade manager says I have a FW Upgrade available but when I browse for it, none of the .enc files show up until you enable all files. Then none show they are for an SMT3000. Lastly reading all the txt files they indicate some should be compatible, but the wizard says they are not. So then I go to APC to see if I can download an .ENC (firmware file and for my model they steer towards an .MIB file which the Upgrade wizard rejects. It used to be this process took minutes to achieve on APC support, but now it takes hours and tomorrow I will call for technical support. For my own references, I have been using APC UPS' for 20+ years. After this debacle it may be time to rethink this strategy.

Rated 5 out of 5 byjrob5660 from Excellent UPSI've had this installed in my server room for 5 months now and it has saved our network from quite a few brownouts and a brief outage. In addition to that, the Cloud service account has active monitoring and email notifications to let you know whenever your network is experiencing issues. I also purchased the NIC for this to allow SSH configuration and access. Great UPS. I'll be sure to update this review if anything changes.
