The 1715L touchmonitor is designed, developed and built to provide the most cost-effective touch solutions for system integrators and VARs. It packs Elo quality and reliability into an integrated, affordable touchmonitor. The 3-track magnetic stripe reader (MSR), programmable to either HID or Keyboard Emulation (USB only), is easily installed by the user, providing an elegant, integrated solution and eliminating the need for external brackets or attachments. IntelliTouch surface acoustic wave pure-glass touchscreen technology provides superior image quality and can be activated with finger or glove.

Great upsize/upgrade from the 15" version
Had been using the same model series in a 15" version. Wanted to get something larger so we had more landscape on the touchscreen but was concerned about the image scaling and if it would become degraded.
Image looked great, bright and crisp and it scaled perfectly.
Everything about this 17" was an upgrade. The image was nicer, the touchscreen response was nicer. No complaints at all.
However, in the end, we opted to go with the 19" because the landscape on that screen was just so much more for the small price increase.
If you can get the 19" to fit in your space, do that. If not, the 17" is a great upgrade to the old 15"
