Engineered to IEEE 802.11b 2.4GHz (DSSS) standards, the USB511WB can be used with other 802.11b wireless adapters for peer-to-peer Ad Hoc connections, or with a wireless access point to connect your computer to your existing wired network.
Supporting a maximum transfer rate of 11Mbps, the adapter uses an auto-fallback feature to dynamically adjust transfer rates when signal integrity is compromised, making sure that your transmissions always get through at the maximum possible speed. The USB511WB also features enhanced 64/128-bit WEP data encryption to keep your wireless transmissions secure.
