I pulled out the cord and found black gunk, as if it overheated and shorted itself out. It worked great until it didn't. I hate to think the next one will also only last a year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good looks, does not work consistently I’ve had this for a couple of years and used it with 3 different phones and was working great. The design is very nice and it’s a practical thing to have. The watch charger works all the time but you have to ensure that the charge indicator appears before you walk away from the dock. However, it does not work all the time with iPhone XS MAX and this is really the issue. I place the phone on the dock and hear the bleep sound from the phone indicating that it is charging but in the morning it might not be charged. The connector seems to be in place and not damaged and there is power in the dock because the watch is being charged. Next time it will charge without a problem. For the price paid and considering the name brand, I expected the product to work for a much longer time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Makes me happy to look at it! I am so glad I purchased this for myself as a belated Christmas present. It is so compact and de-clutters my bedroom nightstand. So glad to be able to view the watch while charging AND a bonus I wasn't expected was roll over and quickly use the phone while docked - to snooze an alarm, see the preview of a text/notification. I sorta wish I hated waited for the black to be in stock, but the white is not a problem. It takes a little getting use to connecting the phone, but not a problem - can't quite pull out the phone in one hand, but again not a big deal. Overall very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Literally fell apart I bought this charger from Verizon wireless as my wife really wanted a wireless charging stand for her phone and watch, however this was the only model Verizon had. We have had this for about 4/5 months and it hasn’t been moved since being placed next to the bed. When I was cleaning today I picked up the charging station and the bottom weight literally falls out of the bottom and the internal parts just tumble out. Terrible quality for $100!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid! I just bought this charger and it arrived a few days ago. I came from an iPhone 6S and received my new iPhone XR today through work. The build is actually more solid, I find, than the previous Valet charger I had from Belkin before for 2-3 years. The new one is more compact and takes up less room. I actually prefer the design of the older version, but this one’s well built so it’s irrelevant. Anyway, it charges quickly and I don’t expect any issues with the quality. Expensive, but you get what you pay for.

The height of the lightning connector is adjustable, which is good, but that makes it unstable and difficult to connect the iPhone Xs Max. Otherwise, I really like it - doesn't use much space on the nightstand and eliminated some cords.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made a Mistake I bought this based on all the good reviews, but I really should have bought the wireless charger version for the iPhone, this antiquated way of connecting /recharging the iPhone XR is nothing but a big problem. I have an Otter case, and it is so impossible to get the phone onto the charger base (No matter the height of the connector to charge the phone. So now I have an expensive office paperweight that only charges the Apple Watch. So, be careful in your choice and make sure this works for your situation, it did not work for mine.

I wish I had been able to order it in a white color. My black unit sits on my nightstand and without light it is not always easy to fit the phone on the connector.

I assumed the phone would charge simply by laying it against the holder, similar to other chargers I have. Instead, you have to plug it in at the base, and the plug is sticky and difficult to use. I would not buy again.

I keep mine on my home office desk so I don’t have to carry my charger around (even if it’s just within the house). Would recommend it. Knocking off a star only (ideally only half a star) because it needs a little care to ensure phone is docked correctly before assuming it’s charging. It’s still quite good, that part could be only slightly better. Would totally recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Phone port not good I purchased the charger about 4 months ago. I really liked it and was really nice not to have multiple charging cords. I liked it so much I bought 4 more for Christmas gifts. A few weeks ago I noticed my phone didn't charge overnight. Although I found putting the phone into the charging port somewhat difficult at times it was a minor issue. I tried putting in the normal Apple cord to charge and noticed the charging port on the phone wouldn't work unless I moved it around to make the connection. I brought my phone into the Apple store who confirmed a problem with the port. After asking the people I gifted the charger, two of them said they started experiencing the same issue. My choice now is to either get another phone which with my phone insurance will cost me $199.00 or just get a charging pad so I won't have to be concerned about port charging. I love the design except for the phone charging port which appears to damage the phone port after a while. Unfortunately it will not only serve as a charger for my watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Broken lightning connector This is the second Belkin powerhouse I have boughten for my wife. Both times the lightening connector of the charger has broken off in her phone. The first charger lasted about 8 months this time it lasted about 3 years. I called in the o get a replacement because belkin has a "lifetime warranty" plastered on their website. However for this charger it is 2 years. Now I will be going to buy a different charger cause this one breaks to easily. You would think for how expensive they are they would be made better.

But...of course just after return period ended the lightning phone port stopped working and despite trying several times adjusting the height of the connector it just does not charge.

Doesn't support large phone case (VRS Design) had to buy adaptor to fit over the charging plug in order to use case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast Charger This charger, for your iPhone, Apple Watch and Apple Earbuds, charges very fast! It is small and compact and takes up very little space. I have this in my office for my iPhone and Apple Watch (no earbuds yet), and my items are charged within less than 30-45 minutes. Highly recommend this item so much that I'll probably get another for home.
