PROJECT SCOPE
SELLER RESPONSIBILITIES
DPA Module
• Installing and configuring a DPA server for a supported-backup software product (even if Customer has multiple backup products)
• Installing and configuring up to 6 DPA collectors on supported-backup clients, backup servers, or EDL nodes for same backup platform as DPA server
• Discuss for up to 4 hours:
○ Installation of DPA configuration
○ Existing DPA reports and data
○ Interpretations of DPA report data
RM Module
• Installing RM support software, such as Solutions Enabler and iSCSI driver (VNXe only) on RM hosts
• Installing up to 5 RM host agents (including 2-node Exchange or SQL MSCS Clusters if applicable, RM proxy agent for VMware environments, and a mount host)
• Installing and configuring 1 RM server
• Installing 1 application set and associated replication job per RM host containing 1 of the following:
○ NT file system
○ VMware VMFS, or virtual disk, or RDM, or NFS Datastore
○ SQL database
○ Microsoft Exchange
• Configuring RM software to existing EMC storage environment that uses MirrorView/S, SnapView™, SAN Copy™, VNXe Snapsure™, VNXe Replicator, RecoverPoint CDP or RecoverPoint CRR
• Discussing EMC VNX App Protect operational manual contents
CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
• Placing installed and configured unit into production environment
• Validating Customer environment to ensure Customer’s completion of pre-install requirements of RM hosts, storage, VMware, and network
• Obtaining formal EMC product education, as necessary (beyond the mere summary provided hereunder)
• Providing two (2) weeks’ advance notice for any required Seller travel
ENGAGEMENT PLANNING & MANAGEMENT
The following planning tasks will be performed:
1. Internal Project Technical Planning
2. External Project Meeting
3. Project Management
OUT OF SCOPE
• Placing any installed or configured unit into production environment
• Any other Services not specified herein.
ITEM(S) PROVIDED
1. App Protect Solution Configuration Document
SERVICES FEES
The fees due under this SOE include fees for Services and related expenses, as specified in the applicable order.
CUSTOMER LOCATIONS
Seller will provide Services at mutually agreed U.S. location.
PROJECT-SPECIFIC TERMS
1. Customer is responsible for providing all physical and network access, properly functioning hardware and software, and qualified personnel necessary for Seller’s performance of the Services.
2. Customer will provide in advance all applicable Customer safety and security rules/procedures.
3. Customer is responsible for all data, including back-up.
4. Customer will provide reasonable cooperation with, and support of, Seller’s scheduling and performance.
5. Customer will sign Seller’s project sign-off form upon completion of the Services.
6. All Services will be performed at a single site.
7. All Services will be performed during Seller’s normal business hours.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
This Scope of Engagment shall be governed by Seller’s “Terms and Conditions of Product Sales and Service Projects”, accessed via the “Terms & Conditions” link on Seller’s website (the “Agreement”), which are incorporated herein.
