The NStation L200 is a Network-based computing terminal and incorporates our proprietary server technologies on our proprietary SoC (System on Chip) embedded chip with unique algorithms. This allows multiple users the ability to share the computing resources of a single computer's CPU, Memory, HDD, etc. A max of ten L200 stations can be attached to one host computer(Up to 30 on in Windows Server 2003). A total of eleven users including the server can enjoy individual computing access independently and securely. This NStation is optimal for use in an office, hospital, home, call center, training center, computer lab, internet cafe, and other various sites. In addition, the L200 is NComputing's first device to offer USB ports for external storage to memory sticks.
Compared with the total cost of ownership for individual multi-user H/Ws and S/Ws, You can share affordable computing environment with relatively cheaper cost of ownership. Just purchasing one host computer and multiple NStation L200 as needed up to ten, you can achieve computing environment of max. eleven users at the same.
Since there is no CPU, Memory, or HDD, no additional hardware or software maintenance would be required. The host PC is the only device that requires additional maintenance.
Most programs* that currently run on windows and Linux** will run on the NStation L200 solution without compatibility issues.
Both the Host PC and the NStation L200 can run independently and execute the same applications independently. (Additional Software licenses may be required)
The space saving design creates more room for your office or desk area.
Consuming 5 watts or lower compared to a personal computer's over 250 watts can amount to a significant savings in the long term.
NComputing's proprietary terminal protocol and 128bit encryption provides you with maximum security, and enhances the speed of computing through image caching and improved protocol performance.
The L200 provides an all-in-one solution with a Network Terminal and Enterprise Terminal Server Software developed in-house by NComputing.
NStation L200 provides memory port for USB flash memory device connection. Administrator can enable or disable its data transfer from/to Host PC via Admin console menu option.
