The Brother MFC-L6700DW monochrome laser All-in-One addresses the business needs of workgroups with higher print volumes. It boosts printing and copying at up to 48ppm (based on one-sided printing, change from default setting required) and low cost output with a super high-yield replacement toner cartridge. Advanced security features such as network user authentication help protect against unauthorized access. The large 520-sheet capacity paper tray holds more than a ream a paper for fewer refills, and for additional capacity add-on trays boost total capacity to 1,610 sheets. Quickly scan two-sided documents to a wide variety of destinations using the 70-page capacity auto document feeder or the legal-size document glass. A large, color Touchscreen display provides customized workflow and direct printing from and scanning to popular business cloud services (requires an Internet connection and an account with desired service).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice features Pros: Loaded with features and unlike most other brands, Brother makes the cheapest MFC that can be set up to scan to a fax server. Network and local scanning is good and I have set up the scan software for a few users with USB-connected MFCs and no problems. Reliability is much improved from the previous generation (no more toner leaking everywhere and clogging the fuser heating tube Cons: Like others have said, creasing is often a problem with these. Depends on how long the unit sits idle and cools down. I believe the heat-up cycle for the fuser is not long enough to prevent creases from a cold start. In an effort to have fast startup and be eco-friendly ...we are using paper :/ ...they try to limit the warm-up time to as short as possible at the sacrifice of wasting paper, ruining the first few sheets: definitely not 'green'. I keep updating the firmware on these things in the high hopes that they will finally get it right. It has improved from the very first of these we received, but still NOT resolved. Please at least release an optional firmware that has an extra 15 seconds of warm up from a cold start..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good scanning, bad printing Machine does great with scanning. We use it at a small office on a network, and everyone is able to connect and scan fairly easily. There are some settings needing to be done using a fairly easy to use controller module on every computer that wants to receive scans. Unfortunately the printing has been poor from the very beginning. Printer puts creases in first 2 pages of every print job. Most pages after that come out OK. Also creases anything fed through the fold-out tray. OK if for internal use, but not acceptable to be shown to anyone. Oddly, printing envelopes works fine, has never creased a single envelope, only full 8-1/2x11 pages. Also printing on heavier bonded paper (like checks works better, no creases.

I am very happy with them over the past 5 years and would definitely recommend them highly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dont waste your money machine isn't a good product, not worth the money. the toner doesn't dry when printing it smudges and its not the toner, its the machine. I run professional business and need to do lots of printing, this machine makes you look very unprofessional. i love brother and brought lots of stuff with them, bc of the customer service maybe no more i do business with them.

It's acquisition and consumable costs are lower than most other printers in its class. It was easy to set up on my network, and no driver problems under Windows 10. I don't use the fax capability, but I enjoy the scan, copy and print features. Plenty of tray capacity.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and clear copies While we do love this printer, it is still an issue with two things that seem to be across the board with Brother. After under a year of normal office usage our Fuser is at 78% and the printer starts to wrinkle pages. We have 3 of these printers in the office and they all have the same issue. In total we have 9 Brother Printers and the MFCL6700DW has outlasted the previous models we were purchasing so we are happier with these "higher" end units. The other issue is how difficult it is to get the set up correct for scanning. when ever we move a printer or a computer on the network we can easily change where we are directing the print jobs, but the scanning is a nightmare. I have staff running to other areas of the building because that is the only place they can scan from. Not an issue with the printer itself but with the scan software from Brother. Please make it more user friendly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great I had been using a Brother MFC 8460N for many years. This printer was a great upgrade. The printer is very fast. It holds a lot of paper. Has a super high yield toner. It will duplex without any manual intervention.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not happy with this printer I have been in business for 23 years and have always purchased Brother printers. About 1 1/2 years ago I purchased the 6700. Almost right away, it began putting a crease on the first page or 2 of every print job. We took it to be repaired & were told that this is a common problem with this machine. I thought that perhaps the problem was limited & stupidly purchased another 6700. SAME PROBLEM. Brother company needs to provide a fix for this!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sturdy Build This Brother printer is the sturdiest and most well built printer our clinic has bought to date. Though we are not a heavy use clinic, we had been running into the issue that after about a year any printer that we use would quit working, usually due to feeding issues. This printer has all the functions and capabilities of all our other printers, but all the intricate little pieces that make it function smoothly are much more durable than in other printer models. It has worked flawlessly thus far, and we expect to get 400% of the lifespan with this printer for only 50% more cost to our clinic. Without a doubt this is a good investment and it would be well recommended to any other business.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Frustrating. This is a replacement printer for our first MFC-L6700DW, which we returned to Brother. We kept getting the message that the printer was out of paper. I followed all the online instructions, as well as over the phone consults, to remedy the situation. We returned the printer, and now it's replacement is doing the same - saying that the printer is out of paper. As with the original printer, the only way to get the printer to continue the job is to pull out the paper drawer and forcefully shove it back into place. I'm getting ready to call Brother again, about this very expensive and useless thing on my desk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great BUT....... This machine is great. Scans nicely. Prints and scans fast. Does what I need it to do. EXCEPT- scanning multisized documents. I frequently need to scan packages of 25-150 pages of mixed letter and legal sized documents. The pdf is either legal or letter but never actual size. I specifically ordered this model because I understood that what it was able to do. Neither the machines driver nor the 3rd party software that comes with it is able to do this. I am required to purchase another 3rd party software to accomplish this simple programming item. My previous MFC8950DW did handle multi-sized documents perfectly. This MFC-L6700DW is indicated as the replacement for the MFC8950DW yet it is truly not. If I had known, I would not have purchased this model. I was misled. Suggestion - provide a 3rd party software that scans multi sized documents to PDF actual size document files. AND ability to add a password to the file prior to sending (this should be a given in this day and age.

I only have one occasional problem, where some PDF file simply don't print. When I send to print, the printer receives the data and then resets its self. The connection to Dropbox is my favorite feature.

I have encountered one issue, when it starts it draw 11.4 amps of power causing other sensitive electronics on the same breaker (my modem and router to reboot. Otherwise this printer is excellent.

Decided to use Brothers this time in hopes of saving on the toner costs. If the toner produces the number of pages it claims, I will save a lot. I am about to purchase another one to use as main copier for tax returns.

I have found Brother printers to be quite reliable and efficient to operate. I just purchased this printer as an upgrade to an older multi-function device. I am very pleased. Its quick to print the first page and very fast after that. The scanner is also very fast. It scans both sides at the same time which is great for double sided material and seems to be twice as fast. I am very pleased with every aspect of this machine.

But, sometimes when selecting scanning, there's two beeps and then no scan capability. Power cycling fixes it, until the next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Robust Have gone back to Brother for my medium business all in one device needs for over a decade now. I can connect however I need to, scanning is easy to set up for all my users and most important; I have found by experience that Brother stands behind their products! Customer service is an A+ which I don't give easily. My only frustration is that they have yet to increase the capacity of the machine's internal address book. I don't even remember what the maximum capacity of the address book is but it is far short of what I feel it should be. There is plenty enough room for all my vendor's information in there, but far short of being able to have my customer's information stored. Last item, the touch screen display is a little weird. Not really difficult, but takes some getting used to. It would be nice if the setting for copy density could be set to the darkest setting by default rather than needing to select it for "most" copying jobs.

I then purchased a refurbished MFC-L6700DW for a small business that has very low volume printing needs. The printer is a failure; smudgy print and wrinkled output on single or duplex-printed pages. Wireless printing from the Internet is wrenchingly slow (and the printer is located within six feet of the modem. Superior as a doorstop, not much value for anything else. Will not buy another Brother refurbished product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick and holds a ream of paper For a small office this holds a ream of paper and it quite fast. It is easy to use and the duplex coping is also fast. I can't quite get the scan to work as efficiently as the 8970dw or 8910dw so that is a little disappointing.

This is not very easy to use especially i have different kinds of printing material to print , i hope it has auto detect function for the printing material.

I like that I can still buy the same model now that we purchased six years ago (with some upgrades to the software. They work great for scanning to email, scanning to shared network folders, and printing. It's an excellent machine for medium sized office and needs no changes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pre Windows 10, great printer! This is our 6th MFC & was great...until we went to Windows 10. We downloaded new drivers for it, but you lose features with Win 10. Ease of use is no longer there. Duplex printing is now cumbersome. Very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good printer, but WARNING I have had no issues with most of the features with this printer, the printing is good and clear and the scanning jobs I have done were good quality. There is a warning for anyone that is looking at getting this printer to do a lot of scanning jobs, THIS PRINTER IS NOT CAPABLE OF SCANNING MIXED PAPER SIZES. You have to set it to the largest size paper and scan your pages that way, unlike other printer/scanner combos that can detect the different paper sizes and scan them to the proper sizes. This is not important for some people but this affected the way I was trying to use the scanner for my business. This aspect is not clear in the documentation or website. Perhaps because it isn't so important for some people.

I do get legal documents and like to have the ability to scan not just from auto scanner. Easy to insall

A bit noisy when printing, so you need to be need to be mindful of that when you are on the phone. Just got it, chose it from among many others with same features.
