Rated 5 out of 5 by from great speedup for an old mac miniI'm happy that Crucial even linked to the Mac Mini ifixit upgrade instructions! One modification is that I stacked the two conductive pads on the old Mac Mini drive together for the thinner crucial SSD, so that they would make contact between the drive and the Mini chassis. All in all, everything went without a hitch on my late 2009 mac mini, and it's vastly improved the snappiness of my old computer vs. the HDD. A great price and great performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm Very Happy With This PurchaseI spent several months researching the whole concept of upgrading my laptop by adding extra RAM and/or switching to the Solid State Drive (SSD). I first bought a new laptop that I really wanted. It's actually a 2012 refurbished Lenovo ThinkPad T430. I got a good price on it, and I really like it. It came with 8 GB of RAM which is twice what I had previously. Since it was already faster than the 4GB I was used to, I decided to beef it up some with the SSD. I don't need much hard disk space since I store almost everything in the clouds. I was only using 45 GB on my old PC, so I bought the Crucial MX500 250GB SATA 2.5-inch 7mm (with 9.5mm adapter) Internal SSD. It loads up quicker when I first start it up and every page or process I open and use is definitely noticeably quicker. It just feels snappier and smoother than the HDD. The SSD cost me $80, and I also bought the USB 3.0 2.5" external hard drive module to transfer my hard drive data to my new SSD. This cost $10. I even bought the Screwdriver for DRAM/SSD PC upgrades for $4 so I knew I had the right size screwdriver. The installation went very smoothly. I used their step by step guide by watching it on my other computer while I was doing it one step at a time. It was very easy to understand and follow along with. I used my new PC Owner's Manual to instruct me with removing the hard drive, and this was also easy. So I am enjoying the snappier, smoother action with the SSD, and I'm planning on upgrading to 16 GB of RAM within the next few months. Not because I really "need" it for any reason. Just because I like quicker, cleaner feel I get from it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use Crucial and forget SamsungI have Crucial memory for YEARS and always been happy. I was using Samsung SSD drives at first and tried this SSD drive (MX500) in one of my personal computers and after that I only use Crucial SSD drives. Crucial gives you the same great quality for a better price. I understand that Crucial now has a 1TB drive and the price is phenomenal! I USE CRUCIAL EXCLUSIVELY NOW and been totally satisfied. I don't ever use generic memory because it's always just a few dollars more for Crucial memory. Crucial Memory and Crucial SSD drives, you can't go wrong. Keep it up Crucial and THANK YOU! P.S. I also sell Crucial (and have now deployed) to all MY customers too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works perfectly with my Macbook (Aluminum, Late 2008)The higher performance of the SSD, versus the old hard drive that shipped with my Macbook, has brought new life to my 2008 Macbook. I was able to install El Capitan and start using it again, with much better performance. Installation was easy.
