Setup was incredibly easy - machine picked up both wired and wireless networks, I never had any problems accessing it from any mobile or desktop device in our household. Print quality is solid and print speed is impressive. No complaints :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far it meets all our needs for Linux & Windows! As a Linux (Ubuntu) user, this printer worked from the moment I plugged it in and added to the network. Not the case with our older HP. Could flip a coin if I needed to re-add/configure it at each use. Setting it up with a static IP on Wifi was simple to do on the device. Once connected, all other settings were managed via browser. While I cannot comment on the longevity of the device or toner, the printouts are outstanding. My wife, who is a teacher, uses it far more than I do and since installing it, not once have I had to touch a thing. I will admit, I chose Brother solely on the advice of other Linux users and so glad I did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value as a home office printer I bought this printer in 2016 as a laser printer replacement for my home office inkjet printer. With the exception of one feature (double sided printing), this printer has proven itself to be a real workhorse with quality output all the time. The quality of both mono and colour printing is excellent and its print speed is great. Printer cartridges, while quite expensive, seem to last for a good while. With regard to double-sided printing, at first it was flawless. However, around 6 months from purchase, the printer would jam every time I attempted to print on 2 sides. Frustrating, as it did save on paper consumption, but overall it's a small inconvenience for me. Were it not for this problem, I would give the product a 5 star rating as I haven't had a major issue in the 7 years I have owned the printer

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Printer with Speed and features I got this printer a few months ago for a pretty good deal somewhere else and it's been nothing but great so far. the wireless has been great so far and the printing results have been great as well. Now the only thing with it is that at first when you are trying to hook up the Wireless, it's a bit of a hassle, a REAL HASSLE ACTUALLY but when you finally get it going, it's good. I would recommend this printer to anyone interested in a Wireless Laser Printer.

It is used mostly for the color and duplex printing, but not as the main printer, s o usage is not as high as if it were the sole printer, but no doubt it would work well if it were.

I just unpacked and connected a new HL-L8360CDW and can not find the scanner. I sat thru 25 minutes to ask a Brother chat and found out this unit can NOT scan or copy. Without those functions, this printer is worthless to me. I did not realize anyone still manufactured printers that would not scan or copy. So, I have made a big mistake going to Brother.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really a great value for the money I just started a new 2 year IT degree. I needed an inexpensive high quality printer for classes. Getting a great printer for a reasonable price was the key. I was actually surprised to see how much this printer offers for the money. I have had the printer for 3 month and have run about 2000 sheets with full color text and images on about 25% of the output. so far the images have been quite good. Our second printer is a HP PageWide Pro 477 dn. Typically the injkets do a slightly better printout with color images, but the Brother Laser does a far better job on printed material. I think I made a good choice so far with this printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Useless for envelopes Fine for standard document printing, color capabilities are good and as long as you're feeding from the internal tray all is well. The manual feed tray is VERY low-capacity and jams frequently, making mail merge operations a bit dicey. The biggest issue I've had, though, is printing envelopes: the printer simply runs too hot to print more than a few envelopes at a time. More than that, and the heat as the envelopes pass over the drum gets high enough to pre-seal all of them. I've had to reprint far too many large-batch envelope merges split into tiny batches, after throwing away hundreds of gummed-shut envelopes. Overall, if you're mostly printing on standard letter size multipurpose paper (or even letterhead, for the most part), it's fine. But potential buyers in an office environment should be aware that this model is more or less completely useless for doing any in-house mail operations because of the envelope issue.

So far, it's always been available (no problem finding it on the network, the toner doesn't "expire", and the printer doesn't get clogged. There was a small color registration problem at first, but a quick calibration process fixed that, and everything just works now.

Sometimes I get an error message (oddly, it usually prints on the first try if I do get the error message. Attempted multiple times to get assistance from Brother only to be shunted to automated systems that had no clue what I was saying.

We have to physically go up to the printer, press the home button, and fool around with it until it will finally print. This is getting annoying, I would like a fix for this.

I have worked with your product support and they have help a great deal, but I know I will have to live with the poor quality with this printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Working great since Day 1 I only print occasionally, but wanted a Color Laser Printer to get away from my troublesome Color Inkjet past. This unit is rock solid - no issues. It's also quieter than my previous HP B&W Laserjet when it spins up to print. Another bonus I discovered is that this printer does not drive my dog crazy like the old one did. I believe my old printer emitted "tones" that were aggravating to a dog's hearing, but the dog doesn't even notice this printer when it runs.

I did have 2 Lexmarks but the last one the screen died and I could not get it serviced. This is my second Brother print. The first one is in my office in FL and this one is in my office in ME. Both of them are still working and were the easiest printer to set up on WIFI. since i use it for only printing office documents, the print quality is very good.

The first, a HL-3170CDW, lasted about 1.5 years, including, of course MANY toner changes, and all drum replacements, as well. I expected this printer to AT LEAST last as long as a good inkjet printer, at least a couple of years. But, alas, no. So, hopefully not foolishly, I upgraded to the next eschalon of Brother printers, and, so far, so good.

The only suggestion (thing I don't like is the necessity of opening the back panel and flipping the tabs down in order to print envelopes....not a major inconvenience, but awkward due to the placing of the printer on my desk.

You should just be able to open up the feed and put them through, but this one you open the back, put down the 2 pins on both sides, pull down the other side and only put 3 envelopes through. Doesn't tell you that in the guide. I had to google it and print out the envelope instructions.

Assembly: I was a bit surprised by the box size when new printer was delivered, concerned about the size of the printer and space needed to set up. After opening the box and unpacking, I found that the printer is very space-efficient. It takes the same amount of space as other non-business printers I have used. Complete set-up, from opening box to using took about 40 minutes. Two easy steps delayed set-up. The on-line registration kept telling us we were missing information and it took a while to figure out what that was. Secondly, we missed taking out one piece of shipping material that blocked us from inserting the drum unit. Use: The printer was immediately ready for use with no further instruction needed. The LCD screen shows exactly what is going on. I have not experienced any problems, but like the idea that things like paper jams will be shown right on the screen. Paper tray is extremely easy to refill, pull out drawer and add paper. Much easier to add paper than other copiers I have used. Impression: This is a high quality, easy to use printer. It produces professional copies with minimal effort. It looks clean and neat in my office space.

I lowered the amount of stars because USPS had it for over a week before they told me it was too heavy and large to be delievered. I could have bought this same product from a store and found my own way to get it home

It`s incredibly fast and remarkably quiet....something I can appreciate since my office is small and it sits NOT far from me. The print/images are sharp and clear, it can hold up to 1000 sheets of paper and the toner cartridges print up to 6500 pages before you run out. It comes with both the color and black and white cartridges already installed. I`m fairly sure that for me, 6500 pages is going to last a long, long time. The one drawback I find immediately out of the box is that it does NOT scan/copy. For me, I just really prefer to have a scanner/copier as well built into my printer. For me it would have had added value for it to be a multi-function printer....just my opinion. I love the pull out paper drawer.....the paper is kept clean and nice and flat. My old printer left the paper exposed, and after a while would have a curve to it from always sitting in the feeder tray. No dirt or particles on my paper or falling into my printer! AWESOME!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Printer I bought this printer back in November 2017 but wound up having surgery and didn’t get it going until two or three weeks ago. The video on removing the tape holding all of the parts in place for shipping was helpful. The installation CD was pretty worthless probably because I prefer to use Windows 7, but I just went to the Brothers site and downloaded the right drivers and I was in business. Once I had the desktop going and the printer on, the laptop connected wirelessly when I ran the driver. I’m happy with the speed of warmup and the pages print quickly. The print quality is excellent. Overall, it is a good price at a very fair price. I haven’t tried printing from my iPad or iPhone yet.

I attempted a few troubleshooting steps on my end before calling in. Once I called in, I walked my tech through all the troubleshooting I completed. Which resulted in absolutely no power to the unit and a replacement was issued. Took 4 business days for printer to arrive (a bit inconvenient but I managed), called back and we got everything set up within minutes.

But, then it started dropping parts of images and lines of text. After several calls to tech support, it became clear that there's a serious bug in the Mac printer drivers which renders the printer useless since you can't be sure when it will print the whole page and when it will leave gaps. So, I had to return it. Too bad. It had great potential.

Supplies and parts are still available. The Model 8360 color laser printer is right in line with the top level quality Brother has shown. I received this product as a result of participating in a market research study. It prints very quickly and the ink is very vivid. I struggled to print wirelessly with my old printer, but with this model it`s very simple. My favorite feature has to be how the ink is built in. I thoroughly enjoy not having to refill the ink, it saves time and money. The instructions were fairly easy to follow, and I was able to put it together in a relatively short amount of time. However, I had difficulty with the paper tray after I had assembled the printer and hurt my finger trying to pull the paper tray out. It`s very fast compared to other wireless printers. I`ve always found it difficult to get the printer to connect to a wireless device, but with this model connecting is very seamless and efficient. Overall it meets my quality expectations, but I am disappointed that it doesn`t have a copy feature. I feel for the price, you should definitely be able to copy as well. That`s an inconvenience that should definitely be addressed. The DVD also wasn`t a big help during set up because it wouldn`t load on my computer. Maybe my disc was defected, but I feel that`s something you shouldn`t have to worry about when purchasing a printer of this caliber.

The printer works wonderfully; it even handled without difficulty some sheets of membership cards on very heavy cardstock that had jammed in both of our other two printers. And it's very quiet! It sits right next to my desk, and I can be on the phone while it's printing and still hear everything clearly. I am very happy with this printer!

I found the wi-fi connection a vast improvement, because I had grown to accept but dislike the tangle of connections under and behind my desk, but also was enchanted by the brisk printing, the capacious storage for blank paper, and the excellent color vaues of this printer. I even prefer the curious sequence of (very quiet noises it makes as it prepares for and delivers its prints. I am, however, still confused by duplex printing, but no doubt I will sort it out if I spend enough time with the manual.

It wouldn't always print, even after rebooting, eventually it would. Decided it had to go. After internet serches, I decided this color printer would meet my needs. So far it has worked, & others even appreciate the color over the B&W. Costs more, but worth it. The only exception would be if all of your printing was B&W even in color, then a dedicated B&W would be in order. So far this printer has been flawless.

I have always appreciated Brother printers' performance and reliability. This new color printer is for my personal use in my home office. I am extremely happy with its performance so far. The printer was very easy to install on my home network. The only slight issue is that there is some paper curl when printing single sided output. Double sided print does not curl the paper. I have tried correcting this in the driver features without success. However, I consider this a minor issue. I am looking forward to several years of service with this printer.

Product: I received the Brother HL-L8360CDW Business Color Laser Jet Printer a few days ago and after much use, I have to say I am happy with the product. I haven`t had anything other than smooth printing experience. Features:I love the duplex capability and the wireless ability. Duplexing saves paper and space in files. The wireless ability is great with all the mobile devices that can connect and print easily! Install: Installing this product was pretty simple. I did it myself and within 10 minutes i was printing using wireless feature. No cords hooking up to computer! Very easy. There was alot of security devices and tape you had to make sure you removed before printing but understand their need. The directions are somewhat clear as to where these are located but kinda hard to see, so i just looked for all teh colored plastic stuff and tape... figured it out. Comparison: I have typically used HP products and this one is very similar in features and style to the one i am used to. This one was about $100 cheaper with same features. I`d say they are very comparable. So if cost is an issue this may be a better option. Quality: As of a solid week or so use, i would say the product meets my expectations. I am hopeful that it continues over the next couple years of use :-) Improvements: The only improvement i would like to see and it may have it and i just didn`t see, is an option to save ink. I don`t think Laser Jets have this ability but that woudl be great as ink cartriages are not the cheapest item. I just wish they were less expensive to purchase new ink cartriages. Not a fan of that but that is consistent in all brands. Overall Impression: This is an item i would recommend. I don`t see a reason why you would not consider this product as a possible new printer or replacement to your other brands/models.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice printer with one MAJOR FLAW I must admit that it is a very good printer. Fast, crisp clear print, great duplex ability, easy set up and use. HOWEVER.... it has one MAJOR FLAW. It can't be plugged into a UPS or Surge Protector power strip without an annoying 'alarm' being emitted. "Tech" support claimed that's a low voltage warning... oop's. UPS output as measured at the outlet the printer was plugged into was 119 volts AC. Can't claim that's low voltage. Had the same issue with a surge protector power strip. Now, the company's fix is to plug it directly into a wall outlet. Fine, but now it's not protected against power surges from lightning hits or anything else even from miles away. I'm still waiting for the notice from tech support indicating they're working on a firmware fix, or indicating that Brother will assume ALL responsibility for the equipment due to a power surge....... maybe I should not hold my breath?? My purchase recommendation for anyone is... Yes, with caveats.

I purchased the additional paper tray and have one loaded with high-quality 28lb paper and the larger tray loaded with 20lb paper for everyday printing. In addition, I use the high capacity cartridges and enjoy the extra capacity and gaps between replacing.

I have a small, home based business and require a colour printer for making labels, stickers and other printed accessories for my products. This printer meets all the functionality needs that I require. It is able to handle envelopes and paper with different thicknesses from printer paper to card stock. It is able to handle labels and stickers (matte to glossy finish) with ease - an issue my current printer has difficulty with, as I have to constantly remove paper jams. The ink is vibrant and true to colour. The printer is rather large but the fact that it is wifi enabled means I can tuck it away in the office and use from anywhere in my house. With that said, I have had an issue with printing occasionally. Sometimes it will skip a line of ink in the lower 1/3 of the paper or will stretch out the image over a line or two. I`m not sure what is causing this (machine and ink are brand new). I tried to text with the online chat help desk at brother.com on multiple occasions but agents are always busy and not available. I`ll try emailing next. Overall, I love this printer, it`s functionality, ease of use and vibrancy of my printed products. I`d give it a 5/5 for my needs but until I get this periodic printing issue resolved, a 3/5.

OVERALL IMPRESSIONS / SET-UP: Great printer - very easy setup! Instructions included for wireless or wired set-up. I used the wireless set-up, and everyone in my area was easily able to find and print to the device from their laptop or desktop. Personal devices (iPhones and iPads in our case) also printed easily. PRINT QUALITY / FUNCTIONALITY: Clarity of documents are great. I`ve printed over 100 pages so far (90% in color), and it says that there is a significant amount of toner still remaining. That is a great sign, given that the initial supplies are usually smaller than the full size you buy as replacement cartridges. I do a lot of duplex printing, and this also works flawlessly. SIZE: Printer itself takes up a reasonable amount of space. We have one slightly smaller printer from HP, but it has a very small paper tray and is always running out of paper... a pain! Would sacrifice a bit of space for larger printing capacity. OTHER: My network had a hard time "seeing" the printer when I first set it up, but with the TCP/IP lookup, I was easily able to tell it where to "look." The touchpad screen is easy to use - very intuitive / no need to read the directions to figure out what you want to accomplish and execute! OVERALL: The Would definitely recommend this printer to anyone in the market for: Home or Small Office, Hiqh quality printer!

It prints quickly and reliably, produces high quality color prints, and best of all, it is super easy to connect to and start printing. I connected the printer to my office wifi and tried printing using several methods: -Windows 10 laptop: The printer was easily found as a network printer. Drivers installed automatically. -Google Chromebook: I had to add the printer as a "cloud printer" in my Google account, but after that printing worked fine. -Android device: Installed the Brother iPrint&Scan app and when connected to local wifi, could easily print pictures, documents and websites right off my phone. -Dropbox and Google Drive: Connected my accounts to the print services on the printer and could print documents directly from my accounts. Potential Cons: Replacement ink is REALLY expensive, with a replacement set costing half what the printer cost. Hopefully off-brand inks work fine.

It works great—fast, high quality printing, simple to setup, and easy to "air print" from our phones, iMacs, and laptop—but even beyond that, I'm thrilled with Brother for their exceptional customer service. When I used the wrong paper and damaged the fuser, they replaced the under-warranty printer at no cost to me. It was an easy process, and the result is a very happy customer. Because of that, I added a Brother Inkjet printer for my wife for general home use and photo printing, and it works great, too. Granted, exceptional customer service isn't always something that compels you to buy a product—but it's a huge difference maker if you ever actually have a problem.

It prints beautifully. The colors are very vibrant and they don`t smear when you touch them immediately after printing. It prints very quietly not loud which I like. Don`t want everyone knowing I`m printing all the time. It prints out quickly after warming up. My favorite feature of the printer is the touch pad. The way you can leave it lay or position it up. Very versatile. The paper tray, it holds more paper than others I have had. Also, when you add more paper it doesn`t seem to jam up as of yet. I didn`t over fill, just filled the paper completely up. The color of the pictures I was able to print. The details of the pictures printed were very clear and concise. The product instructions are very clear and easy to read and assemble. Although there wasn`t much assembly. Which made it very nice to set up and use. The booklet helped if I had any questions or concerns. I like having the book to refer to. The product compares in a much better way than what I have used. My previous printers haven`t had the ease of set up that this one has. This you just pretty much took out of the box. Other`s you have had to add things on. You had to run a lot of test pages to get what you want. With this I just opened it plugged it in, turned it on, downloaded the software and found a picture to print. The printed images are amazing the clarification, and detail you can see. I`ve no other printed that has that great of detail. This product meets and exceeds my expectations. I can`t get enough of printing and printing in color with this printer. Before, I didn`t print much color at home always went somewhere else if I needed to print in color. This saves me time and money by being able to do it from home. They only thing I would improve upon is how quickly it goes to sleep. Being able to print more quickly would be great. I sometimes need a few minutes in between prints and it seems a little slow getting started again. It`s not enough to give it a bad review just worth a mention. Also, the price of the refills could be a little more reasonable or maybe come in a more affordable package deal. It seems like a lot of money to pay and not enough prints. Overall I`m very impressed with this printer. The ease of use, the quality of the prints. The set up was very easy, downloading the software was also. Carrying it and taking it out of the box required two people. Definitely not a one person job. The size is okay a little big for my area, however, I like it a lot so not a big deal for me. This is a great product and I would buy again and recommend it to anyone looking for a color printer. The only downfall would be the price of the cartridge refills. If your able to get a lot of color prints from them then it`s a good deal.

The straight thru paper path and the multi purpose tray make it a label makers dream. I use standard matte, glossy and polyester labels. My labels have verbage, graphics and photos in any combination and they come out clear and vibrant. I would rate it Excellent for labels and Good for Photo Quality. In this price range I have not found a color laser printer that can compare.

We bought this one (color) to replace our old black & white Brother [because we were more than satisfied with it]. We have a "Mac" computer and had trouble setting it up. We contacted Brother customer service and they worked with us for about an hour and finally got us going. We use this for home use. Our only disappointment with this one is it doesn't have a copy option; which we thought it had when we ordered it.

Especially when i am not at home. So one of the most important features i look for is easy of use. Let me start by saying: I would absolutely recommend this printer. My favorite feature is that it seems to respond well even when it is in "sleep" mode. This seems to be a common complaint for wireless printers. Our old printer requires us to "wake" it, shut it off, turn it on, and then press print quickly before it "sleeps" again. This printer responded much better AND we can print from our phones--printing email attachments is extremely easy and very handy. And by "responded better" I mean I have not had to wake it or do anything at all beyond press print! On receiving the printer our first impression was: This printer is the most well packaged printer I have ever unwrapped. Our second impression was: Setting up the printer was EASY and EXTREMELY fast. The printer warmed up quickly and I did not even need to check the directions to understand how to wirelessly connect the printer to our network. I did, however, still read the directions and they were clear and concise. As for the quality of the printing, I have no complaints and I do not know what else I would want it to do. The printing is quick and the double sided printing function works well. This printer absolutely meets my expectations and exceeds them. At this time I cannot think of anything I would like to see improved (and we`ve printed a lot in the past few weeks while testing this out. Honestly, the biggest thing is not having to get up and wake the printer. That was our biggest gripe about the former printer.

Unpacking and assembly of the printer was simple but thorough instructions were provided if needed. Downloading the software was quick and easy. Print options are amazing and cover all needs. It has the option to print double sided which is awesome too. My favorite thing about this printer is I can print right from my iPhone with no APP needed, simply use airdrop. This printer is way more than I have a need for and is out of my price range. Even if it was in my price range, replacement toner cartridge prices are ridiculous (even though I`m not sure the average number of prints you can get from each toner cartridge, I`m sure it`s quite a lot though).

There are two things I would improve. 1 its a bit noisy, quieter would be nice, but not essential and 2) I know this is not a printer meant for photographs. I know that. But it would be lovely if I could print color photos a bit nicer than what this produces. Don't count on it for photo printing. It does print lovely colored graphs and text.

Some instructions for placement of the various components was a little sparse, but eventually the machine c/o was accomplished. Now the bad was trying to utilize this via WiFi, well I never did get it to lock on the network and stay there. Well fortunately for me, I had Ethernet available and all was well with the printer, I believe this printer is too be used on Ethernet only. Since getting it on the. Ethernet no issue with remote printing, or AirPrint with various IOS devices. It is a little more then needed but I had. It with ink jet printing. Now I only print a few copies a day, but sometimes manuals are printed and then it shines.

Pros: -- Excellent print quality -- Easier to use than the Lexmark that this unit replaced -- Quiet -- Zero paper jams -- Easy to select 2 sided printing Cons: -- Not as easy to use to print letterhead and labels as the Brother B/W laser printer that I had before History: I am a fairly heavy printer user. I had a workhorse Brother B/W laser printer that lasted three years before the repair costs exceeded the costs of buying a new printer. I replaced that Brother printer with a Lexmark. Its controls were counterintuitive, and I could not consistently figure out how to print single/double sided. Printing letterhead or labels involved multiple changes to the printer's settings. Fortunately for me, it broke after less than a year. I did my online research and bought this printer. I'm happy so far and believe that I will get 3 years out of this unit.

Everytime after it wouldn't recognize the printer and I had to delete and reload the software to use. I went down and purchased a cheap printer to use. I hope have this expensive one new Thursday doesn't work. Smh

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great image, terrible on Toner I should begin by saying that I am a fan of Brother printers, and have been using them for over 10 years. I've never been disappointed in the quality of the purchase I've made. We purchased this printer to do color printing for a small business. The images look great - on par with what I would often pay for at a professional printing company. Unfortunately the printer uses a massive amount of toner!!! We printed less than 250 color pages before we ran out of toner. Further, the cost of genuine toner is absurdly high (and off-brand is often incompatible). So, while this printer does a great job, it's convenience and value are completely lost in it's cost of use. Even in using toner-save mode, the printer used an extraordinary amount and at a sacrifice of quality. In the end, we've had to continue to use a professional printing service for even the smallest jobs. To make matters worse, the printer will not let you print in black and white if you are out of color toner. So if we run out of yellow, our entire operation has to shut down until we can replace it. In the end, it is a great printer, but it's limitations defeat the purpose of buying it. I'm a fan of brother printers, and this isn't my first laser printer from them. Unfortunately, this printer has not offered us the value that we have come to expect from the company. Until Brother finds a way to update these settings, we cannot recommend the product. (but hey, if they can fix it, it's a great choice otherwise)

Using vibrant high quality paper can hide it’s deficiencies. Keeping in mind laser printers are not known for the highest quality photo-color printing due to their lack of colors. Would by again: absolutely.

For 25+ years I've had a near press-quality printer with tabloid and 2-sided capability that was superb for the color rendition I needed, so I am a little spoiled. Even in retirement, I wanted to have good color and resolution, just in case; I could live without tabloid size because the mockups I loved creating are a thing of the past.... I researched options again and again for months and finally decided on this printer, which is incredibly less expensive than what I was using, and also very nicely smaller. Even for a technophobe like me, set up was easy and wifi worked as promised - no problems at all like those some other reviewers have related. The only negative I see is the cost of the toner (one replacement set is roughly the cost of the printer!, but so far I'm still on the original cartridges so I don't really know how that will play out. I do have some issues with 2-sided printing and have contacted customer support about this, but I think it is due to the old OS and software I'm using. (I haven't upgraded so that I can still amend old files my clients might request.) When I print from current online sources, the 2-sided feature works fine. Lastly, this printer is SO QUIET. I love that. I leave it on all the time so that others in the house can print from their devices. Even when it cranks up to print, it's quiet.

Its wireless and color is beautiful. But it is not a multi-function scanner, fax and printer and it has large footprint and is heavy! Takes a few too many seconds if asleep to wake up but it is pretty bullet proof! I’s buy it again if I needed to.

There were a few struggles during the set up process but the support team did a great job of getting me up and running. The quality of the color printing is stunning. I printed a document from this printer and from my old printer and compared them. There was no comparison at all. I highly recommend this printer to anyone that wants to produce quality documentation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Main Printer This printer works as advertised. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a laser printer to be their primary printer for everyday needs. We've had it for less than a month but all signs indicate . that it will be a reliable, user friendly printer. I would caution anyone buying a Brother printer to be sure they are technically capable to handle any instellation problems. I had great difficulty getting one of my computers to recognize the printer. I contacted Apple via phone and went through all their trouble shooting processes and they could not resolve the issue. Their response was that there must be a problem with the printer even though I had another Apple computer connect via WiFi. I tried for several days to get in touch with a live body at Brother but was unable, there was no chat line and I unable to reach anyone live. Fortunately, after spend a lot of time going through their on line documentation I discovered an alternative meathod to get my computer to recognize the printer.

The colors are crisp and the speed is outstanding. While I didn't buy it for its beauty, it is a nice addition to the office.

This is a big shortcoming, which means I had to buy a hand-held scanner to compensate. Yes, it's possible to take a photo with my phone, but not nearly as clean as a scan, or ready for editing. I'm a teacher who scans frequently--I'm sure a built-in scanner would not have been cost prohibitive with this printer. The pluses are this print does 2 sided color copying really fast and the ink is dry immediately. Super quiet too.

This printer has great print quality, the problem is I always have to shut it down and then turn it back on EVERY time I need to print something. I contacted customer service, who said it was my router. All of that equipment has been checked and restarted, but the problem remains. I am not happy at all with this printer!

All pages have a "bend:" that is a bit annoying and makes it more diffiicult to bind them to gether in presentations.

I have spent hours trying to get the envelope print feature to work right. It still doesn't work right after updated drivers, etc. It is actually faster for me to hand write an envelope than to try to do a print. That, alone, makes this printer less than desirable in my book. All other print features seem to work fine.

Storage: I participated in a market research study for the Brother Business Color Laser Printer with Duplex Printing and Wireless Networking. I have been looking for a better printer for my business to replace the one I have been currently using. I wanted a printer that was efficient and able to handle my business needs while still not taking up too much space. This printer fits into the decor of my office and fits nicely on my desk without taking up too much space. I am happy with the size of the printer and the space it takes up. Assembly: The instructions were clear and the printer was very easy to assemble. I almost forgot to take the tape off of the toner but through the networking there is notification when you miss a step. It is easy to go back to the previous screen and correct what was missing after the tape and any other packing material has been corrected. The set up doesn`t take much time and is not hard to do. Stability: The printer is very stable. There is no fear of the printer falling over or becoming damaged. It is a very sturdy design and I like how easy it is to open and close the tray for the paper and for the toner. That is something that I have found not all printers have. It also stays put and does not move when you are using it. This is very important because when there are many tasks to do, you do not want to have to stop to secure the printer or check the drawer. Performance: I am very happy with this printers performance. The amount of time between sending a job to the printer and output is minimal. I hate having to wait for something to print and this printer reduces that time because of the speed of processing. The colors are bright and look nice and the black and grey is nice and bold. I have not seen any fading even after many uses. I really like that this printer has a duplex feature. The only down side that I see is that it would be nice if other features were offered. For example, I would like a scanning capability. To scan and email a document would be helpful even if it resulted in a higher price point. Another valuable feature would be to offer a faxing cabability. The price of this printer is high considering that it does not offer any special features other than the duplex printing. However, it is a very efficient printer and prints very well.

The dithering pattern used to create gray text makes the edges of the characters fuzzy. Gray text does not look sharp. Other brands of printers do a much better job with gray text. Duplexing is an issue for me also. Duplex printing slows the printer down significantly; fewer pages per minute.

This is a quite large printer and it is as heavy as it is big. It is office quality but small enough you could easily use in a home office as well. The ease of setting it up is so fast, you`ll be ready to print in no time and you won`t spend a lot of time pouring over instructions, it`s that simple. What I love is the professional quality pages that pop out at record breaking speed for a printer this size and price. The pages were bright, with no skipped print areas. It was also quiet while printing. What I don`t love is that it doesn`t have a fax component to the machine. If it had that it would be the ultimate printer. If you want a hard working, professional grade printer, this is all that and more with the quiet, fast output.

Setting this unit up was easy on my home network. Printing from local system was breeze, I installed the app on my phone now I can check the printer status as well as printing directly from phone. I even tried the duplex printing and envelope. Printing a picture on normal paper came out so good that someone thought to use it a normal photo picture. I think I am beginning to like that printer a lot.

We decided on this model due to great Reviews and a great Black Friday sale. Needless to say, printer has out performed my expectations. Lines are very crisp, colors are very clean and bright and they are exactly the color I expected them to be. Overall printer is big,and toner is a bit on the pricey side. But nothing that would stop me from buying a great quality printer. We are moving offices here soon and we are going to pick up two more of these. Great product.

I had to purchase a new computer to use this printer. I needed one and this gave me the reason... So I finally got the printer, got it set up and then set up the printer. It all was much easier than I made it...once I got it all done, it was pretty easy. Printing from my phone was so easy. Nothing to attach, nothing to download on the computer. Just choose the picture, lay your phone on the printer, and viola here`s your picture. I did my oldest granddaughters first homecoming. It was awesome. I printed some basic documents, a fax cover page (because you can fax from your phone, too), a calendar with my teacher assignments, a one month curriculum for one of my classrooms. Everything printed great. The pictures were vibrant and precise. I had an old laser printer, but this is so easy and convenient. The one thing that struck me as interesting??? was the weight of this printer. It is much heaver than any of the last 3 or 4 printers. Most of my printers have been Dell, with a few HPs thrown in. Overall I think on a scale of 1 - 10 it would be a very high 9. Only because of the weight. I`m old and small...moving heavy stuff usually means getting one of my grandsons over. They are all teenagers or older. They think they have better things to do...

No changing of the multiple cartridges. I am a small business. Purchased additional trays for printing checks, stationery and plain paper without needing to remove each time needing to use. It's a pleasure. Printing is sharp. I called customer service one time when setting up with a question and spoke to an English speaking person who responded with an answer. Expect to have many years of trouble free usage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Printer Hobbled by Poor Wireless This is a great little printer that I would give a 5 star review to if it did not dedicated 2G network for connectivity. That alone with so many wireless routers using a single SSID for both 2G and 5G wireless networks. Even when I created a dedicated 2G network I found the wireless connectivity sporadic so I dropped it and now have a wired connection running across the floor of my office. Other than that, the duplex feature works great and is reliable. There is an accessory paper bin that accepts a full ream of paper and is reliable. The ability to easily change out toner as it runs out is very straightforward. And best of all is the print quality is very good ... particularly considering the price of the printer. But that seems to be the current trend is to keep prices for the equipment low and then make the profit on the consumables. I would very much recommend ... but there is definitely room for improvement.

Color is good. It's not a speed demon parsing information, but the output is good and quick once it gets going. I am not fond of having to open the front and the back to print envelopes, but it's the best I've seen when it comes to printing #!0 envelopes jam-free. Economical on toners. The price was so low that I was positive it wouldn't come with toner cartridges, but it did! Great value for a home or small office printer. FYI I was raised in my family's 3rd gen printing company. I know printers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick printing, but paper handling not great I've been using this printer for 7 months, so I've had time to try different things. == I would recommend this for office use == I can send print jobs over wiFi easily and without issues, the printer provides good print options (paper sizes, binding, layout, etc.), and printing on plain copier paper is very fast I think this printer is a good choice for basic office use. It prints standard paper very fast, and it has no trouble with network connections. If that's all you're looking for, then this printer delivers. == I would not recommend this for creative projects == Paper handling is only reliable for 8.5" x 11" copier paper. Legal size paper gets bent in one corner as it rolls out of Tray 1. Glossy paper gets hot and jams. Double sided printing does not work with 4" x 6" paper, and if you try to run the pages back through manually, they jam. Card stock gets curled as it passes through the machine... I wouldn't recommend this printer for creative projects. Because its paper handling is pretty limited, it's not a good choice for cards, posters, glossy labels, etc. Since I personally do a lot of this sort of thing, I wish I had kept shopping and bought a different printer. Hope that helps!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never Again This is our second Brother printer that has caused us nothing but problems and lost time. It will not connect to the network through a wired connection. It WILL connect through WiFi, but doesn't wake when you want to print. Sometimes, if you remember to wake it manually first, it works. Sometimes even that doesn't work. One of our staff sent something to the printer and it showed up 12 hours later. So it eventually did wake, but on its own terms I guess. Our B&W printer is from another manufacturer and has absolutely no problems. This thing has cost us more in down time than it's worth. We'll just cut our losses and replace it with another brand, as we did with our B&W (since our first Brother B&W had print quality problems that could not be solved through support). Print quality of this printer IS very good, but network connectivity is just horrible. If you are connecting direct, then it's fine. If it's for a small business, look elsewhere.

Even though they say that delivery few days, it actually happens the next day(at least in Toronto). Really happy with the printer and support. It has many enterprise feature like secure print(Mac & Windows), etc. bit of overkill if you want to use it for home but it should last many years. Overall very happy with the purchase.

The interface is a bit clunky, but totally usable, and the utilities software for scanning/fax/etc. is pretty clunky also. Ultimately, I think it is junk because I managed to get 3000 pages out of it with a toner replacement, before quality began to go south. The machine was printing images that progressively got more faded. I was recommended to replace the toner again (not cheap by customer support in spite of the fact that it makes little sense that the first image would be good then subsequent images wouldn't be. So I spent the money on new toner, and experienced the same issue. After walking through this with customer support again, they told me they are unable to assist any further and that I should drive my printer to the nearest service center, which is 2.25 hours one way. The drums show to be ~90% and the toner is all new. I called the nearest service center and asking what the most common 3 problems each individually cost to fix, it turns out I would spend 70-90% of what a brand new printer costs (assuming it's one of those three). Thank goodness I just spent hundreds of dollars on toner for a machine that is not working.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A gem of a printer I chose the HL-L8360CDW to replace a competitor color laser printer that was old and difficult to maintain. I like laser printers in general over inkjet printers because of their robustness over inkjets. And when I compared the price of the Brother 8360 against other leading inkjet printers or laser printers, the Brother printer came out on top by a lot. The 8360 come complete with excellent documentation and it was easy to install. The network install was quick and easy, too. It prints documents exceptionally well and prints them quickly. The 2-sided print option is also a benefit. The Brother 8360 far exceeds expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Until it wasn't The printer worked great. Until it didn't. We have a low volume of usage and the printer has never moved from the day it was placed into service. After we finally needed to replace the color toner is where the problems started. We are getting an error that the yellow toner is not there. After over 3 Months (Sent us a new yellow toner and had us power on and off..... of working with support we have been told sorry your out of warranty and we are not going to fix your issue. Not a good printer if it quits working after the first toner change. Not a Brother Fan any longer and going back to HP who has at least helped the few times we have had issues in the past. Frustrating.

This printer is easy to use and the print quantity is solid. I use it for my graduate classes and it is a must have. I don’t like reading papers all day on my pc. So I print most of what I study.

If you use the alternate load input it will always take that product first and you can't specify which paper source to use. I use the "manual" feed on the side for labels and have to manually load the label material before hitting print. Otherwise, great printer.

We have 7 computers that need access to it, but instead of being able to print wirelessly, we all have to go to the machine and plug in. That became old the first day.. ALL updates have been uploaded to the system, but it simply cannot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Printer does not print 6 3/4" envelope properly. Custom paper size of 3 5/8" by 6 1/2" (6 3/4" envelope) does not work. You can enter the envelope size into both a document (in your word processor) and the printer properties (on the print menu). The word processor shows the envelope image centered left-to-right. However, when you issue the print command the print preview shows the envelope info left-justified. The printer manual tray document guides force the envelope to physically center in the tray, so the printed image is lost over the left margin. If you return the document guides to fit standard 8 1/2 x 11 paper and insert the envelope against the left-hand guide, the printer announces a paper jam and doesn't print anything. Printer is very slow to wake up after it enters power-save mode. Prices for replacement toner are VERY high. Start rating for this review apparently does not work. I wanted to rate it four stars, but it does not seem to accept any rating less than five stars.

Paper stacking an issue with high quality/high weight paper (24 lb and up); tends to push and mis-order after 30-35 sheets. Biggest disappointment is color; important for office work Not on par with my old HP LaserJet CP1525NW. Latter is an ink-hog, but output FAR outperforms new Brother, even when latter at max resolution.

I had to go with a wired network setup so I can only use it with two computers and no mobile devices. The 15 year old color laser this replaced was many times better at printing color images.

Quality is always BEYOND EXPECTATIONS. Not a single one of our 7 Brother printers -- and they run the gamut from inexpensive to top of the line -- has failed us for any reason through these past many years. Expendables are reasonably priced, readily available and shipped quickly; moreover, and unlike competitors, generic inks are both compatible and available when immediate needs must be met. Because our MANY Brother products are superbly designed, we have Never had the need to contact customer support. So, while I cannot speak to support, I can attest to the fantastic quality not just of our printers, but also our sewing machines, sergers, and other Brand items in our household and business operations. In a word for Brother Products "OUTSTANDING!"

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Printer So far this seems to be a very good color laser printer. It takes a while to find and get the options set correctly, but after the initial setup it works well. I am only giving it a 4 because sometimes it will not pull paper from either tray, I have to go to the printer and click "retry" and this is a brand new printer so this should not be an issue. Also, sometimes (not always) the print jobs print very slowly, but other times they go quickly so I don't know what is going on there. But other than that, it has worked well. I've had no problems printing envelopes which several people have complained about in the reviews. Envelopes work well from the front manual tray without issue. I purchased the optional additional tray and I put checks in the built in tray and paper in the bottom tray and have a different print driver for each tray. That works well with my accounting software so I am loving not having to swap out paper and checks all the time! To be determined how economical the color printing is, we have not printed any big print jobs in color yet to see the usage.

The only problem which I found difficult to manage is printing photo's from Photoshop and giving it the right colours. What I would prefer is a larger tray, let's say 500 sheets. If I would buy this printer again, I would go for a printer like this with a document feeder. After all I made 30000 copies and still going strong. Love it.

This one has colors where there should be colors and space where there should be space. The colors are bright and solid. Great printer! The printer is a color laser printer so you will not have to worry about ink drying up in the lines like a inkjet printer. The toner is a little expensive, but typical for the improvement in printer quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very unhappy I would give this zero stars if possible. The printer worked fine out of the box. I bought a laser so that toner replacement would be a no-brainer. But ... I replaced an empty toner cartridge with a new one right out of the Brother box. Followed the instructions. Repeated the procedure a few times. Spent time with chat-support and phone support. Bottom line is that all they can do is to replace the cartridge under warranty. Wait! I bought mine to have it on my shelf when it would be needed. Hence, it is not under warranty which is 90 days. All they could offer is that I gamble $100 with the possibility that the problem is a defective cartridge. Bottom line: poor policy AND do not buy printer cartridges in advance. And, expect crappy support (no reset, nor bypass to their buy-Brother hardware) that makes it hard to keep a printer running.
