The brand new magenta refill does not print either. I have wasted my money. When the cyan was empty I was forced to order a refill because I could not print anything, even in black only.

It might be cheaper, but the colors could be off, it could bleed on the paper reducing print quality, or it could explode in my printer. The risk is not worth saving a couple bucks.

For each, I've made a point of purchasing HP branded ink when ink replacement is needed. Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP High Yield Ink Does the Job I had a large printing job that was coming up, and became worried that I would run out of magenta ink (HP 951) mid-print. So, I went ahead and purchased an XL Magenta cartridge (plus a cyan and yellow) in anticipation of running out. Boy, am I sure glad I did (and the other 2, as well)! Not long after I started, my regular magenta cartridge ran out of ink (and soon after, so did my cyan and yellow). By the end of the print job, my Magenta HP 951XL cartridge went down to a little above half, while my new regular (HP 951) cyan and yellow cartridges are practically gone. XL is the way to go when you know you print a lot! This Magenta HP 951XL had no issues and printed as vibrantly as it usually does for me. But the best thing about it is how long it can last in a large print job. It did its job, just as was expected.

I have been using their products for over 25 years. The magenta high yield is the best ink yet. It lasts a lot longer but still gives excellent printing & it doesnt smudge. Using the HP ink service is also very economical and fast. They provide overnight shipping and a deep discount. I highly recommend these products.

Never have a quality issue with purchasing name brand products for my printers. My documents always print crisply, don's smear or run. The few problems I've had over the many years I've been purchasing cartridges (ink or toners) through HP have always been quickly resolved immediately without hesitation.

Other then what I have mentioned above I satisfied with my receiving of the replacement Ink Cartridges and for your info I have a total of 3 HP printers in my SE region and 6 HP printers in my SoCal region.

In the 90s briefly experimented with re-inking used cartridges, found that the print quality suffered mostly fuzzy printing, went back to new original cartridges. Always get the XL cartridges as I believe they are better bargain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Magenta Ink Cartridge I have received the 2 black, 1 yellow and 1 cyan, but not the magenta ink cartridge. The yellow cartridge came in a separate package from the black, yellow and cyan. Please reassure me that the magenta has been mailed. Thank you.

Always liked that price was comparable and when there was % off 2nd cartridge I took advantage of extra savings. Also like that free shipping within 2 days. Not any longer. Tracking kept cjangin and last two times took at or over 10 business days. I also have not seen the % off 2nd cartridge in a long time. You no longer off any advantage to order from you. Good by!

It was working fine until I change the cartriges. Now every one of the cartridges is giving a messege. it says cartridge problem. I am very disappointed. I usually buy my cartridges from costco and this time decided to buy them here and they came deffective. I don't use my printer very often and that it is why it took me this long to write a review.

The biggest problems are they now ship in about a week not next day when one or two colors are used up and the print stops printing anything. The other is the waste of ink. Using colors to make "Black ink blacker" regular black works for me and would say of others I have spoke to, they feel the same, just HP ripping people off, other wise there would be a one time setting until it was changed for black or "super black"

Unfortunately, HP has ceased supporting replacement parts for my excellent HP Officejet Pro 8100, so I had to buy a new print head from Amazon.
