DyKnow Software Suite includes DyKnow Vision and DyKnow Monitor.
Foster interaction and engagement in the classroom with DyKnow Vision software. Teachers can author class notes within the DyKnow Vision interface using ink or text, as well as leverage content from other sources. Students are no longer "human copy machines" when class content is instantaneously transmitted to their computers. Students can make unique, thoughtful annotations that help them learn during class. Polling and chat allow teachers to gauge student understanding during class and adjust instruction on-the-fly. Work submission tools give teachers the ability to securely grade and return work. Both teacher notes and student annotations are saved into a personalized DyKnow notebook, which can be accessed and replayed from any internet-connected computer.
Manage the digital classroom with DyKnow Monitor software. Teachers are able have a birds-eye view of what each student is doing on his or her computer with thumbnail views of all student screens. Unwanted applications or internet sites such as instant messenger or online games can be blocked. Teachers also have the ability to allow or block certain applications or URL's. If a teacher notices that a student is off-task, the teacher can blank the student's screen and also send an attention message. Using an internet-based protocol, DyKnow Monitor's design allows for central server management and bandwidth optimization. This reduces administrative requirements while allowing hundreds of computers to be monitored in wired and wireless environments.
