Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Printer Somewhat disappointed in this new HP printer. It is very loud and squeaks a lot when printing. Tried to print peel and stick labels and had several mis-feeds. Regular printing seems to print fine and I do like the "instant Ink" feature. Also, I like the next day replacement feature that is included with the extended warranty purchase which was also very inexpensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from CONTINUTING HIGH PERFORMANCE & QUALITY I've used HP inkjet printers for over 30 years in my home office to print documents and photographs and all have met, or exceeded, my expectations. My latest purchase is an Officejet Pro 8210. It was chosen for it's ability to print multiple size pages and envelopes in black & white, or color. I especially like having individual ink cartridges, being able to use extra (XL) capacity cartridges and the many options available to control the quality of the printed document; i.e. "draft, normal, best, color or black& white and border or borderless." The HP Assistant is also a great feature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Low price ! Low quality Bought this printer, was very excited. Opened the box and as I should have figured it was poorly made and a waste of money - never buying HP again! The lid for the ink does not stay open when installing the cartridges. It feels cheaply made, and prints cheaply as well. After an hour of trying to connect it to my internet it would not recognize the password or connect. I’ve had it a day and requested a refund that same night. It’s been a day since they said they would send me a return label...hopefully it comes soon. I need a printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy setup and operation. This printer Is an excellent replacement to my old HP printer.
Date published: 2019-10-21T00:00:00-04:00
Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy set-up My favorite feature is the inside the case paper feeder. The paper lays flat in enclosed space, this keeps it nice between uses. Initial set-up was easy even for a Linux operating system, first use was impressive for both speed and print quality. But the second time I turned it on the printer was 'not responding' and 'printer rejecting jobs', though the screen said connection to network is fine. On screen help successfully printed a page of the advice to go on-line for troubleshooting. I do miss the bad old days when one received a user manual with equipment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always buy HP I replaced my 8210 Office Jet Pro with a new 8210 printer, because the cost of a new printhead was $140 vs $100 for a new printer. this time I bought the three year extended coverage. The 8210 is an excellent printer. Since 1997 I have only purchased HP printers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP ENVY Photo 6255 Printer I purchased my new All-in-One Printer on Sept 4, 2019 and I love it. The copies it makes are terrific. So easy to use and to get set-up. I also took advantage of the Instant Ink program HP offers. My time is very valuable and I don't have time to running to get ink cartridges and this is the perfect program for our office. Because of the way it works, I never run out of ink. Have been a fan of their products for a long time. Way to go HP.com !!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from For the price, this printer can't be beat... Getting a relatively fast printer that can print on both sides of the paper for such a great price was too much to pass up. I don't print much in color but when I do it's usually a document that has multiple pages with color photos that works/looks best when viewed in book form. Enter the Pro 8210. I've had other color printers that worked well but getting them to print to book format was a challenge. Even if I mastered it once it was a learning curve again the next time. In my opinion you can't go wrong with this printer. My rating of Good was only because there was not a rating between Good and Excellent. Excellent is a very rare rating for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features. Especially the 2 sided printing. It took a little longer to get here than it would have, had I ordered from Amazon, or gone to Office Depot. All that aside, the printer is doing everything I need it to do and I am happy with the quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP Officejet Pro 8210 I received this printer on November 8, 2018. It took a little bit to set up, followed by a few problems. But, HP Tech Support is wonderful and helped resolve an initial problem. I also had to uninstall the print driver software and reinstall because print jobs were sticking in the queue and preventing any further printing. It's been a bit of a pain, but I like the printer and will see how it goes from this point forward.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not as wonderful as I had hoped I bought this for my studio to print out graphics on a variety of paper. Heavy Card Stock jams 4-5 times before it finally prints. I was told when sold the machine it would handle 110 lb. card stock without a problem. Even 85 lb. jams. Avery sticker paper also jams about 50% of the time. When it does print the color is great and the speed is also very good. Plain paper works perfectly haha.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Wireless or Ethernet, BAD for USB THe OfficeJet PRo is actually a great inkjet printer. My company has purchased almost 30 of them and until recently, had zero problems. They are fast and produce great output. However, do NOT connect them to a Windows 10 PC with a USB cable. The printer will freeze after a few print jobs and will not work normally again. Even if you stop and restart the spool service, or re-install the driver, it will not print normally again. Once again, highly recommended for Wireless or Ehternet connections, but if you have Windows 10, DO NOT USE USB!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Printer It is an excellent printer, from set-up to use. The document printing, crisp and professional as one would expect from an OfficeJet printer. Automatic duplexing built-in (printing on both sides), no need to attach the duplexer. It is an excellent value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Features and Easy to use! I bought this a month ago or so and super glad I did! I replace my 10+ year old HP printer with this new HP Printer and glad I did! Super easy to install and use right out of the box!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oversized, overweight, overly complex spy printer This is my first-ever online product review. When my trusty old HP slowed way down last year I called HP support and learned they weren't supporting the old model. Instead of going to Costco or another outlet and choosing a new one in person, I accepted the "great deal" on the 8210 offered over the phone. BIG MISTAKE! I wanted a simple, no-frills printer and instead I received a clunky one that's twice as big, twice as heavy, with complicated electronic controls. In addition, I was persuaded to sign on to the printer cartridge service which requires monthly fees, remotely tracks the number of copies you make, and controls the printer! When my credit card on file was cancelled and replaced due to fraud, my printer stopped working, ostensibly because I didn't get the new number to HP quickly enough! Straightening out this snafu took several phone calls, emails, and lots of time! Very aggravating. It creeps me out that HP has my personal information and controls my printer! I am very unhappy with the 8210 and would never recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This printer has never worked right I bought this in Sept 2016 to replace an older HP all in one machine that had quit. I bought it because it was just a printer and that is all I needed it to do and it had wireless capability and printed fast. When it arrived I could not get it set up and spent an hour or more on the phone with a support person to finally get it to work. within a couple of hours it showed an error code and would not print unless I uplugged it and restarted it. It is that way still and as I was very busy in the fall and did not have time to contact HP to try and deal with this issue. I took it off my wi-fi network and plugged it directly into the computer in my office when my 10 year old HP there quit a couple of weeks ago thinking this might solve the problem but it did not. I have always had HP printers and have never had problems like this with any of them. I would not recommend this model based on my experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Initially, highly satisfied. Only time will tell. I am highly satisfied with cost and performance. This is a replacement for my Officejet Pro 8100 that died just before its 8th anniversary. Setup was breeze and first week's performance is excellent. Time will be the true judge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Printing problems Usually love HP products but not this printer. Print jobs keep getting stuck in the queue. I tried the fixes suggested but continued to have this problem. Uninstalled and reinstalled then it worked better for a couple of days. The computer tech we used also had it fixed for a day. At least jobs only get stuck if I print from Word. Have to run the HP print & scan doctor to fix. Also could not register product on line. Enter the product number or the product name and am told no such product. Very frustrating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Difficult to set up Once I got it set up it works well. I had to go on line for help. The web site is confusing. To get help I had to give too many permissions and too much information. All I wanted was a printer that plugged in and let me work. It took too long to buy and too long to set it up. Sales at HP must be on commission as they kept pushing more expensive models on me without regard to my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Printer I am very pleased with this printer, although I notice the cartridges will need to be replaced sooner than I thought. I think that is the only drawback to the printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Printer After 4 years of heavy usage my HP finally gave up the ghost. The 8210 was the logical successor. However, our usage has dropped dramatically so I expect a long life out of this model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I need at a great price. Bought to replace a refurbished HP printer which had finally bit the dust. I took advantage of having HP connect to my wireless and it was quick and seamless. Wonderful response, quicker than previous printer. Dimensions were also important to me, since I have limited space on my library shelves; slightly taller than last printer, so HP, please don't increase dimensions on future versions. Printer is for home use, which includes packages of documents for various organizations to which I belong, including envelopes, labels, mass mailings, card stock and photo printing. I have separate equipment for scanning and copying, so was looking here only for printing capability. Have not employed all as yet (have had printer for just a little over a month) but anticipate no difficulties.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Having trouble printing with HP photo paper. I bought this printer to print on HP photo paper. Every print so has printed the image I intended but the paper does not come out of the printer completely. I have to grab the end and pull it out, which damages the print. I'm not sure if I can get it to work correctly. I may have to send it back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Performance, Lasting Quality I bought and installed the Officejet Pro 8100 five years ago. Fifty thousand copies later, it is still running perfectly...without one paper jam ever. At some point my machine will quit, and them I'll buy its successor, the Officejet Pro 8210. I hope that HP continues to improve, manufacture, and sell single-purpose printers like this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't handle cardstock I bought this printer to have a color printer for printing covers on cardstock for my business. I wasn't sure from the description on the website that it would handle cardstock properly (80 lb. smooth stock). I called HP and the customer service person I spoke with assured me that it would. I tried printing covers today, and if I print them one at a time, it aligns my logo correctly about 65% of the time. But if I try to print more than one, the first one prints great and the others are too high on the page. It's a nice little color printer to accompany my black & white laser printer, but I really need a reliable color printer that will handle 80 lb. stock. Very disappointed with this printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Replacemen I had an Office Jet 8100 that died unexpectedly. I really liked the 8100 as it was fast, printed on both sides, had good resolution when printing photo images on paper tray and was a pain old printer (no fax or scanner). My new 8210 is everything that the 8100 was and is even faster printing so this was an excellent replacement for my needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to set up. Prints well Needed to replace an hp office jet pro printer. This one fit my needs according to the HP profile--home use, some photo printing. Setup on network went smoothly and printing thus far (about a week) has included around fifty copies of text and several photos. So far, so good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and Adequate I have been an HP product user for many years and with HP alerting me to lack of support for my other printer (5540), I went looking for a newer one. This one is built for heavier usage than the other. The setup was easy with one exception. There are 4 print cartridges where each have a product groove to slide into the spring loaded slot. After inserting the cartridge, I experienced several times of the cartridge popping back out. I consider this a flaw in design. In my previous HP printers the cartridges are locked in better. This prevented me from giving a fifth star. Otherwise I am satisfied with the printing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fancy box of average I needed a new printer and loved my 8100 so I wanted something simialar. I found this 8210 on HP store website and it looked great. It has a digital display on the printer and all of these cool features and none of them work, not even the digital display. If you run out of paper you have to get into the program in the computer to tell it to start again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for a Student Good printer, wanted a printer that used the same cartridges as my HP 8710, which is no longer available and has a new model number and different cartridges. Individual color cartridges which is great no waste like in tri color ones. Too many ink cartridges, need to make it simple with fewer ones. Only down side is it does not have as many features as the 8710, but will work great fro my daughter at college.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New office Jet Pro 8210 I purchased this printer about a month ago. I am disappointed that the drivers don't come packaged with the device any longer. I am having issues trying to download drivers. It is wanting me do download the app. That is something that our organization frowns upon. Also it also assumes that everyone is wanting wireless so no printer cables come with the purchase. This is a separate purchase. It has been that way for a while and I do not like that. You have to purchase a separate accessory which is an added cost for the purchase of the printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Printer is good, HP ink program; not so much Printer is good but this will be my last HP thanks to a glitch that shows my HP ink cartridges as faulty on instant ink. All the help desk will do is send more ink; that does not solve the problem. I thought I needed a new printer, but no. Now I just use a cable from printer to the computer if I want the print cartridges to work. The HP instant ink program is not working like it used to and due to glitch, they block the ability for you to print if you connect to the inter webs ;)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great after setup Bought this printer as a replacement for our small business. It works really well, prints quickly, good quality printing. The setup process was not user-friendly. The app it had us download wouldn't do any registration or setup like it was supposed to. Our IT person finally got it to bypass registration on the printer itself after we got frustrated with it. Could definitely be more plug-n-play capable. Great printer otherwise!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP Office jet pro 8210 I recently purchased this one! I haven’t started using it much. However, one thing I wanted to bring it to attention was the tape fell off from inside and it was blocking the cartridge holder from giving me access from installing the cartridges. I was able to put the tape back as it was still sticky fortunately. Not a big issue but I was little surprised and disappointed as it was brand new right out of the box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cannot Completed the Second Page Without Problem A very nice printer and very easy to setup. I purpose to print only, and setting to wifi is very quick, easy However, the instruction is on the printer, just follow the on screen. I have no problem with the color or output with normal plain paper. When it comes to HP thick paper, the problem starts after almost completed the opposite side printed. The printer could not hold the thick paper tie enough to have the last few lines. This caused the output crook or jam the paper. Horrible!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nightmare OfficeJet Pro 8210 Printer Install Love the printer itself. This is the 2nd one I have purchased for our small office. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because HP has made installing the drivers and setup so difficult. Things used to be pretty much plug and play. Now I had to have an outside IT guy come in and get the drivers , etc. I'm no dummy, I've done this for 20+ years but this setup was horrific. The other thing HP wants is for us to sign up for the ink program. Still checking into that, but the constant couple reminders a day gets annoying. Will probably look at a different brand next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP quality construction is unfailing over time This is the third HP "Office Jet" printer I owned in my life, and as time would have it is also the most technically advanced. I feel as though I need to advance my computer skills in order to fully advantage all the features this printer has available. In short, "I love it". I use it conservatively to create, and I plan on printing my larger quantities at a commercial print shop. The paper supply tray is a protective enclosure on all four sides, "nice", and the collection tray is a large enough rectangle, large enough to hold the finished copies and not letting them fall to the floor or anywhere else. An intuitive person can adapt to using this printer quickly, it is just the logic is so much more than the printers of the eighties and deservers to be recognized for more than I can review at this time. I is an obvious very good value as a substantially sturdy, and well functioning piece of equipment. I reccommend this printer for both home and commercial office use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy Cardstock Not Supported This product does not support 110 lb. cardstock, as listed in specs. The device seems unable to spool that paper correctly (begins printing before the paper is positioned correctly, resulting in the top third of the page missing). Multiple people have reached out to HP Support to inquire about the issue, and the company's only response has been to use a different media of a lighter weight. Which means it does not actually work with 110 lb. cardstock as advertised. Very frustrating, as that is one of my primary needs, and I purchased this unit based on the success I had with the Officejet 8100 previously.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't print pictures clearly!! I bought this with the mistake thinking it can print pictures... it was my main requirement. Well, it does print 3/4 of the picture fine but it's grainy on the top 1/4 of the picture!!! After 1.5 hrs on the support line, he determined that it was a hardware, ie, printer problem. But, since I made the mistake of leaving the printer unopened in the box for over half the year, since the HP printer I was replacing it started to work again, the warranty had already expired when I printed my first picture!!! So now it's pretty useless for the purpose I intended. Their suggestion was to buy another printer when my barely used one was defective! I was hoping I'd get some kind of reimbursement or even a credit towards another HP printer that was designed more for picture printing, but he couldn't give me anything?!!! Super, super disappointed and frustrated!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Printer You Wished You'd Had Firs This is the best printer available today for the home and advanced user. It is ONLY a printer. I had one of HPs swiss knife printers that did everything mediocre. I had seen this before, but it disappeared from the site. I had the 8100 model I really liked and this is its successor. Get this if you want a good printer for a good price. Only one initial problem - it wouldn't go into Sleep Mode but the tech desk got it sorted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst printer ever! Extremely disappointed with my new HP 8210 Printer. This printer was purchased to supplement my HP8600 Pro which is getting old and the quality is fading away. This printer is new and this is the first time I replaced the ink cartridge. I only use genuine HP 952 ink. The reason I purchased this printer is to use the same ink cartridges as my HP 8710 printer. Makes it easier to keep the same replacement cartridge on hand. Just like I have two laser printers using 48A cartridges. I have 7 different HP printers to use on various projects. As they get older and go away we try to purchase printers using the same ink. For lasers we will use the never stop printers new . After printing various pages the 8210 printer said the yellow was depleted. I opened the new HP box and took out the 952XL yellow, installed it and continued printing which was now terrible terrible. Streaks of yellow and just poor quality. Plus the yellow was printing lighter than the cartridge which came with the printer (see samples). I replaced the magenta too as that color was missing on the flyers I was printing but the printer never said it was empty. After printing 20 sheets the printer then said the yellow was depleted! Impossible ! I took out the yellow, put in another new HP952 yellow and the printer said printer ink failure to turn printer off and then on again. I did that and got a depleted yellow cartridge error so I replaced it with the previous cartridge then it said depleted yellow again so I put in the other previous yellow cartridge, got a printer error, shut it off and then on and then it printed. But the print quality is terrible. Then I replaced all the cartridges and still poor quality. I spent more on cartridges than the printer and now I have a junk printer and useless cartridges. Cleaned the system twice but still issues. I am thinking the Hp 952 yellow cartridge was defective and somehow that messed up the print head. Make sense? I have used HP printers and ink exclusively ever since you came out with the first color printers. This is the first and only time I have ever had an issue with a printer. This is only the second issue with ink. Back about 15 years ago I did have a bad toner cartridge. Ridiculous I have a brand new 8210, use only original HP ink and have this issue. Where is your quality control?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Printer I had another HP inkjet I use at work and the printhead bit the dust. Of course, it's cheaper to get a whole new printer, so I went to Office Depot to buy an Epson. What a piece of garbage. Itty bitty ink cartridges, slow, no "booklet" setting which I use a lot, and after printing about ten pages I already had to "clean printheads." No, this isn't gonna work for me. But this 8210 has nice fat cartridges like my old printer, and it just spit out 160 color pages like it was made to do it. I am happy to buy this printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Misleading Guide I purchased this printer thinking that I was buying an All-In-ONe Printer, and not just a wireless printer without a feeder, etc. I've been waiting for this printer and open it anxiously to see a paper guide that confirms that it's a "HP Officejet Pro 8210 All-In-One Series" Printer. I worked and worked with this printer to get it to give me a screen-view that would allow me to ask it to print, unsuccessfully. Then realized that it is a wireless only printer...... I needed this printer yesterday, and graciously agreed to have another printer sent out to me ASAP, only to be charged $15.00 for an express fee. I asked the representative to waive the fee since there was a discrepancy with the paperwork. They blatantly denied me. No, no longer buying from HP's website for anything! Misleading and unbending - not a good combination!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Maybe smarter but not as well built as the 8100 I purchased the Pro 8210 to replace my OffJetPro 8100 which was a noisy but efficient and reliable workhorse for almost 9 years and over 18,000 pages without even a paper jam. The most obvious difference is the build quality. Unpacking the 8210 I found that the paper tray did not have the cardboard piece and tape in place to secure the paper tray. I also discovered the metal platform was not properly assembled, finding it was secured in place only on one side of the paper tray. I had to press one side under the plastic tab to secure it properly. There were also issues with the initial set up and initializing process, but I'm giving it some time before I process a return. I'm glad I paid for a 3 year exchange/return plan. Here's hoping. HP, why'd stop making the Pro 8100?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not great feaures I bought the 8210 printer on line from Wal Mart and I am totally unhappy with it. The on/off switch is extremely hard to use and there is a lot of vibration when it turns on. To my surprise, there is no provision to make copies of older documents. I had no way to know that this feature was missing since I bought it on line. I would like to return it, but I cannot find the email to prove that I purchased it from Wal Mart, so what do I do??? Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent Printer, poor quality control and support We purchased three of these printers, new, for a small business. I am the IT Manager for our business and was tasked with setting them up. One printer worked well out of the box, albeit a slightly unconventional I/O and control panel. Good functionality. That being said, one of the printers arrived with a faulty paper jam sensor. HP support automated assistant's suggestion was essentially "clear paper jam" despite no paper being in the printer. Even a hard reset couldn't resolve the issue. To be clear, this was a brand-new out of the box model. Third printer had a circa 2016 bug where after finishing setup, jobs sent to the printer would auto cancel, with an error message along the lines of "must complete setup". Multiple hours of troubleshooting later, contacted HP support. First technician got a whole 2 sentences into our online chat before disconnecting, stating "customer left chat" while I was waiting for their response, before emailing me a dead link to reconnect. Second technician spent an hour telling me to do all things I had already done (turn it off and on again, reset network, update firmware etc.), before instructing me to do something that would intentionally brick the printer. I double checked, was instructed to do so, and the printer was bricked. Technician then disconnected from the chat and didn't send me a reconnect email for another 30 minutes. On top of all of this, you are required to install HP's bloatware HP smart application for these printers to operate at all, along with an ink subscription service. I would be OK with all the nonsense if 2/3 of the printers didn't arrive broken and support wasn't totally useless. For nearly $200 a unit, a 66.6% failure rate is just unacceptable. The one printer that works prints in an acceptable quality, with no easily noticeable print defects. Based on the paperwork you receive with the printer, it has a lot of potentially useful functionality, however I'm hesitant to use it in fear that I will trigger some software bug or break a cheap sensor.

I needed a print only printer, without the added features of fax and scan. This prints clearly, it was easy to set up, and it is a dream to use. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pitiful Product For a Tech company that pontificates that it provides products that PRINT, and to then peddle a poor product like this one is atrocious. And apparently even when reviewers blatantly point out the discrepancies this 'FAKE' printer has, the last thing they do is IMPROVE IT. Sadly, HP printers from the 4000 series to the 8000 series have truly diminished in quality. Customers want a printer that does what it purports to do: PRINT CLEARLY! This one does not, so it's going back. DO NOT BUY! The 5255 has been the best we've had, and of course, since it worked, HP removed it from its stable, and makes all others worse. It's just a pitiful thing that one has to search so intently for a PRINTER THAT WORKS!.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent photo printer with the right HP driver I have owned this printer for roughly 10 months at home. I chose it for highly detailed photo printing. During the calendar year I prepare various photo prints for several photo contests. Additionally, annually at year's end i design and publish a month-per-page calendar of my photos, as holiday gifts for extended family and friends. The only reason I do not give this printer 5 stars is that, at the time I bought it, the basic driver could not print borderless photos. HP customer support directed me to an alternative HP driver that does print borderless photos on this printer. Printing competition photos with Adobe Photoshop on Windows 11. Printing calendar pages with LibreOffice Impress on Windows 11. I did not want fax, scan or copier features because those enlarge the printer footprint and are of no use to me. I own a high-quality flatbed scanner for scanning and copying. Fax is so last century.
