Rated 5 out of 5 byDongle_broken from On my second dongleLike others here, the dongle broke after 11 months of use. There are no visible cracks or damage, but seems to be something internal (when the dongle is plugged in, Windows doesn't recognize it - tried all USB ports including ports on other laptops) because the dongle gets warm to the touch even when it's not recognized by Windows. While my employer purchased this headset for me, having it break while waiting for another one is extremely inconvenient. If I was buying this product, I would not recommend it. Other than the dongle, the headset is great (which is the only reason why I gave it a two star rating). If I buy one for personal use, it will not be Plantronics.

Then the 90-degree joint on the dongle broke and the unit was useless. The replacement dongle costs almost as much as a completely new unit.

It has really liberated me from my desk.Mine came with two charges. One that is bulky and plugs into the wall. It is a great stand for the headset. The second is a USB charger that fits in the case, and can go with you on the go.I am on my third dongle. The first one came broken, the second lasted me 11 months. I called Platronics, and they were happy to replace it for me, although I was quite close to the end of the warranty period. I was told that I only have three months warranty on the one they sent, so I assume that I will have to buy a new headset next year. If that is the case, it will not be this one. I cannot afford to buy an expensive headset every two years. If they could fix the dongle, this would be the perfect headset.

Rated 5 out of 5 byNatT from Great Headset- When the dongle doesn't breakI love this headset, I am on my 3rd dongle in 1.5 years. I purchased a new one and have had no luck pairing with the headset. Customer service attempted to help me out but they were unable to troubleshoot.

Rated 5 out of 5 byDongle Killer from Great sound quality, dongle keeps breakingI'm on my third dongle. The hinge keeps cracking. It is a shame a plastic hinge on such an expensive headset is its failure point. When I've called for replacements, the CS rep says I'm the only one who has ever had this problem, making me feel like it has been my fault. I don't travel with the dongle, it just stays plugged into my laptop. The hinge should simply not fail every 3-6 months!

Rated 5 out of 5 byBeepBeepBeep from Poor Battery LifeThis headset comes with lots of nice earpieces for a comfortable fit, but the battery life has been terrible. I'm lucky if I can make it through an hour call before it goes dead, even after charging it on the cradle all night. Very disappointed.
