With the ability to scan, restore and archive an extensive range of films and prints at fast speeds, Epson Perfection V600 Photo scanner has low power consumption for maximum efficiency and no warm-up time for instant scanning. With 6400dpi optical resolution and 3.4DMAX optical density for film scanning, the Epson Perfection V600 Photo creates high-quality images, meeting the photo and film reproduction needs of photographers.

The Epson Perfection V600 Photo features a built-in Transparency Unit (TPU) that supports full panoramic medium format film. Users have the ability to create digital archives from photos, filmstrips, mounted slides and medium format full panoramic film, making it ideal for preserving important memories and images, as well as photographic reproduction for printing.

Energy Star compliant, Epson's innovative ReadyScan LED technology minimizes power consumption. With the added benefit of no warm-up time, scanning can start as soon as the power is turned on and the scanning of reflective targets is 1.5 times faster than previous models.

Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 1154.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job Good features but a little quirky with Windows 10. A software update to fix would be nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scanning 35mm Slides and More I bought this over a year ago and finally got around to doing what I need to do, which is start scanning a few thousand 35mm slides taken from about 1970 to 1990.After studying the manual and experimenting, I settled on a set of scanning parameters and decided to use the TIFF file format for master copies. I used 24 bit color, 2400 dpi, unsharp mask: low, color restoration, and dust removal:high. The result is I scan 4 slides at a time in the holder provided. Scan takes 2 min and 15 sec for 4 slides and the result is TIFF files of 18 MB each with slide resolution of 2040 X 3070. DIGITAL ICE was not used because of much longer scan times with little benefit because I was very careful to remove most dust and was very careful with cleanliness.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great hardware - Klutsy software I use it to archive about a 100 years of photos. Does great job restoring color and eliminating scratches, cracks and other results of aging. Software would not install on my Windows 7 Pro desktop, but works ok on my windows 10 laptop.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from If only Epson had a modern driver none of my Adobe product will connect due to no 64 bit driver. TWAIN doesnt seem to work either. Epson scan software is clunky at best and becomes unbearable quickly. wish i would have known this before i purchased. the scan that it does are pretty decent as i would expect but, the software makes me cringe to the point i would rather use an app on my phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good...but the software. I have had a V600 for 5 years (my old one physically destroyed in an accident). They are great devices, hardware wise, but the software seems to be a bit strange at least as the defaults go. Functionally the software is fine but they do things like when you scan a PDF it defaults to put the scan into the photo folder.. just what I need - a bunch of invoices, purchase orders, catalogs or white papers in with my photos, the defaults all seem strange. As long as you know that and just check to be sure they did not select a weird default (there are about a dozen that bug me). it is a really good unit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Grest machine I have used this off and on for five years on a different computer. It did every thing of which I asked it, and only confused me once.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprise! I've never had a photo scanner before but this one is great! The biggest surprise is how easy it is to use especially when scanning 35mm negatives and slides. I saw slides that made me so happy that I never threw them out! I totally recommend this scanner!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall the scanner works great. I purchased it a few weeks ago and it took a while to get use to how things work.Scanning slides I found you need to leave the size of the image and choose a higher resolution say 2400 dpi (or higher if you have room to store large files). Same with color negatives. B&W negatives are best at around 1200 dpi to keep the file size manageable. Don't forget to clean the slides and negatives! Dust will collect on them no matter how clean you think you space is unless you use a 'clean room' The software is outdated although the color correction and backlight features work OK I use other software to edit the scans.
