Envision bigger with 2560 x 1440 WQHD, packing four times the pixel density of 720p! Oremium 16:9 wide-format PB278Q LED displays afford 178° wide viewing angles for better productivity, opening extra multitasking space to fit more windows and projects on-screen. ASUS exclusive Splendid Video Intelligence technology, QuickFit Virtual Scale, and 100% sRGB fidelity ensure reality-defining color and image accuracy, giving you true "what you imagine is what you create" power. HDMI, DisplayPort 1.2, and dual-link DVI support WQHD natively, accentuated by room-dominating audio via twin 3W speakers. To help you stay naturally focused, ergonomic design includes tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustment, plus streamlined cabling that keeps clutter off your desktop.

The PB278Q features a 16:9 aspect ratio and a LED-backlit 27" WQHD display that provides 109 pixels per inch (PPI), resulting in high quality 2560 x 1440 visuals - equaling four times the resolution of standard 720p sets. It allows users to view greater image detail and do more with an onscreen footprint larger than that of standard displays. The screen's 109PPI density means there are 109 RGB matrices within one inch. Generally, the more pixels a display has, the more lighting (or power) those pixels require to achieve the best visuals. However, with advanced LED backlighting on the PB278Q, power and energy savings are no longer compromised, while better visuals are assured.

The ASUS PB278Q provides an ultra-wide 178° viewing angle on both horizontal and vertical planes, thereby minimizing onscreen color shift even when viewed from extreme angles. With its WQHD display, you enjoy 77% more desktop space than a full HD screen to spread out your windows and palettes. It is also about 25% sharper than a generic 27" full HD display, delivering ultra-smooth visuals thanks to 5ms (GTG) response time. This ensures you get lag-free experiences in movies and gaming, with the latter looking more vivid, with all in-game details shown in true color. The ASUS PB278Q is undoubtedly your best choice for work and play.

ASUS PB278Q - LED monitor - 27" is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Quality The ASUS PB278Q offers great features for a great price. We purchased about 16 of these and initially everyone loved them. Sadly over time they have failed one by one. The primary issue being the ports. First the Display port goes bad, so we switch to using the HDMI port, then that goes bad. I have 8 of these now that only work with DVI and that is not acceptable for our users. They are off to be recycled.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible rendition of images The monitor lacks brightness and is way too contrasty. As a result, pictures appear darker, shadow detail is completely lost and highlights are muddy. You background images will have to be edited to adjust for the poor display of this monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Asus LED Monitor 27" We were looking for a higher DPI monitor, and found this Asus at a great value, after testing this monitor does in fact have higher resolution than the standard 1080p monitors this is a preffered model for products and content editors that need 2560 x 1440 maximum resolution. The adjusting stand is a great feature that comes with pricier models so well worth the buy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Monitor I've Ever Used! This 2K monitor is has an amazing picture. The colors and brightness were perfect right out of the box (first time I have ever gotten a monitor that I didn't adjust). The only reason this didn't get a perfect score was because I had to send the first one back due to having a large piece of dust inside the screen.Even the monitor with the piece of dust inside it had perfect color and brightness without having to adjust anything out of the box, so you could be pretty certain you're going to get an amazing looking picture from this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid replacement for applications which require Hi-res Graphics display This monitor supports dual-link DVI video, which makes it a viable replacement for the Apple Cinema HD Hi-res graphics monitor. Lots of flexibility in the connectivity,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very satisfied with the choice of this monitor I bought this monitor at the different retail store, since it had lower price than CDW has: quality of the image, monitor build, response times, resolution and pixel pitch of 0.23mm was a great choice. I sit about 2.5-3' away from my monitor and this is just perfect for that distance in size of 27" ... I was researching potential 25" from Asus with 2k resolution but determined 27" would be better since I do not want my monitor to be really really close to my eyes - still need them for the rest of my life :)Warmly recommended monitor for people who are not hooked on "curved" marketing gimmicks, or 0.0001ms response time - which never turns to be truthful!!!Get it!Only con: of CDW pricing is that I got it under $400 and here is almost close to $500 - but I am sure they would do a match price if one asked for it!
