Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works if you know what you're doing Make sure you watch a replacement video before trying to replace your own RAM. Make sure you do not exceed the maximum amount of RAM stated by your laptop's manufacturer. I put this RAM model in a Toshiba Satellite L650 (PSK2CU-14701X) and had no problems. Went from 3GB to 8GB and applications open much faster. For a full upgrade, I recommend also upgrading your HDD to an SSD that supports your motherboard's SATA speeds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Money back I installed both chips into my laptop and it broke not only the ram slots but also the screen. Yes I used the scanning software THIS WEBSITE PROVIDED before buying and plugged in both chips correctly. Now I have a giant paper weight that sits on my desk.

I have to have multiple applications and websites running on my computer, constantly on web calls, etc which caused poor performance. Our company recently required us to install Slack to use as an internal messaging collaboration tool which caused my computer performance to become even worse, applications would freeze up or become extremely slow to load. I learned what my issue was I doubled my RAM and it's made a world of difference and has saved me so much time because I'm able to be more productive.

I swapped out the hard drive for an SSD and upgraded the memory to the maximum. The memory upgrade went smoothly and worked without a hitch - but by far the biggest improvement was the SSD. This laptop no longer runs like it's under water! It's as fast as most desktop computers now. :^)

The memory has "always" worked as well as the manufacturers memory, but at a much lower cost. And, Crucial's warranty will replace it, if there are any problems! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product works, not hard to install I bought this to try to make a 5 year old HP laptop usable again; the computer had been running too slow to be useful. I also de-fragmented the hard drive, cleaned out files, etc. I had never changed any component on a computer before, and was worried about static, etc. I followed the procedure in the HP manual to upgrade my 4GB memory to 8GB (2X4GB), wearing a wrist strap. I followed their recommendation to put in two new cards instead of just adding one, to avoid possible incompatibility. One of the cards didn't seat the first time around, but it worked when I reinstalled it. Since then, everything works fine, and the laptop is back in service, running normally. I don't know how much the added memory contributed to the improved performance, but I'm sure that it helped.

My Windows 7 laptop had grown sluggish and slow, and I wanted to upgrade to Windows 10. Didn't think my laptop's 4 GB of memory was enough. I watched a video on YouTube to see if I could do the upgrade myself - I think so. I ordered the part from CDW and received it in good order. With a "no tool" process I clipped off the back cover, snapped out the old 4 gigs, slipped in the new CDW chips, with no idea how much additional installation processes might be needed. To my surprise - none. My heretofore sluggish laptop booted up perfectly, all programs in place, and performance matching that of the brand new computer my kids had just surprised me with. Now I have a problem because I have 2 great performing computers.

So Adding 8GB to my old hand-me down laptops makes them once again more useful - particularly in combination with the addition of an SSD.

Ordered the recommended module. Arrived promptly and I popped it in. Took about 15 minutes all in. Working well straight away and PC on Win 10 is running as good as new
