Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast, double sided printing The printer has worked flawlessly so far. The double sided printing couldn't be better. So far, the only fly in the ointment is when I print envelopes. The instructions require you to open the rear panel and flip down a couple of levers. This is a pain, particularly since I have the printer installed in a cabinet and the back is hard to reach. My previous Brother laser printer did not require this, most likely because it could only do single sided printing. But given the advantages of automatic double sided printer vs the relatively few times I print envelopes, I can live with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good, with one problem Wonderful printer (so far with excellent speed and ease of set-up and use, with one exception: we don't like the "deep sleep" mode and had to work our tails off to fix it. Your tech support person was no help, and the lack of a printed owner's manual was aggravating. "Sleep" mode is fine, as printer awakens as soon a data is sent; "deep sleep" was way too Rip Van Winkle.

When I realize it only prints it was too late to return it and I am a student and I need more than just printing. It is a good printer, but too much for just printing.

I took it back and a piece was missing. the second one after about a week started putting three large dots on the left sid of every sheet. I'm a tax accountant and print a lot and this does not look professional. I dont have time to take this one back yet. I'm toooo busy working.

We used to have printers that we would have to reinstall the driver when a different device printed to it. I love the duplex feature as well to save on paper. Especially now we are all working from home during the pandemic.

The Brother HL-2370DX XL Compact Laser Printer is a great value for our office since we print over 6000 black and white copies which saves us money; compared to our inkjet printer where the copies costed three times as much. Also, this printer`s toner has a longer life over the inkjet cartridge that drys up and becomes unusable.The laser caliber printing is superior to inkjet due to the laser high resolution quality copies that it prints each and every time. One of our favorite features was that this laser printer came equipped with 2 years of toner. This laser printer was extremely easy to assemble, to install the software, and to sync up for wireless printing. Overall this Brother HL-2370DX laser printer has been a big improvement over our last inkjet printer: more user-friendly, saving money by not having to buy lots of ink cartridges, producing higher quality copies, and surpassing the high volume demands that our office requires.

Not a single one as yet with the Brother. It was also easy to install, important for a non-tech savvy person like me.

I have been using this printer for about two weeks now. The Brother XL Compact Laser Printer is a very compact and seemingly well built printer. When the printer arrived I pulled the unit out of the box, found and read the Quick Setup Guide, and began setting up the printer which all took about 30 minutes to my first print. Since I was installing the printer on a Mac without a disc drive I had to download the software from Brother`s website. The setup from the Quick Setup Guide was pretty straightforward. The only hiccup that I had was that initially I was a little confused with the installing of the toner cartridge, but I am fairly sure that was from me overthinking it. I was able to setup the printer for wireless printing from all of my Mac devices including my iPhone with ease which is my favorite feature of this printer. My previous printer would never stay connected to wifi and was extremely difficult to setup for wireless printing from multiple devices.Overall I think that this is a great printer for my small home office needs. The quality of the prints are great so far. The range in tones from dark to light appear exactly as I would expect. I love the fact that I can set this printer out of the way without it taking up any significant amount of space. I look forward to seeing how it handles itself during busier times when I have a consistent need for a higher volume of printing.

This is much better than many printers I have which seem to eat toner very quickly. I also like how the printer automatically prints double sided, saving paper and money!! On top of this the printer is easy to set up and use!

The starter toner cartridge is gone now. The store didn't have a xl cartridge when I purchased. Hope they do now. The copies are a lot darker in the background than my last brother printer also.

Upon unpacking the box, I was very impressed with the included amount of toner with this product. I was also relieved that the setup instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I have everything complete in under 10 minutes. The cartridge was easy to insert and but connecting Wifi was a bit challenging in that it took some effort to enter my Wifi password. A Wifi printer is a bonus for me, because it allows me to print documents from my smartphone. It has a nice compact size that fits anywhere in my home. I feel that the only downside to this product is the lack of presence of a scanner. Otherwise, this is a wonderful addition to my home office!

I have yet to actually find a jam, but we have had to check every compartment each time we get this warning in order to get the printer to do it's job. Will likely be returning it. Not efficient at all.

I got this printer just in time to make good use of it for my end-of-the-year business needs (busiest time is 4th quarter) and fast printing of 100 holiday letters. So I have used it frequently in a short time and I am very happy with the printer`s performance so far. A few features I like most about it...1) It is very compact, not only for a laser printer, but for any printer. At about 15" by 15", it has a smaller footprint than my All-in-One inkjet printer.2) It comes with a nice long cord, so finding a way to plug it in from my desk area to the wall was easy, without an extension cord. 3) Like most printers nowadays, it also runs on wifi and can print from computers and mobile devices.4) It comes with a lot of ink...two years of toner (~7500 pages). So it is very convenient that I won`t have to fear running out and won`t have to spend any more to buy toner anytime soon. It also holds a lot of paper.5) It comes with free support for the life of the product. This is very important to me because I work from a home office and have no tech support. If something goes wrong, it is on me to figure it out. Having that extra help, if needed, gives me great comfort. Set up was relatively easy. I had a few problems getting it connected to my wifi network and, not sure if everyone has to do this, but wound up having to enter the 17 digit Xfinity wifi password by selecting each character by scrolling through 3 lists of Upper Case letters, Lower Case letters, and Numbers, as there is no keypad to enter them. This was a bit time consuming, but hopefully was a one-time issue. When I started printing, I was very pleased with the speed, the sharpness of the print, and the cleanliness (no smudges or random ink that sometimes happens with an inkjet). It holds more than enough paper and the printer feels very sturdy. Of course, this is just a B&W printer, so I will still retain my color All-in-One. Both drivers are on my main computer and it has been no problem switching back and forth between printers for any given document. In fact, the Brother Compact Laser is in another room and it gets the signal to print immediately, whereas the inkjet sitting 3 feet from my computer sometimes doesn`t receive the wifi signal properly. I will also be connecting this new printer to a new computer in the conference room where it resides. All in all, I could not be more pleased with this printer. I print lots of handouts for my clients, so this will definitely be a well-used printer. It is perfect for my small business needs.

Before I get into anything negative it needs to be known I think this is an excellent printer. Fast and clear! Printing quality: the quality of every page I printed was extremely clear. No signs of smudges or lack of detail in the black and white prints. Assembly: It seems to be a very sturdy design overall. The size is nice and it`s not too heavy if it needs to be moved. One of the few negatives I had with the product is the paper tray. The paper size adjuster seemed to be very easy to slip out of alignment making it difficult to adjust or insert the paper. It was still useable but provided a minor headache. I also wish the power cable was detachable as fixed chords have a tendency to break and then you`re kind of on your own.Speed: Excellent! This printer fires out what you need extremely fast.Ease of use: once you get it running it`s very easy to use but setting it up was no easy task. Getting it to communicate with my computer over WiFi wasn`t easy and the instructions weren`t a lot of help. Also typing stuff in. On the printer such as WiFi passwords took ages as it`s a slightly older design (it seems. Overall: for the price of the printer it`s great. Fast and clear! The few issues it has you get over immediately after setting it up. The ink also seems like it`s going to last quite a while. I`ve done countless prints on it to test it out and there has been no drop in quality yet.

The printer was extremely easy to set up and get connected to my wifi. It`s light enough for you to assemble alone (I say this because some printers are heavy and require two people to get out the printer from the box. I think this printer is perfect for a person with a small/growing business, college student or family. The downside is it does not have a scanner, I know technology is advancing so we are using less scanning at home but when you want to stay organized with certain papers. Since no scanning option then that means no copier. I think copy machines are a must for a business. I do like that I can print many pages without a lag and it is super fast. I printed a lot of pages and it went by so fast. It makes the typical sound of a printer not too loud and not too quiet. The quality of the print is amazing which should be expected since Brother is such a well-known brand. I do like the option of the feeder for labels, envelopes, letterhead and other things you need a feeder for. The printer can hold a lot of paper which is a huge plus for me because I hate having to fill the paper tray on a daily basis since I print so much. I love the printer just wish the feeder could scan. I think this is perfect if you don`t scan or copy much, its fast but small enough to fit on your desk.

The Brother HL-L2370DW XL Compact Laser Printer is a functional and reliable printer. It prints in better quality, faster, and is more energy efficient than the Brother HL-2240 I own. Brother printers are durable and easy to assemble. However, the Brother HL-L2370DW XL Compact Laser Printer does not print in color. So, those that are seeking a color printer will be disappointed. Also, I am more partial to printers that also scan and copy. This printer does neither. Overall, I still think the Brother HL-L2370DW XL Compact Laser Printer is a quality printer even if it does not have all of the features I seek.

I have been using this printer for about 3 weeks now and I have to say that I really love this printer. It`s worked perfectly with no issues. After I unboxed it, I had it up and running in minutes. The cartridge was easy to insert and it was so simple to set up the Wifi connectionjust the touch of a button to sync. A Wifi printer is a must for me, because I frequently print documents from my smartphone. It has a nice compact size that fits anywhere in my home office. I had it on my desk originally, but I moved it inside one of my cabinets and it fit perfectly. Honestly, after years of having an inkjet printer, I had forgotten how nice it is to use a laser printer. It is much faster at printing than an inkjet printer. It`s seriously fast. And I love how economical a laser jet toner cartridge is versus an ink jet cartridge. The model I received has an extra cartridge which gives it enough toner to last for two years. Now I can print whatever I want without worrying about having to replace the toner. Finally, the large paper tray is also a nice feature. It holds twice the amount of paper as my old printer. I just wish I had gotten this printer sooner.

I am writing to review the Brother HL-L2370DW XL printer. Assembly:There was no assembly as the printer was almost ready to use right out of the box. Setup:The quick setup guide was helpful but there was no mention of how to select numbers and letters while entering the WiFi password (you need to press `OK` after each number or letter), granted it wasn`t difficult to determine what I needed to do.Pros:Very fast printerPrinting quality is crisp and clearWireless printing from laptops and mobile devicesFor the prices I saw online it is a good quality printerHaving an actual paper try makes it feel like a much more expensive printerENERGY STAR CertifiedCons:The wireless setup was a bit clunky. It attempted to do an auto discover using the WiFi button and I never an option to select a SSID or enter a password. I needed to wait for the auto discover to timeout. I was able to complete the wireless setup using the quick setup guide. I`m not sure why I was able to locate my wireless so easily through the quick setup options and the auto discovery could not locate available wireless connections.

This is a pretty decent Black and White laser printer and would be a good choice for anyone who is looking for a smaller scale workhorse printer. The overall look is clean and compact. Out of the box it took less than 10 minutes to setup to print wirelessly. The first test print took 15 seconds from clicking print to having the printed sheet in hand. The print looked great but was pretty loud compared to my inkjet. In this day in age it`s hard for me to find a use for a black-only printer, but the fact that it includes so much toner means that it would likely last several years without having to buy anything additional which really appeals to me. Overall a solid 4 stars as an overall printer and 5 stars compared to other toner printers on the market.

As I set up the printer,I was impressed with the amount of toner given. The instructions for setting up were very clear and concise. I ran a couple test pages and was thoroughly impressed. The pages printed flawlessly, crisp and clear. The operation of the printer was rather quiet which added to my delight. I would recommend this printer for anyone looking for an easy to use efficient machine and a guarantee of not needing toner for quite some time. It`s compact enough for my home use, and runs well enough to handle more intense work tasks as well!

Simple and easy setup, I did it in very little time! Small, compact and does the job: print! This is an excellent product! I am able to print effortlessly from all my IOS devices. I love going wireless! The two sided printing saves paper. The customer service team is simply fantastic. I had questions about the compatibility of the printer with my devices and setup, so I called in to get assistance and had absolutely no issues. Downloading & installing the driver on my Mac was a snap & the printer was up and running less than ten minutes after I unpacked it. Piece of cake! Highly recommended. It works like a charm. Thanks Brother!

We only use this for printing quotes and copies of customer qualifiers. I am on the fence of purchasing one for myself and my son in law. I like that the wifi works with my iPhone. Quality prints at a great price point .... Brother is the winner!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It Really Spits Those Pages Out! The problem is that I have to run a drop cord into another room to keep it from shutting my computer down. I bought a new 500 watt backup for my computer, thinking that would solve the problem. It didn't. My house was built in 1976 to the specs of 1976. I looked more closely at the printer, and it is an energy hog! It pulls up to 1,300 watts at peak. I can heat my downstairs in an Iowa winter with 1,000 watts. Calipornia won't even allow the little pig into their stores. You run run a small office with this little hog. However, IT Does Work better than any printer I have ever had, and I won't need more ink for probably 10 years. The guy at Best Buy sold me an extra cartridge. Just seems like Brother could have done it without drawing all of that energy. I don't print much, so running a 25 foot drop cord to the bathroom to print isn't that big a deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good printer, but 2-sided printing problem This monochrome laser replaced my 14 year old Brother, which worked well until the end. This version has more bells and whistles, including WiFi printing, but has one major printing problem. The software fails to properly print double-sided on long side. The second side prints and reprints all over one quarter of the page, rather than properly. Short-sided printing works fine, but it results in a flipped page for viewing. I hope Brother releases an update to the software which works properly. Other than this problem, it is a good lower cost monochrome laser.

The first unit identified the wi fi immediately and following set up was a few steps. This unit simply refused to log on , the web site and accompanying instructions were of little help however customer support was excellent and basically advised step by step how to wipe the printer clean and re program it. Without their help it would have been back in the box for return. Having got it working it is an excellent printer producing clean monochrome prints although not as multi tasking-copy, fax, paper size etc.as other larger and far more expensive Brother units.

Glad I made the choice to go with Brothers Laser printer, with extra cartridge. Great price and works perfectly. Relatively easy setup. Highly recommend if you just need black and white.

I'd recommend this printer to anyone especially for personal use or small businesses. Love how compact it is and I find it to be very quiet. The only thing that I would suggest is if you are looking for a printer to perform Much heavier duties for the office, then I'd probably look for something a little bigger. I use this printer for my business related duties at work and needed one for my office and LOVE IT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great, when it works! If this you plan to use this printer on a circuit tied to a GFI breaker and test button, DON'T. It will trip the breaker on start up and shut down your home office! Brother is aware of the issue, google it, but does not forewarn purchasers of this defect. It took a couple of lengthy support chats to learn the hard way. Had an electrician change the breaker, and all is well. now.

This is not a big problem, but it does spit the print outs with such gusto that they end up on the floor. I'm very happy with my purchase.

However, when I installed the software so I could use it, it deleted my Control Center for my Brother All-in-One printer and I cannot get it to reinstall the Control Center software. Everything is Brother. I find this to be unacceptable.

As soon as I tried to set it up, I knew it was a mistake, but I didn't want to make him feel bad by asking him to return it. It is 9 months later, and the printer still never works. Despite many attempts, I have successfully printed about 20 sheets from the printer. Every time we attempt to print, the printer is not connected to the internet, or some other issue that I can't determine. The worst part is the interface is from 1985, so it is incredibly difficult to even figure out what the issue is. Now, I just want a working printer but I hate that we have wasted money on this printer. I can't even try to resell it, because I know it doesn't work. BTW, I am a computer engineer. This is not an issue of my knowledge.

However, in the case of this printer I'm willing to go a little nuts for it. It's compact, quiet, and fast; the print quality is excellent; the connection to Wi-Fi has been reliable; and yes, it hasn't died yet. I can recommend it without reservation.

The wireless features work like a charm with both my Apple products and my local in-home network. Easy to set up and the thing just prints like a BOSS! I replaced my seven year old Brother printer that died due to overuse. It served a proud lifetime of printing without ANY issues!!!

I have had a similar Brother Laser Printer for home use for over 3 years and have been very satisfied with the speed and quality of printing. I was especially pleased to see how easy it was to set up and have all of the computers on my network find it without a problem. My recent purchase for the business has been just as good as hoped and I am very pleased with all aspects of the printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT WIRELESS CONNECTION I bought this printer to replace my Brother HL-2270DW. I treated that printer a bit roughly and the auto feed doesn't work anymore although the manual feed still works. I chose this model because of its similarities to the 2270 model: monochrome laser printer and duplexing, but also because it claimed to be easy to use wirelessly. And it is!! It set up very quickly and I have connected it by wireless to a PC, a Macbook, an ipad, an iphone, and an android phone. The printer is 2 rooms away from the Macbook and the modem/router and the wireless connection works perfectly. I have been leaving the printer turned on 24/7 because it goes to sleep. You must install the brother iPrint and Scan app to use with tablets and phones and it has been very easy to use. I live in the Southwest and inkjet printer inks just dry up before they can be used up. I am low to moderate volume user and am very happy with the Brother laser printers. The laser toner cartridges last a very long time and I like that I can modify the dpi from 300 to 1200 which saves me money. And the printer price is also great! I ordered the printer directly from Brother and it arrived quickly and safely. Very happy I stayed with Brother.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Avoid this Printer Extremely unreliable and regret-worthy purchase. I, like most people living in this century are wireless centric. This printer's wireless reliability is abysmal at BEST. Seldom can I get back to back prints to happen without a wireless issue. Brother should be embarrased, I am ashamed of myself for buying such an unreliable printer. Positives... It's fast, just as any other laser printer would be. So it meets expectations in that regard which is about the only kudos I can attribute to this paper weight.
