Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would not recomend this productI've had the unit for three weeks now and to say that I'm not impressed in an understatement. I've had to reboot the unit numerous times because throughput through the router keeps slowing down until it no longer passes traffic.I tried upgrading to the 1.1.1.06 firmware that was released today in hopes that the issues would be solved but the router never came back up after the firmware upgrade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent ValueI had just tried a Cisco RV 042G and was unable to get the auto fail over to work correctly, after spending a number of hours with Cisco support I decided to give the RV320 a try. After the initial setup I found the auto fail over work perfectly, the backup kicks in in under 3 sec after the primary fails, the throughput is excellent and the unit is stable.Good unit for the price.M

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stops working after a few weeks...NOT recommended! This router/firewall is a piece of junk. If I could select no stars, I would! It stops working after 2 to 4 weeks. It is no longer accessible by pinging its IP address or via browser portal. If I power cycle it, I can ping the IP address for about 5 seconds, but then get no reply. I had the router replaced twice (I purchased the Cisco Small Business Pro Service 3 year service agreement). But the router Cisco sent me only worked for about 3 weeks. When I call Cisco tech support, they tell me to do factory reset. But then sometimes the router works, sometimes it doesn't. Also, attempting to upgrade the firmware usually does not work (get a TFTP error). Then after I load my config back, it will work for a few weeks and then stop working again. The router is plugged into a new surge protected strip (with other hardware plugged into other outlets), and then plugged into a APC UPS. The other servers and devices have had no issues for about 2 years.. So there is no electrical issues causing this. It's just Cisco going cheap on Small Business line routers. I am currently trying to return it to CDW and get a refund!By the way, I started with the Cisco RV042 (from a different vendor). That one gave me the same exact issues. I had it replaced 3 times before I returned it! I thought the 320 would actually work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A SMB router that was long overdueThe Cisco Small Business line has been lacking for some time in regards to their VPN routers. The RV320 finally made up for that with VPN throughput on par with Cisco's ASA 5505. As a matter of fact, with GigE on the RV320, the interfaces are actually faster than the ASA 5505, which are only 10/100.I've had this thing running for a while now with no problems. Although I haven't specifically had the issue myself, some people have reported throughput issues with the out of the box firmware. This can be resolved by upgrading the firmware to the latest version. It's best doing this before configuring anything else on the router. If you've already configured it, you will need to restore to defaults and reconfigure after updating the firmware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty good productGreat router! We use these at all of our remote offices. The only problem we have had is about every 4 months they stop passing traffic and need to be power-cycled. Some network environments will have a big problem with this, but for us it's something we can deal with.Great features for the money.
