The battery life has been steadily going down, and when it would no longer hold charge, I called HP. They said the one year warranty expired a month earlier. Then they wanted to charge me $20 for the phone call!! Incredulous! Have never experienced such insane customer service. The printer works okay, but printing from my Iphone is tricky. The printer formats one-page things into 2 pages frequently. Also, it disconnects your device from wifi to connect with the printer - sometimes doesn't want to return to wifi. The printer is rather slow, goes through expensive ink quickly, and apparently the li-ion battery is junk and only lasts a year. Overall, will not be buying HP again. Very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Left off features from previous model These "mobile" printers apparently are our best option for patrol cars. The previous model had a blue tooth feature making it easy to connect to laptops to print or had an easy adapter port to plug directly into computer and be fed into the main power supply. This newer model does not have the blue tooth feature and requires an inverter to be installed in the patrol car. (Several of which have blown fuses in the cars) Not to mention all ports are in different positions, now requiring different printer mounts to be purchased. Bring back blue tooth option and stop moving ports in redesign to cut back costs when printer mounts are needed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice printer This is a nice printer but the 100's were better due to bluetooth capabilities. If you are printing off of a tablet that you use for navigation the 200 is not the easiest to use as the wifi messes up you wireless signal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The battery will not hold charge for full work day The battery might be OK for light duty and a short work day. The battery looses it's charge if the printer is not plugged in even if printer is turned off. But it is a much better printer than the HP 100 mobile. The 100 is a real piece of junk. These printers might work ok if you never took them out of the office BUT they do not work well as a mobile printer for law enforcement, contractors, traveling sales people, truck drivers etc....

We got these to replace the Mobile 100's (which replaced the 460s and 450s) It seems better than the 100 except that the power is no longer DC in. We had been moving away from inverters in favor of DC adapters in our patrol cars but we have had to add inverters back in to a car that was wired with DC adapters for the 100s. Also, it is physically bigger so now we have to modify the car mounts to accommodate the increased size. The loss of bluetooth is also a minus as we often had 100s with broken USB ports that we could still use via BT. Between the size and the AC power requirement they seem LESS mobile than the older versions. (We still have mobile 450 printers that work. They have busted paper trays, but they work.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Two hours with HP Support to get it working First I bought this printer from HP Direct and they said it was Bluetooth, it is not. Second when I installed the printer the message said successful but the printer icon said No Drivers and gave me errors. HP Support worked on it for 2 hours and had to create two print icons. One for my network and another for a USB connection. I had two HP100's before this printer and never had this type of problem. The mobile printer market is limited so I will live with it.

I have been quite pleased with the quality of prints, the speed, and the the ease of functionality. It is so small that it fits in my carry on bag. Very light weight. I especially recommend this product for people who do a lot of traveling, and need a printer on-the-go.

My issue was that my iPad all of a sudden wouldn’t connect to the printer WiFi. After about 30-35 minutes of trouble shooting I was told that the printer WiFi was no longer working. So I was sold a new printer at a discount price. Upon receiving the new printer I had the exact same issue !!!! I called my company’s tech services and after troubleshooting found that the new printer as well as the old printer still worked properly. Even though the iPad said it wasn’t connected to the printer WiFi it still allowed me to print from it just as I did before. So I was sold a new printer and told the old one was no good when I didn’t need a new printer!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I use this printer as a replacement for a 100 In comparison to the 100 I like it much better. I don't like the fact that the ink needs replacement so frequently. With the 100 I could use a black ink cartridge for about a month sometimes longer. With the 200 I can barely make it a week without changing it, not a good deal, just glad my work pays for those cartridges or I'd have returned the printer. I also don't like that every time you change the ink it requests you to align the ink...NO even bigger waste of ink. I have looked for an override function in the settings but have not found one so please inform me if there is one as I am not going to waste paper or ink doing this every time. I like the all black look of the printer and the size. Prints decent quality also & I like the pop up screen.

We were all surprised at the results. Clean excellent well printed checks that looked like they came off of a very large expense printer. All the reports were printed with the same appearance of professional quality. Definitely a good buy. I'm glad I purchased this printer.

Battery holds charge for a decent amount of time before needing to be plugged in. Due to its lightness, put a rubber mat under while printing on a slick surface, otherwise printer moves around a bit.

They must have misunderstood because it doesn’t. I wish you could make it with Bluetooth as not everybody has wi-fi and I didn’t buy this to use cables. Which I detest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Printer for Small Spaces After much searching online, I bought this printer for living and working on my boat. It wasn't the cheapest model I looked at, but I work from home and needed a certain level of print quality, and this printer seemed to have the best online reviews. The reviews led me to believe that I would save money in the long run by spending a bit more upfront (saving ink and replacement printer costs). I can't speak to that yet--I've only had the printer for a couple of weeks--but I can say that I'm impressed so far. First of all, it was easy to find a place for it, even in the confined spaces of a boat. Second, the printer was easy to set up, even for a technophobe like me. I had it connected and printing within the hour! But the best part of the printer for me is the print speed and quality. It prints faster and with better image quality than the much larger printer I had in my previous home office. I do wish it supported automatic duplexing (two-sided printing), but otherwise, I can't think of a way I would improve upon the product. How long will it survive life on a boat? Only time will tell. But for now, it seems like I made a smart investment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not like the older models While this mobile printer prints well, it has some serious drawbacks compared to the excellent models from years ago that included Bluetooth. The color cartridge on the 200 seems to go down quickly even when printing mostly black ink pages. Not too big of a deal, but something to note. The kicker though is no Bluetooth. This is the biggest disappointment in the printer. It uses WiFi Direct (which is a complete disaster). For those that don't know, you cannot use WiFi Direct if you still need to have your laptop WiFi connected while you are printing. It's an either/or scenario. To even think this was an option is mind boggling. And in the rare case HP answers this, if you are connected to a WiFi network that requires you to approve use, the printer can't connect to that either. So, if you are at a hotel or some other location which isn't home, the wireless options on the printer are completely useless. I'm on sixth HP printer for the house and my wife's office uses HP printers also. We are very pleased with the LaserJets and early InkJets, but this mobile printer needs to go back to the drawing board.

I am responsible for doing payroll for a small company, and was having to help my daughter and family move (and drive) from North Carolina to Colorado. I needed to be able to load the printer in a backpack along with a laptop to fly into North Carolina, then be able to print timesheets and job reports as they came in during the drive as we headed West. I have completed one payroll cycle, and the printer has performed fabulously. I continue to be amazed at the printer's capabilities as well as print quality for such a compact and light weight device. Well done HP!!

I will be sending it back to hp since it is still under warranty

Did not set up to web services and wasn't printing correctly. No letters and barely any black! I tried calling customer service but was hung up on until they closed. Troubleshooted myself with little luck.. Finally had time and called the following week. Got it down to a faulty black cartridge and a new one sent, fine. Now try to set up for the instant ink program and they say this one isn't eligible? So all the emails telling me to register it was for naught. Overall this experience has been really rough... cute printer. Great idea. Service may fall flat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Problems with Wifi Mobile computers I found the wifi difficult to install at an RV Park and had to ask an HP tech to do it. It took him quite awhile. However the next day I was unable to access the wifi because the code had to be entered each day. I was very frustrated that HP no longer includes a cord which would allow me to connect directly to the computer. I had to drive to Home Depot and buy one. Even then it took awhile to figure out how to make it function. The instructions are practically non-existent. My older HP mobile computer was far easier to access and use. Once I spent a lot of time getting it together the printing was fine.

I have wasted an entire afternoon I'm returning this thing but I'm more tempted to destroy it with an ax at this point.

The only problem i got is when i try to switch between 2 printers on my laptop ( i use a tango and the officejet200) for some reason i lost wireless connection on the tango when i use the officejet and after i use the tango i need to reinstall the officejet200.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great photo quality and fast print speed I got this as a temporary backup while my HP LaserJet gets repaired after failing after 15 years of use. This is the best quality inkjet printer I ever had and saw they got the ink drop size down to 3 picoliters so that explains the excellent photo quality. It can also reach up to 20 pages/min on draft and prints borderless 4x6 and 5x7 photos you'd swear come from a photo lab. It prints 600 pages per black and 415 pages per color XL cartridge which is good for a portable. I will keep it as a backup printer and for when I want the higher photo quality this offers over my HP Color LaserJet.

I just put it back together and it works like a charm. I completely think that this is the best purchase I’ve ever made regarding a printer. I actually came to the HP website today thinking maybe I should get a back up. They are on sale today for $100 off, that’s a great deal. If you’re looking at it get it you won’t be sorry.
