Cannot turn off "auto-off" feature
This applies to several S400 scales -- we have a lot at this company....
Followed the directions precisely in the "Portable Digital USB Shipping Scale User Guide" which state
"1. While the scale is off, press and hold kg/lb button.
2. While holding kg/lb button, press Power button.
The display shows A.OF and then 0.0 when ready.
The scale now remains on until manually turned off.
Turning off the Auto Shut Off feature is temporary. You need to repeat this procedureeach time you turn on the scale."
None of this procedure worked .... EVER... NOT EVEN ONCE!
If you (Dymo have change the programming, and this feature is no longer available, then this needs to be reflected in product descriptions and manuals.

We bought this scale for our shipping department to use with the UPS software. In order to get the scale to work with UPS you have to have add the following to the scales.ini file

The only con is, that we can not seem to change the auto shut off setting. In the manual there are simple instructions for turning off auto shut off. Following the instructions does absolutely nothing. Every time the scale shuts off and you turn it back on you have to reestablish it in the UPS software, which is just a pain.

Doesn't work
I just took this out of the box tonight to use it and when i turned it on it immediately went to display 00000 this was with nothing on it and will not weigh anything. Total waste..
