The Cisco Digital Media Manager is a web-based media management application that helps you easily manage, schedule, and publish digital media to displays and through the web to the desktop. The simplicity of the Cisco Digital Media Manager allows nontechnical departments to reach their audiences without relying on network or IT groups for support, thereby accelerating the delivery of information while at the same time decreasing overall cost of distributing communications and relieving the burden on IT.
The Cisco Live Event Module of the Cisco Digital Media Manager allows live event Webcast producers to synchronize graphics with live audio and video streams for delivery through the Cisco Video Portal. During a live event Webcast, Cisco Video Portal viewers can watch and listen to the live audio and video stream while seeing the same slide presentation that an in-person audience might see.
The Cisco Live Event Module also gives Cisco Video Portal viewers the ability to submit text-based questions during a live event to producers and presenters. At any time during the live event Webcast, viewers can submit text-based questions to the producer and presenter; the questions can then be answered either during the Webcast or after the event through other online methods such as a postevent website. The Cisco Live Event Module gives remote viewers an experience that more closely matches those of participants attending the presentation in person.
