I have two places where I use my computer, a table where I may do some work and in my easy chair so I needed an additional power supply for the other locations. As far as I can tell, the original and this additional one are both solid, providing power for my laptop without any problems.

The only problem was that the USB connection end was somewhat loose in fitting, so I had to be careful about checking it periodically to ensure that my laptop was receiving power. This was annoying, but otherwise the adapter seems to be operating just fine and so far I have had no other problems with it.

A bit overpriced, and would love to find an overall slimmer design, but I purchased two and both work as advertised with good build quality. They charge my wife's x1 carbon, my Dell Latitude, my wife's pixel 2, my pixel 3, usb-c headphones, anything I've thrown at it so far has had no issues. Aukey, Anker, and some others are able to get equivalent voltage/amperage out of smaller form factors, wish Lenovo would follow suit or make their laptops more compatible with third party chargers, but it is what it is.

I wish it were smaller - for computer bag use - but I'm glad I am able to get one at all, since one charger is simply not enough for a travel laptop. I would hesitate to use a non-Lenovo device on my PC, given the warnings I've read about substandard components, which can harm or destroy a computer. Overall, I'm very happy with Lenovo's rep who helped me with the purchase, with the item itself, and also the laptop I'll use it on!

The original AC adapter has the 120V plug directly on the adapter and you may not have room or clearance in all situations.

The power adapter is the same one that originally came with the T480s computer. Since there are no moving parts its very easy to use, just connect to the computer and plug into an electrical source and your back up and running if you have been using your battery.

Those all broke within weeks. I use my laptop daily for school so I really needed a reliable charger. I finally ordered one straight from Lenovo and I'm glad I did! It got bent in normal use within weeks of my owning the computer. I'm incredulous that Lenovo would provide a part that is so fragile.

Not sure what else to say about a power cable. Lenovo has apparently moved to all recyclable packaging, which is awesome. Even my Thinkpad's packaging included zero non-recyclable materials--I was able to put all of it in either my city collection bin or my grocery bag bin. Good job Lenovo.

The picture is great and the sound is the best I have experienced in a laptop. My favorite feature is the keyboard. I would have liked it to be a little smaller but am happy overall.

Lenovo power supplies last as long as the equipment does. Never has one go bad in over twenty years use of IBM/Lenovo power supplies. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Charges well, but breaks easily This charger is excellent at getting a good fast charge on your laptop and any other devices that charge using USB-C (I often charge my Android phone with this charger as well). However this is now the third charger I am as, when my laptop is plugged in and my cats knock it onto the floor, if it lands on the plug even a little bit then the metal piece of the plug bends out of alignment extremely easily and then can't make proper contact with the components in the rest of the cord and becomes useless. I went ahead and ordered two this time plus a third-party much cheaper charger for when this one inevitably gets slightly too much pressure put on it from an awkward fall and breaks again. This charger is $50 and is easily rendered useless by simple household mishaps. I've now spent over $200 on these chargers and once I break the last of these I'll just go to the third party ones which seem to be working fine.

There were cheaper alternatives but i went for the replacement by the manufacturer not the secondary market replacements. i am using the new charger for my office so i do not have to carry a charger around with me. Here is the rub. The connection to the laptop is very delicate and will bend if one is not very careful. Once it bends even a little that's it you need another unit. A design flaw or a slick sourse of income. Hence the plethora of off market options.

After receiving it, I'm glad I went this direction. It's crisp, undamaged, and works perfectly as intended right out of the box with no hassle, no cheap idiosyncrasies or corners cut. If you're looking for a replacement charger that just works, spend the extra money and avoid the headache of "compatible" competitors.

It is not however the nice, small one that comes packaged with the computer, it is larger and heavier and bulkier without the rounded edges of small one. I bought the second adapter to keep in my travel bag and as a local backup. It now becomes the one behind the desk that doesn't get moved. Lenova should identify that it is different (larger, heavier and less-friendly designed) than the charger that ships with the computer. Too bad. It however works like any other charger, charging.

I charged it for 4 days while I was on vacation, came back, and my laptop was not only not charged up, but completely dead. I thought the hard drive was ruined and I had so much stuff on it. When I finally got back to work and charged it up with the original power cord, it came right on. I paid $65 for this product, and not only did it arrive 2 days late after a guaranteed 2 day delivery, but it was damaged. When I tried to look into returning it, I had to request a return by e-Mail before it was “approved”. 2 days later I get this very rude and technical e-Mail stating all these requirements and stipulations for how to “properly” return it. I will never be ordering another product from Lenovo.

This official Lenovo supply works fine. It's a bit more expensive, but worth the price.

I mean it's a laptop charger its not exactly gonna water your fields and cook you dinner, but it does exactly what you'd expect it to do and it does it well. All in all I'd say it's a good product choice if you need a laptop charger with this sort of laptop connector. 5/5 would buy again if I needed another laptop charger, though I now have 2 so hopefully I won't.

So, I bought a new Lenovo ThinkPad laptop so I could work from many locations. I also invested in a docking station, so I could use my desktop devices when in my home office. Finally, I bought a second power adapter, so I don't need to move my power supply when moving between my two most common locations. Now, I can simply unplug my laptop from my power adapter and docking station and quickly change locations easily. Of course, the high quality of the Lenovo power adapter makes this possible to do frequently. I really depend on my movable Lenovo system to handle my need to move locations all the time.

They both quit working after a few months. Even though it costs a little more, going directly to Lenovo, it is cheaper in the long run. Less than 24-hours after placing my order, I received a noticed saying my order would be delayed. So instead of receiving it within a week—ish, it took more like 3 weeks. I bought this as a secondary/backup cord for traveling so it’s not like I was dead in the water without it but still, it would have been helpful to have it sooner.

It would be better if the Thinkpads reverted back to older round power jacks that are angled and more robust than theses chargers with straight USB C tips, as per newer Ideapads. New charger did the job but the internal USB C jack on motherboard is a weak point. Thiis T490 replaced another T490 where the internal USB C power port was not charging without jiggling the cable even with a new charger and had to revert to the Thunderport for charging reliablely and redoing battery power settings so that battery does not go too low and I lose work when I thought it was charging with the power port plugged in. It seems that this is a common problem with the USB C power port and jack on the Thinkpads.

I use it with my X13 Gen 3, which also came with an identical one that stays in my laptop bag for travelling. It is a pain getting under the desk to unplug power adapters whenever I travel.

That computer, along with its peripherals, have been very unreliable. It's nice having a second power supply when you move your computer around frequently, and this adapter allows you to have a second one in a bag or an additional location.

The cable from the plug to the block is short, so it cannot be set on a table or even most chairs, cluttering the desktop with the longer cable (from block to laptop). It frequently falls to the floor, taking desk items with it. One in 5 travel locations had a chair that could hold it together. The charging tip does not fully connect and light up the charging. I have to switch PC inlets every time and during charging sometimes. It also gets hot at about 70% charge and falls out of the PC inlet. I was assured 3x by Lenovo that this 65w Power Adapter is correct for my laptop.

My cheaper off-brand charger broke, and I wanted to have a charger for each laptop. I was going to buy a cheap charger from Amazon, so I looked up my old orders to remember what kind of charger I need. When I looked at my purchase history, I realized that in the past I have bought several cheap chargers. Only my old Lenovo charger has remained solid for me. So I switched to Best Buy's website and paid a little more to get another Lenovo that will last for a long time. I would like to say that I prefer ordering from Best Buy since they maintain local storefronts, have knowledgeable staff, have a Geek Squad, and also accept recycling. My Lenovo laptop has also been very reliable. Thank you for solid products.
