The Juniper Networks PCI Mezzanine Card (PMC) Module with SFP Option (Juniper Networks Part # CTP-FIBER-PMC) is compatible with CTPOS release 4.5R1 and higher. The module uses an advanced Intel 82546 high-performance, low-power Gigabit Ethernet MAC/PHY/Serdes controller chip. It provides an onboard intelligent PCI-X based DMA engine and supports wire-speed 64-bit bus-master DMA operations utilizing maximum PCI/PCI-X bandwidth. Among other features, the CTP-FIBER-PMC module is RoHS-compliant, with a high-performance wire speed of 484 MB/sec (3.8 Gb) sustained raw throughput over 133/100/66 PCI-X. It has an integrated single Intel 82546 dual port MAC/PHY/Serdes chip and offers advanced protocol stack CPU-offload features. Its ultra-low power transceiver consumes less than 1 Watt per port. In addition, copper and fiber 1000Base-X compliant Gigabit Ethernet SFPs are available for the Juniper PMC module, and single-mode (LX) and multimode (SX) SFPs with fiber optics can be used. The SFPs provide two Ethernet ports that are fully compliant with IEEE 802.3x. Compatible with the CTP2000 product line.
