The material used is soft cloth like and it attracts lots of dust, it does not have compartments for holding the pen, power cables and corner tag etc. Nutty design. How should one carry it, with both hands or under one hand, so people can drop and dell sell more.

The sleeve is nice, soft, and seems well made, but my issue is the sleeve is a bit big for a 15” laptop. My 15” fits, but very roomy on the end. Then again, I prefer things to have a nice snug fit.

Right after unpacking it the first thing you'll notice is the strong chemical smell that it gives off. Had to leave it off-gassing outside for about week before the noxious smell dropped to a tolerable level. Fits my Dell Inspiron 3505 well.

I got the new inspiron and this case was suggested to go with the laptop at check-out. The laptop doesn't have the same width as the sleeve, so it kind of floats in it. If you're going to suggest a sleeve, please at least suggest one that fits the laptop.

Perfect protection for my Dell inspiron 5500
It's just perfect fory dell inspiron 5510.
It has enough padding to protect laptop from scratches. I keep my laptop inside the sleeve and then in my bag pack for extra safety. This the corners of the laptop are protected from damages incase my bag pack drops or bumps into an object.

The computer largely gets the job done, but there are features that I wish I would’ve paid more attention to so as to choose something different. The variety of USB ports is lacking so I have to use converters for some media input. The silver keys are nearly impossible to read so I largely have to rely on touch type or tilting the screen to change the lighting that hits the keyboard so that I can see what letters are written on the silver keys. Lastly, the computer is listed with a range of processing speeds, but you are not given an option of which to choose during the buying process. Not surprisingly, you get the lowest available. That is deceiving marketing in my opinion.

This sleeve is over priced for the level of protection it offers. It took 7-8 weeks to arrive, and other than looking the part it is pretty much ineffective as a protective sleeve, as the micro thin material won't absorb any real impact.

Nice cover, fits my Inspiron 15 2-in-1 perfectly, 15.6" screen. Wish it had some sort of carrying handle, but not necessary. Neoprene type material, provides nice cushioning.

Very useful and good value for money. Seems to protect the laptop very well and also has room for a CD/DVD drive, mouse and mat, and a note pad and pens! Just need to be careful when picking it up as there's no handle.

Dell Essential Sleeve 15
Rather flimsier than the one (not foam-backed I had previously - the sides are pretty thin, and protrusions on the bottom of the laptop are making indentations in the foam, which isn't backed on the inside. I've left the foam filler (also fairly flimsy) in the bag to provide extra protection. Add to that the fact that my laptop isn't the full size of the bag, and I can foresee problems with the foam at the "empty" ends getting rather battered sooner or later.

You get what you pay for. Not bad, but not great either. It fits the laptop (Inspiron 15, 5510 perfectly, but no pocket for your power supply. Material is pretty thin as well. If you want better, spend more money. This was purchased along with said laptop for a customer.

It’s a great computer and works well. The only con so far is that the keys are silver like the rest of the computer which makes it difficult to see the letters/numbers unless you’re sitting straight on a chair or standing over the laptop. Because of this using the laptop on your lap is impossible.

I ordered this sleeve along with my Dell XPS 15 laptop order. It is nice, but it fits a bit loose. Years ago with my previous Dell XPS laptop (a 13 laptop, I ordered a leather sleeve which was a perfect fit. I had hoped that this non-leather sleeve would work the same way, but not to much. This sleeve might also work for laptops that are a bit larger and/or thicker than an XPS15 inch.

Standard neoprene protective pouch with a zipper design. I had an existing neoprene pouch with an overlapping flap design and to be honest I still don't know which one I prefer. No zippers to scratch anything was a nice feature that I gave up in this design, but you can also charge your laptop while it's nearly all zipped up and protected unlike a flap design pouch.

This sleeve is generically sized, not in proportion with the dimensions typical 15.6 inch Dell laptops. It is made a very thin neoprene which offers no protection beyond dust. I have purchased (and still use) much higher quality, padded, & accurately sized Dell laptop sleeves. This item is not comparable.

I purchased the sleeve to offer a bit more protection for my XPS laptop when it is in my backpack. For that purpose, the sleeve does well. However, I found that the stitching along one corner of the sleeve is somewhat compromised. It doesn't have a clean factory look and seems that someone did some extra stitching to reinforce it. With more regular use, I'm concerned that the seam along that corner of the sleeve will eventually come loose. All in all though it is probably a good value for the price and for my specific purposes.

Good sleeve, though a bit thin and too large. I bought for my XPS 15 and wanted a snug fit, this is quite large even if it says up to 15". The padded walls are ok, but not the best protection I've seen. Seems ok though, I do not intend to get my laptop bumping away to test it more thoroughly.

Sleeve is too large
The Dell selling narrative stated that it was suitable for XPS 15 7000 Series. The quality was good and, well, my XPS 15 does go into the sleeve but it is really too loose a fit. I thought that as I was purchasing a Dell product it would be a better fit. Particularly because I could find no other 15” sleeve on their website. So I am now having to look for a sleeve with a closer fit!

You get what you pay for. Not bad, but not great either. It fits the laptop (Inspiron 15, 5510 perfectly, but no pocket for your power supply. Material is pretty thin as well. If you want better, spend more money. This was purchased along with said laptop for a customer.

The sleeve felt great, had nice padding on the interior, and has a nice simplistic design. But it only fit my Alienware X15 R2 if I pushed it down while zipping and the zippers scratched the corners of the laptop when trying to close it.

Just a large generic sleeve, which is way to big for my XPS15 laptop. Annoyed, as the name implies it was being sold to actually fit my 15” laptop! Having an oversized sleeve like this makes it harder to hold my laptop securely, so I will not be using it.

This laptop sleeve is very well made. Unfortunately, it lacks several features that would make it more useful. It lacks a handle which makes it awkward to carry from place to place. In addition, it lacks a place to put its power cord and any other accessories needed. It is clear now that my understanding of what a "sleeve" is, was poor. A clearer explanation of what a sleeve is, would have guided me to look for a product that met my needs.

Very good build quality, lightweight. There is a seam between the zipper and laptop, which should provide cushion and protection from scratches. This case fits a Dell XPS 17 9210 (2022) perfectly. I plan on putting my laptop in this sleeve as well as another bag for travel. The sleeve would work for day trips when you don't need to carry a charger.

It is as advertised. My Dell fits inside. However, the power cords do not. So, be sure to charge up your Dell before you put it inside or be prepared to transport the cords in your pocket!!

Essential Sleeve Protection for my XPS
I purchased this to protect my new XPS-15 laptop when traveling etc. The sleeve is good quality overall but far too big for this laptop. My laptop is swimming around in it, which makes it feel less secure. I would have appreciated knowing this in the description.

I prefer having a brief or sleeve for my go everywhere laptops. I believe those help extend the life of my laptops.
I did prefer the brief that I got five years ago, though. It provided a skid resistant bottom while working on the go.

I have purchased the sleeve for my Dell Inspiron laptop. It perfectly fits and so comfortable. The cushion foam pads at the sides keeps the laptop safe. Overall I liked the product.

It seems OK for the price. Construction seems good, however it is oversized for my XPS15. The worst thing is that it has a terrible smell. I am still trying to air it out, hoping the smell dissipates before I actually put my new laptop in side it.

The dimensions of the sleeve does leave about 1.5 inches of room near the zipper ended with my XPS 15 laptop. It could be a bit smaller to fit more snugly.

Case doesn’t fit the laptop it’s marketed towards
Looks like a fine, standard laptop case. Only problem is that it does not fit my Dell XPS 15 (9520), which it was marketed as being used for. Putting the laptop inside gives almost an inch on every side of unused space, and is very unpractical for my needs. This would be a much better case if it fit the laptop they were marketing it towards.

You get what you pay for. Not bad, but not great either. It fits the laptop (Inspiron 15, 5510 perfectly, but no pocket for your power supply. Material is pretty thin as well. If you want better, spend more money. This was purchased along with said laptop for a customer.

Offers decent protection, but it is somewhat thin for the price of the sleeve. It is also a bit big for the inspiron 15 I ordered it with. The material is also sort of slippy, it is quite easy for it to slip out your grasp if you are not actually holding the sleeve.

The Essential Sleeve was of very good quality. It was advertised to fit most Inspiron 15 2 - in - 1 laptops. For my Inspiron 15 5000 series, I found it uncomfortably snug. This is most noticeable closing the zipper around the corners of the laptop.

I purchased this sleeve for my 15 inch laptop to function as a protector when I stow it in my back pack and it works just fine. Just a word of caution that while this sleeve fits my new 15 inch laptop just fine it didn’t fit my old 15 inch laptop even though both are fairly slim.

I bought this sleeve as a Dell "suggested add-on" when I bought my Inspiron 16 on the Dell web site. I assumed it was the right one since it was suggested along with the laptop. It fits the Inspiron well but oddly, it makes no accommodation for the charger and cords. There are no pockets and there isn't an inch to spare. What does Dell envision you do with that stuff once you put the laptop in the sleeve? Sadly, it will go into the "pile" and I will buy an appropriate sleeve elsewhere.

Weird Audio Glitch
I’ve had this laptop for about a week now and almost everything has worked well if not better than expected. However the one problem the laptop has makes a lot of programs practically unusable. When watching videos on YouTube and twitter or when playing games. The audio will randomly cut out and become incredibly quiet. I can’t tell if this is a software issue or hardware.

I'm satisfied with the cover. I would have preferred s hard cover, but this will provide some protection and I bought Dell's 2 year protection plan, so I guess I'm OK. The fit is actually too big for my 15.5 laptop, which is OK. My only other comment is it literally stunk when I received it; I had to store it outside in the garage for 3-4 nights before I could bring it into my house. The smell did go away, so now it's fine.

Clearer Screen Descriptions Needed
Beware when ordering to double check screen type. The Non-Touch was kept all on one line for the low end screen. I looked at the midlevel screen and saw "touch" by itself and through this was a touch screen option. Due to the word being hyphenated, the system put the "Non-" part on the previous line and while yes it is my fault for not seeing it, that is the screen that I ordered thinking it was a touch screen. Now we have a non-touch screen when we needed a touch one.
Dell needs to consider revising the order of the wording on the listed to try to make it clearer that the middle option is not a touch screen.

Nice case with a reservation
Nice soft case. My only quibble is that there's no dedicated place for the power cord and transformer. If you want to include it with the laptop it makes a big bulge in the side.

Nice protecting cover
I really like this laptop cover. It’s protecting the laptop from any scratches especially if you want put it in a backpack that doesn’t have a space for laptop. The only thing that would be nice for this cover if it was, is being made in different sizes. Highly recommended!

Excellent protector for your notebook computer
Nicely manufactured bag, large enough to hold my Inspiron 15. Soft fuzzy interior is a nice touch that will keep the computer from getting scratched. Nice metal zipper mechanism with sturdy pulls. Only drawback is that I did not realize it doesn't come with a shoulder strap. That was my fault though. Otherwise, a very nice bag to put your computer into before placing inside your backpack.

FAST AND RESPONSIVE! I could be talking about the ordering process or the machine. I hadn't purchased a laptop in a minute. It was easy to go through the website and find the features I wanted. Once I selected it, ordering was easy, and I had a ship date. It actually arrived early. It was securely packaged and shortly after opening, I was booting up! The start up was fast. The initial set up was easy and intuitive. In no time I had connected to the net and was downloading a few sites. I didn't realize it but I had 5 tabs open and there was no drop off in speed or quality. The sound is great. It bounces off the screen and right at the user. It's lightweight, slim and attractive. So far, I'm very pleased.

Dell Essential Sleeve 15
The sleeve looks well made. However it will be used with a Dell XPS 13 which doesn't fit well. Ideally it would be to produce a sleeve for several sizes as done before. In 2015, when I bought another XPS 13, I could also purchase a sleeve suitable to the computer.
