Only complaint is that it extends past the computer outline, this used to cause problems with a computer bag, which required battery removal. I think this also caused the need to replace the internal 'clock' battery prematurely.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Listed compatibility is incorrect. I searched for a new battery for my Inspiron 15R using the parts lookup on the support page. This battery is listed as compatible with the Inspiron 15R (N5010). It is not. If I had looked at the picture more closely, I would have noticed that the connection is not centered like it is on my laptop. Someone needs to update the compatibility so other users don't run into this same problem. Returning now and continuing to use my laptop without a functioning battery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from isn't compatible like the website said I have an Inspiron 15R (N5110. The website says this battery is compatible but it isn't. The battery might be great but make sure that it is compatible with your laptop. The Dell site isn't very good at checking compatibility.

I would give it five stars, but the difficulty of finding and being certain you have the right battery... out of what seems like thousands of choices... made the shopping experience less than perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Paid $163 for a batter that doesn't fit Every review here is the same. WRONG BATTERY. This battery is listed to be compatible with models that are, in fact, not compatible. Considering that this error, on their site, was known (by at least one unhappy costumer) since December of 2013 you'd think Dell would have had enough time to correct the error on their website. A little history. I bought my Dell Inspiron 14R (N4010) in 2011. It had an overheating problem. I sent the laptop to the Dell repair facility. A month later I got the laptop WITHOUT the original operating system that I had paid for. I bought this laptop WITH Windows 7 Pro and the repair facility REMOVED it installing Windows 7 Home! The laptop still overheated. The battery Recently I visited the Dell website and used their tools to direct me to this battery. I bought it. Then took the day off from work, a full day, so I could be available to sign for the package. Is there any way that Dell could waive the requirement for a signature? I can't afford to take time off from work just to get a part. So, now I have to send the original battery back. Based on the the other review here I'm not looking forward to dealing with returning the battery. If I decide to buy another battery from Dell then I'd have to take a second day off from work just to get this battery. I think two things are clear. 1) Get a batter from a company that has their act together 2) When I replace my laptop - Don't by a Dell. Dell has gone downhill

Unfortunately it did not fit into the computer, so I returned the battery. I'll start over with Dell T/S to see whether Dell can provide a proper battery. If not, I guess I'll have to replace the laptop with something else. The original Tech chat session ID for this incident was 267561.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still Not Compatible with 17R N7010 I feel like an idiot because I only checked Dell's compatibility list before I ordered this battery. I should have read these reviews and compared photos of the battery with my own.This battery does not have the same shape or the same location of the power connector as the slot in my laptop. The first Dell customer rep that I talked to tried to tell me that the difference was because it was a 9 cell battery. I told him about these reviews and he immediately started working on a replacement battery. I don't understand why Dell refuses to correct their web site, since they've known about this issue since last year. Hopefully the replacement will fit.

Also took 50 min of my time to try and speak to someone to return the batteries that I ordered, since my daughter had the same computer and her battery also died....

My Inspiron 15R (N5110) is listed as compatible with this battery on the website - NOT!! Customer Service is sending me the 90 hour battery which has served me well in the past. Dell please update your website so no one else has to deal with exchanging a part needlessly
