Rated 5 out of 5 bydblack from Pretty Cool Gadget!I use this to get easy access to the boxes of old hard drives I have laying around. In Ubuntu, partitions mount automatically if recognized. If not, the drive is still accessible with the Disk utility, and can be reformatted. This, along with the silicon drive protectors (product number 29566), makes that box of drives usable again.

One of the cylinders on the IDE power connector was missing out of the box. I did not know why I was not able to view the IDE hard drive and could not access the contents. At first, I thought it was something I was missing and then upon checking my settings and then the device and the adapter, I saw one of the copper cylinders on the IDE power connector was missing!!!! I am sure that this can be resolved in a short time and will ALWAYS recommend C2G products as I have never had a problem with any previously bought items.
