The instructions for this device are not the best and could be improved. The website could be improved too. But overall the device is very good to excellent for my expansion needs of doubling ~2000 ft coverage.

I purchased this extender, which was very simple to configure, moved it to a wall outlet about halfway between and plugged it in. After it reconnectedto the X10, I connected the television to it and no further issues with the wireless dropping from the TV. Works extremely well!

We had a hard time with out it getting internet from our living room to just out side or door. Our house is Stone, ( 29 Inches thick ) we had a hard time trying to get service in our back yard, just 25 feet away. Now it is just like sitting in the room with our internet router from Verizon.

We have an AT&T WiFi router that is t strong enough to cover the house. Rather than spend more for a new router I went the extender route. Once I connected the extender to the router I moved it to about the middle of the house in the entry hallway. We now have full bars seamlessly throughout the entire house and can even sit outside on the front porch and still stream movies or surf. Easy setup and less cost than a new router plus seamless connectivity equals a win.

I also liked the wall plug feature so I can easily move it later, like out into the back patio. Initial setup on my laptop wasn't intuitive but through my iPhone it was simple. Also it did the trick allowing me to use 5G for our TV well away from the router.

It was getting 15MBS on 2.4 only. One bar signal strength. It also tried to run the wireless TV cable. I set up the extender in the kitchen, 1/2 way point, and now the desk top receives signal at 70 to 80 MBS with almost full signal strength on 5 MGH channel. The signal has to travel thru the kitchen appliances, the kitchen and bathroom walls, shower, sinks and hot water heater etc. It also runs the cable box with no problem.

Set up easy using the Netgear application. You may need to configure your channels on the modem/router and extender for best results which was easy. Dedicated channel for communicating with modem is great. Using the same credential on extender as your modem/router makes switching seamless. I would have to say that the extended gives better range than Fios Gateway modem/router. A

I wanted something that allowed you to use the same SSID across the home. For this reason I went with MESH technology and I could not be happier. Simple set up - just plug in near the router - connect to a website - configure - and then move the extender to desired location. Works awesome - I get great speed upstairs now. Highly recommend.

I was deciding between tge EX8000 & EX7500, deciding on it because of the size. For my purpose it does exactly as advertised, expands the routers range throughout the house, garage and any where outside, mainly the back and front patios. The unit is very easy to set up and the Netgear online assistant worked great for me. It's plugged into one of our outlets where it expands the range best and can be unplugged and moved with out loosing any programmed info. I don't need to change the wifi connect name since it automaticly uses the same name as the router. I use the EX7500 in conjunction with a Fiber Optic, Century Link (Qwest modem/router, Definately a 5 star product in my book.

I particularly like the way my devices automatically move to the stronger signals as I move around with them. Non-mobile devices (Ring and TiVo began to drop connection and reconnect to the further Netgear gateway, bypassing this device, which is between said devices. After around four phone calls, dropped calls, and hours with customer support reconfiguring settings, it’s too much of a headache.

Seem to only work on certain computers with more updated wifi cards. But once it was set up everything linked to it like a charm. My signal from the router to these devices was very low. Once I installed this router my signal was boosted to excellent. Easy set up made it a lot less stressful too

I love that it shares my existing network names using the mesh technology so that I don't need to manually switch to the extended networks as I roam around the house. It upped my speed in slow areas and haven’t had any issues of devices being able to connect. I have over 20 smart lights that use wifi and this helped get everything working more consistently. I’d recommend.
