Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullThe AMD Black Edition AMD FX 8350 / 4 GHz processor is great. I have used this before in my home lab as a virtual host. It is a great processor. I like the fact that it has 8 cores at such a low price point. When I bought it the only intel in the same price range was dual core with HT so it was an easy choice. It performed very well. I had 10 VMs running on it without it even breaking a sweat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI picked this up this weekend for a new home server build. It comes with a fairly quit fan. I am very please with the CPU so far. I have not overclocked but that is not why I bought it. I would recommend highly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullBeen running this fantastic CPU at home for the past year and some change and have been unbelievably satisfied. I have been able to hit 5.426ghz @ 1.6v liquid cooled with a Corsair H80i and verified with CPU-Z. It runs perfectly stable at 17-22c @ 5ghz/1.45v liquid cooled in my Thor V2 Case. Like most AMD CPU's, you can't find a better bang for the buck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI was planning to double my desktop as a server so the ultimate question really became "AMD or Intel?". It's been many years since AMD was really viable as a gaming CPU but with its multiple cores it would definitely be able to handle the server side of my upcoming projects. While I've heard good things about the stock heatsink, I opted for a Cooler Master Evo 212 instead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullA good processor for anything dealing with compression, virtualization, or generic office tasks. Sadly it is marketed as a true 8 core chip, however it shares cache between cores, so it is a bit slower than you'd expect it to be - not as snappy as most current Intel systems. Very good for the price however, and I would choose it over Intel for several different workloads.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nullI bought this processor along with the hardware needed for my first custom-built PC. Before knowing much about GHz and cores, I picked this one due to it's solid price and BIG numbers lol. I have not been let down. This processor handles everything from intense gaming to AV editing and after two years it is still a speed demon.
