Rated 5 out of 5 byKennyD from Great Camcorder except for touch screen reflectionI bought the VIXIA HF R82 two weeks ago and love its video quality and ease of use. I am totally disappointed by the reflection off the touch screen when trying to video my grandchildrens' soccer games in moderate to bright sunlight. Under those lighting conditions, the touch screen acted as a mirror and all I could see was me and background behind me, regardless of screen position, and even trying to shade it with my hat. I had no clue what I was getting for video and while shooting outside, I got little that was usable. Under low ambient lighting conditions it was wonderful. If there is something that I could put on the touch to eliminate the glare, then my rating would be a 5.

Rated 5 out of 5 bypapa goose from THIS CAMERA IS :OEnough options to film my kids friends in the park with ease. So nimble I can get out there myself and hang with them while I record. Would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone trying to film kids or make a home movie ;0

Rated 5 out of 5 byRed from OKI bought a VIXIA HF R82 camera a month ago and not happy with the editing features that are built into the camera. Takes to long to use it, it is to slow am I doing something wrong or do you have better software or do you know of a better software a person can use with it on their computer. I'm thinking seriously about taking it back to Best Buy and getting a Sony camcorder who has a really good editing program.

Rated 5 out of 5 byJedd from Very easy to use camcorder with great featuresFirst time Canon customer here. I found this camcorder to be very user-friendly and packed with features. The quality of the video that this camera produces is excellent. Having a mic input is a big bonus! The advanced zoom is very impressive and can reveal the craters on the moon even while recording in hand thanks to its image stabilization. I love the mp4 file format and the fact that I can plug it into my PC and just drag and drop the files for editing and/or uploading. Well done, Canon!
