Until I found this device! I paired it qith the Powerline 1200 and converted the extender as an access point. Now I am able to get full bar connections not only anywhere in my home, but also outside in my backyard. I highly recommend this product!

It boosted the signal so I could install HD IP Cameras on the two floors above the router. The Fast Lane technology could not be used because I had to fix the router signal to 2.4 GHz in order for the wireless cameras to work. Set-up instructions could have been a little easier...

Since my router is on one end if he House I really needed an extension to reach the other side of the house on the second floor. My router is towards the back of my house, and the signal would not go to the front, through several inside walls, and the outside concrete block wall. The instructions provided would not get the product to work. I had to call Netgear, and one of their support staff did a number of things with me that was not on the instructions to sync my router with the extender. After that, I just put the extender in an outlet near the front of the house, and there was enough signal to make the outside camera work.

I am considering reconfiguring the extender to use as an access point as I have wired ethernet to a room near where the smart TV is located to compare the effectiveness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product A+++++++I got this to get a better signal in the back of my house and it was a little tough to set up but the customer support number was very helpful and free which is nice. They helped me set it up. I'm now able to get a strong signal so I don't have to use all my Data while I'm at home. Great product, it's small so it doesn't take up much space and the signal stays strong and doesn't ever cut out. I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs extra reach off their normal Wi-Fi router.

After installing a Ring Doorbell and Ring Spotlight Cam I found that I needed a WiFi boost for both to function properly. After installing the Netgear AC1200 extender both pieces of Ring equipment worked properly. The dBd signal for both went from a marginal signal strength of about 70 down to an excellent signal strength of about 48.

Many devices can stream at the same time without any kind of delays while watching movies or while playing Xbox games; all at the same time.

I had a little difficulty setting it up but that was more due to the lack of technology on my wifi box than the extender itself. I googled setup instructions and found easy to understand instructions and a video. This extender provides a 2G and 5G network. I am very happy with the range of service the extender provided. I would buy this product again.

I had some very important meetings that came up quickly, so I rushed this order and prayed it worked. It was super easy to set up and it works perfectly. Neither side feels a degradation in service. While my unit is only 1240 square feet, I have always been unable to get solid WiFi from my bedroom or my balcony. After setting this up, I now consistently have WiFi in both areas. Prior to installation of the extender, the signal from the router to the garage was only 55% max (my garage is about 75 ft from the router. I researched extenders and found the Netgear 6120 had a favorable rating. I decided to try it and after installation, the signal outputs to a consistent 95-100% strength. Connecting the extender was a little tricky at first but read and follow the instructions carefully and it should be a breeze to install. Also, the EX6120 offers an option to extend both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz WiFi ranges which is a plus if needed. I gave it a 5-star rating for ease of use and performance.
