Juniper Networks provides native High Availability (HA) solution, which is imperative for business-critical secure access infrastructure. Juniper Networks High Availability license allows you to share license from one Juniper Networks SA series SSL VPN appliance with one or more additional SA series appliances and is not additive to the concurrent user licenses. The simple rule of thumb for a clustering license is you need one for every SA series appliance you have in the cluster, with the exception of the primary unit, which would have a standard concurrent user license. This results in cost savings to customers when they want to deploy HA capability on SA series appliances.
