Long battery life, very quiet, lightweight. He just charges once a day when he gets home from school, and it charges very quickly. The only drawback is that it takes a while to start up when we open the lid (30 seconds to a minute, maybe).

For this price I got a speedy N5030 processor, 128 GB emmc storage (not the usual 64 found in competitive laptops), UHD screen resolution, and great connectivity: HDMI, USB C, 3 USB A ports, and a micro-SD storage slot. The touchpad features a nifty numeric keypad, accessible with the touch of a key. Storage is also upgradeable to a true SSD. The only downside is that the 4 GB RAM is soldered--not upgradeable--although still adequate for everyday. Disclosure: this review was written in response to offer of warranty extension.

This brand has proven itself to be as user-friendly and capable as the more famous brands I have used. This model has a sleek, modern design, is the perfect size to go anywhere and has a solid, durable construction. I had the easiest time getting my home wifi on it and the keys responded to minimal touch. The unique number pad at the bottom of the keyboard is a nice touch. The year of free warranty and Windows 365 make it a bargain as well. Asus just might be my brand of choice from now into infinity.

I have a lot of applications I have to use and so far have not had any trouble opening them or running them on this laptop. My only complaint is that it’s not a touchscreen which sometimes helps with the apps I use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Packs a Punch, Perfectly Portable.. and Affordable When the screen on my old laptop broke beyond repair, I was horrified, thinking I would never be able to afford to replace it, or that, if I could replace it, it would be with a laptop that wasn't as powerful or useful or that I didn't like as much. Boy, was I wrong! This ASUS L410MA was shockingly affordable and, while I was a little worried about how much use I would get out of such an affordable option, I was pleasantly surprised by the range of features and the amount of power and use I get out of this laptop! As a college student and adjunct instructor--as well as a graphic designer and gamer--I need a decent laptop in order to accomplish my day-to-day tasks, and this laptop has been absolutely perfect for everything I do. Its small size is perfect for taking it with me on-the-go on campus, and I LOVE the fact that the screen lays flat, as it allows me to use it as back-lighting for re-drawing or cleaning up designs. It's super easy to use and performs well--it handles my 20+ browser tab days with ease, I've had no issues with memory or processing speed. You may notice that it does have a fairly small hard drive, but this was easily remedied with the use of a microSD card that I had on-hand, and I've read that it's fairly easy to upgrade the hard drive on this model, too. Hardcore PC gamers likely already realize that this model probably isn't the best option for newer, larger games with amazing graphics, but it has so far gotten the job done when it comes to playing older games that don't require the most up-to-date to technology to run. Other good to know info you might want to know: so, I'm one of those super-clumsy people who drops everything, right? Well, that was the case right after I got this laptop--it took a pretty gnarly fall and it cracked the screen... luckily, though, I had registered my product on my Asus account and was given one year of accidental damage protection, so I'm getting it fixed and, so far, I've run into no problems at all with the warranty claim process. The laptop is great, the service, registration, and warranty has been great... owning this laptop has simply been a treat. I'm glad I chose this one over the other options available at the time, for sure, and I'd recommend it to anyone I know.

However, I can tell you already I love the keyboard setup! The keys are a little larger than what I am used to which makes it much easier for me to type efficiently - very few errors. Thank you for that ASUS! The 1 year warranty is also a big plus - just in case. I'm happy with it and would recommend the E410MA to anyone looking for an excellent laptop.

I purchased this laptop nearly 4 weeks ago, and ASUS offered me a 90-day warranty extension if I submit an honest review, so here's what I think: This PC is fantastic for the price. Considering that it only has 4 GB memory, I was concerned that it wouldn't be able to fulfil all the basic functions of a normal PC, but it passed the test with flying colors. It easily plays YouTube videos without getting stuck, and I watch live TV on it with no trouble at all. In addition, it's very fast, much more so than other inexpensive PCs I've purchased in the past. It's also very user-friendly for working on documents using Microsoft 365/Office Word. Moreover, I appreciate its lightweight design, and find its 14-inch screen more than sufficient. One thing to keep in mind: It apparently requires several important updates upon being turned on for the first time. In my first few days of using it, the PC was somewhat glitchy, but these problems disappeared after I installed 3 or 4 updates. If you experience the same issues, just search for & install updates, and it will correct this. Overall, this little laptop is excellent for everyday use, is a great value for the price, and I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile second computer Compact, solidly built, with backlit keyboard, fanless, and inexpensive, I find it suitable for use where I would not want to use my main computer, such as on the couch or bed or with poor lighting. Windows 10 and Edge are well tuned to the limited processor and amount of RAM available and I have not noticed performance problems while Web browsing or streaming media. The screen is TN and takes some time to get used to if coming from an IPS panel. When looked at from the right angle, characters are sharp, and I find colors decent when looked at from a slightly different angle. The color depth is 8-bit. The included Wi-Fi card (Realtek 8821CE) comes with only one antenna and in a version (RFE 4) currently without Linux support, so I had to replace it with a more compatible one (a spare Atheros QCNFA435 I happened to have). Opening the back of the computer to do that is quite easy. I also installed an SSD (needs to be NVMe 2280 single-sided; I chose a WD SN570 that was on promotion). I am taking a star off from my overall rating because ASUS did not include the M.2 screw necessary to hold the SSD, AND did not even bother to specify the correct size in the laptop's hardware maintenance manual. Measuring the screw for the Wi-Fi card under magnifying glass (it's tiny), I think the correct size is M2-0.4 x 3 mm. I was unable to find it in several nearly hardware stores (smallest they had was M3). This screw size seems to be common inside laptops, however, and I was able to scavenge one from behind the battery of a broken 10-year old laptop I have. I am receiving a 90-day warranty extension from ASUS for providing this feedback.

S model so you have safe reliable and super speed you can switch if you want to download un verified apps but so far I haven't. Uses Microsoft edge so no chrome unless you switch but you can access those websites. Decent, I like it but only had for a day now!

At times it seems to lag with Chrome with just two tabs open, i may switch to Firefox. I simply needed it for portability for customer orders and my daughters online schooling. Speakers are pretty decent too :). Its very light and its nice it has a built in number pad on the trackpad. If i can update this after a few months thatd be great and the backlight is helpful too. I also want to mention i find it cool that the Enter button is highlighted yellow, as this is super helpful and find it ha!

Once I figured out how to get the screen free of distractions that come with Windows 11 and Microsoft Edge, I was very happy. Although this laptop could be considered a downgrade from my 2015 Zenbook that I bought when it first was released and which had 8GB, double the memory, it has all the features I need for 1/4 the price I paid for my previous ASUS laptop. The keyboard is slightly different and I am getting used to the extra row of keys on the right side that may come in handy for moving up and down the page when searching the web. What do I do on the laptop? Play a few games( classic words, jigsaw puzzles, and solitaire). Search the web. Write using Microsoft Word. By the way, Microsoft Office 365 comes installed free for one year. I have been using MS Office 7 and trying out the web version. Mya op out of the free version as I don't use the "Cloud" to store anything. I prefer external hard drives as a backup. Change is difficult for me and I am so glad this laptop is so much like my first ASUS, which by the way is still running, albeit the battery dies after 2-3 hours, and the keyboard sticks a little. If you aren't a gamer or heavy user, I highly recommend this 2019 model.

I found it to have an excellent keyboard and mouse pad for an entry level product. Also like how light it is, while providing a nice 14 inch screen. It also has plenty of USB ports and a nice Micro SD slot that ensure the entire SD card can be inserted into the slot.

I ordered on Wednesday and received on Friday, very fast shipping. I'm in love with it already and love the pink color. Screen size is perfect for that I'm using for, which are my college classes. Another perk that I like is where the pad can be used for number entry, and can toggle it off and on. Some people gave this laptop poor rating when I was reading the reviews but I decided to order anyway and I'm so glad I did. Very happy with my purchase!

I am pleasantly surprised and impressed by its performance, speed, and Windows 11 features. I haven't mastered the integrated numbers pad yet, and it has a 14" screen vs. the 16" that I'm accustomed to, which is why I rated it 4 stars. However, I'm confident that I will overcome those differences with a little more time and am otherwise very happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1st time owner of an ASUS... I'm an HP or Toshiba Well I'm an HP and Toshiba product user. I had issues right when I brought it home and took it out and started downloading all the programs needed to put on the laptop. Right when it was on the last download it stopped running and gave= me an error code. I followed the instructions that it said to do and several times I got the same error code. I had to take it back to see about getting a replacement but the computer tech ran a diagnostic and found the issue it had a bad OS system on it. they reinstalled the OS system and was told everything is good to go. Well I hate to say I told you so but I came to start using it and I started finishing the last download and up came a blue screen with an error code so I wasn't happy with the product. I like to give second chances but three, I really don't although three is a charm. I've had it repaired and it's working fine for now and I'm getting used to it there is a difference from my older laptop, connections, size and screen size plus it doesn't have a cd to run programs that come with cd's to install so I have to go to web sites to get the download. So until then if anything should happen I'll be sure to post it.

The browser I choose to use is not the native one that is installed and it is slow to load and start, but I think that is to be expected considering the entry level price. I wasn't thrilled that it automatically began updating to Windows 11 and there was nothing I could do to stop it. Other than that, I don't have anything to complain about. It is a good laptop that is able to perform the tasks that I had wanted it for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great For The Price! Got this laptop on sale from Best Buy. Finally replacing an older 11.6" ASUS laptop I bought when Windows 8 first came out. (Still fully functional!) My first experience with an eMMC drive, as opposed to hard drive or SSD. Not as speedy as SSD, but better than standard mechanical hard drives. This is not a gaming machine, or for professional photo or video editing. But for E-Mail, web browsing, and standard Office apps, it performs well. I was thrilled to find that it included a year of Microsoft 365 Personal as no extra charge. This had not been noted anywhere in the Best Buy info. Very happy so far, especially since it came without any bloatware installed. Clean as a whistle, good performance, I look forward to using it more.

I have been a mac user for the past 15 years but wanted to buy something really cheap for my daughter. but after using this I have given up on macs. this is amazing and unbelievable. However, I am using Linux mint on this so can't say much about how windows will do on it. I have upgraded it with an OKN AX200 wifi adapter and fixed an extra aux antenna as there was only 1 antenna in the original card. I have also put WD 1TB NVME SSD. Boot time on Linux mint is 12 seconds and apps run amazingly smooth. designing is beautiful. No complaints so far. The screen is a big letdown but that's the best you can get for the price. Don't expect to run heavy software. It's a daily on-the-go web surfing or movie laptop. the battery is fantastic I have been getting around 8-12 hours on a single charge.

It is hard to hear even with sound all the way up unless you are within 3 feet of it, my old Asus could be heard across the room. Can not get past having to log in each time I open it up. Only one thing I do not like is the touch pad. all of touch pad is touch, so if you are like me, when you go to push left or right click buttons cursor moves across the screen and you end up clicking the wrong thing. You have to hold finger on the edge to try and not do this.

My research turned up this gem and I could not believe the price. Well below what I felt I would need to pay. The storage is less than my old laptop, 64 gig vice 500, but more than I should ever need. Plus it is solid state vice a disc drive so I am confident I will not have to worry about another disc failure. Would be better with a touch screen but so far I am extremely pleased with design, preloaded apps, screen display, and speed and performance.

I bought a laptop from another retailer after 2 days the charger stopped working so I had to do an exchange. The exchanged laptop stopped working after 45 days, so I had to return and exchange the laptop for the third time. After 100 days, that laptop stopped working and/or charging. I cannot say for certain that this laptop will last, but I can hold out hope. As for right now, I am in love with it so far. All of the extra features and perks that came with my purchase made it worth it also and I got it at a great price.

It would have been MUCH better if it had 8GB of RAM instead of 4GB. Don't get me wrong, it runs great but if I have too many things opened, it has brief hiccups here and there. It does catch up if you wait a second or two. I don't think it's the CPU. That's my only "complaint" but here are the great points about this laptop: - Great battery life - Excellent keyboard and the convertible touch pad to a keypad is unique and useful - Windows 11 - Lightweight. Great for traveling on vacation. Just the right size at 14". - Screen is decent but it's not IPS and I don't expect it to be at this price level - Fast recharge Note the 64GB SSD may be a bit small. You get about 29GB of free space since the rest is taken up by Windows. All you need to do is buy a low-profile USB flash drive. They are cheap and you can get a 128GB one for around $15. Stick it in one of the USB port and forget about it. Instant new hard drive! Although I "complain" about the 4GB RAM, it seems every vendor building this class of laptop has 4GB RAM (and same CPU). So it pretty much makes you compare price with size, weight, warranty and customer service. Whatever manufacturer builds the first one of this class of laptop with 8GB RAM will hit a home run.

It is very barebones, but for the price provides exactly what it needs to. Not to sluggish for general work: Excel, Power Point, Word, able to navigate the internet and brows while working. I have a DELL laptop computer but it's going on 7 years old and is getting slow. I wanted something to replace it in case it went dead and the kids needed one for school. I will only be using it to browse internet, do email, and school work. I'm new to ASUS, my husband claims it's a decent brand. So we'll see, fingers crossed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Has potential, but have had a lot of issues This product was gifted to me, which I'm thoroughly grateful for, but I've had issues from the beginning with this product; internet connectivity issues, the screen blacking out for a second here and there, the motherboard eventually dying after having it for almost a year and ASUS not really working with me at first, but then eventually taking it in to fix it, a random and concerning blue screen recently with a loud humming noise, etc. I suspect maybe I just got a faulty laptop, as I take care of it as best I can and do frequent checks on it, but dear lord... just based on my experience, I'm not sure I'd recommend it.

Display is not so great from an angle and no touchscreen. I wish that it came with more than 4GB ram. I haven't looked into it much, but I recall reading that the ram is soldered to the mobo. Very capable little, inexpensive windows machine.

I looked through some websites a couple of times and then I didn't use it again for a couple of weeks. I'm not use to having a computer of any kind. I've used my phone for everything for over 10 years now. When I went to use it last week, I was able to put my pin in and then I got nothing, but a white screen. I haven't been able to do anything. I would not recommend this to anyone.
