Not as sturdy as they used to be, Brenthaven warranty not honored
t seems that the build quality on Brenthaven backpacks isn't what it used to be. I had a Metrolite pack that I used almost every day for 5 years commuting to an office. After the zipper finally wore out, I replaced it with another Metrolite last year and the left shoulder strap broke after nine months of casual use (I am right handed and carry it almost exclusively on my right shoulder and work from a home office now which means it's used a few times a month when I travel). I contacted Brenthaven and they told me the failure was due to normal use and would not be covered by warranty. Brenthaven packs have some neat features for the traveler, but I'll never buy another Brenthaven pack as they are useless to me if they no longer stand up to occasional travel.
