A dual inline memory module (DIMM) consists of a number of memory components (usually black) that are attached to a printed circuit board (usually green). Item did NOT work in Asterope motherboards.
This memory did NOT work in any of our Asterope motherboards. Crucial on-site info is NOT correct. Caused continuing memory errors and ended up trashing parts of our Win-7 OS. Fortunately we had backups. Got correct RAM for a better vendor.

New life for an old machine
I dropped this kit into an aging PC that had grown unusably slow. The machine shipped with 1GB of RAM and Windows Vista, but had been upgraded to Windows 10 and then on to the infamous Fall Creators Update and beyond. It simply couldn't keep up with the requirements of the OS any longer. Crucial correctly identified this pair of UDIMMs as a compatible replacement for my specific PC model, filled and shipped the order quickly, and my old machine now has a new life.

Application: HP Pavilion a1730n, AMD Dual Core 4600+ Processor, Windows Vista Snapped into place and was immediately recognized. High load performace has a marked improvement. PC seems to boot faster.
