Also, when I go to register on the Asus site, I can't create a new account as the webpage only displays "Sign Up" with nothing to click on or spaces to type in. If Asus can't get it's website right, I'm wondering about its product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Chromebook (cost-benefit) It is a good device, even with the limited capabilities it provides acceptable performance. After 10 months of use it began to have failures, I immediately contacted the technical support department, they validated the serial number and the information that I provided and started the process for the repair as it was still under warranty. Both the customer service department and the technical support department were amazing, they really have highly qualified staff who in just a couple of minutes resolved the situation and made me feel fully supported by a serious and honest company that takes care of its customers.

It's not heavy, so it's a nice laptop to actually put in my lap! It feels good to the touch, keyboard keys are very responsive and the 14 inch screen is a must have. I liked this model so much, I suggested to a friend that he find one to purchase. I am writing this review in exchange for an additional 3 month warranty on this unit.

I have had this in for service multiple times and never corrected for any lenghth of time. I have put it out to pasture as it was untrustworthy. Was never able to use as intended due to issue. I warn all who ask me against ASUS brand .

Previously had a Chromebook from a well known brand that lasted less than 2 years & this one is every bit as good. The best thing was the purchase price was 1/2 of what my previous Chromebook cost. If it lasts longer than 2 years, it's a win for me!

Less than $160, but lots of important features: bigger screen than many Chromebooks; excellent keyboard with what feels like full travel; light weight; awesome battery life. I give this machine a 5 in terms of overall value. If I were rating it against all other notebooks, I'd give it a 4 not a 5 because the screen is not as sharp as that of other machines. But it is perfectly readable and sufficient for the purpose it serves.

Light, fast, less expensive made this choice necessary. Getting used to using this type of computer takes a bit of time, but it appears to be worth the effort. If certain "other" programs or applications can work from this OS, it could make my "selling" much easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice size and features at a great price BUT... I bought one of these to have a simpler lighter and smaller laptop to take on vacation. I had some strange video problems happen once or twice in the couple of days before we left on the trip, but figured it wasn't too important. However, when we got to our destination, it happened over and over. The screen would display random patterns and the computer wouldn't respond at all unless I did a reset that I discovered searching using my phone. Luckily there was a Best Buy near our vacation site, and I had only had the laptop for a week, so I took it in and got a replacement. The person at the service desk said it was a bad video card. Thankfully my new one has worked fine for a month. Now my problem is trying to register it with ASUS for warranty etc. Apparently the model name or number isn't in their list of models so it can't be registered and I get no response from ASUS to help me. So I like the Chromebook but not sure about the company and hope my new one works for years instead of failing in days. I'm writing this review to get an extension on the warranty from ASUS but not sure how that is going to work out.too

Worked fine straight out of the box. Big 14" screen. Intel Celeron N3350 processor is plenty fast for reading email and web surfing. 4 gigs RAM and 32 gig eMMC also plenty adequate for email and web surfing. If most of what you do on a computer is read email and surf the web, a Chromebook is all you need! Price excellent!
