When I started my Windows 10 PC it recognized and setup the new keyboard in a few seconds and it has been working great ever since.

It is a little noisy when typing according to people I video conference with who hear me typing notes during meetings, but whatever. I don't see it as a big deal since I enjoy typing on it.

But that not that big of a deal and there is no black light for the keys. But for a cheap price it still is something good to use

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a good match for my HP computer The thing I like about this keyboard is the key spacing. It's wider than the keyboard that came with the computer. I am not going to be accidentally hitting the cap lock button when I type an A as often. The index keys F and J are more pronounced, so I can keep the typist's alignment. It needs a different driver than the OEM keyboard. You need to be on the internet to search for a suitable driver.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HP Keyboard 100 This is not my first HP keyboard and I have 2 others that are about 15 years old that still work fine. This one may not be the top of the line but I just wanted one at my desk to use on a mini itx computer that didn't take up a lot of real estate. I've had good experiences with HP products over the years and bought this one to replace another keyboard that cost more but only lasted 2 weeks. Some of the reviews I read didn't like the low profile keys but to me that's a plus. The higher profile keys tend to stick over time. This one even has 3 extra keys for volume up, down and mute which would be handy at my audio work station but it's not a deal breaker. It would be nice to see this on other HP keyboards. In summary if you just want a decent back up I seriously don't think you'll go wrong here and I'm more than satisfied with this one versus price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic Light Pros: good key travel, fantastic feedback, good old HP keyboard layout (almost). Cons: build quality is not the best, not a quiet keyboard, angle is fairly shallow. I got this as a replacement for my 10 year old, built like a brick, HP keyboard because one key started to stick. I wanted an equivalent replacement to avoid keyboard shock. This was the closest I could get. It's almost the same. There are slight annoying key layout differences but otherwise it's pretty much the same. Unfortunately, the build quality has gone does and I don't expect it to last anywhere as long as the original. Then again, for $8 one should not expect very much and this keyboard gave me much more than I expected for the price. So, if you are looking to replicate your old HP keyboard experience this one will be as close as you can get.

Ergonomically, would have preferred a space between the arrow keys and the End key, but overall, reasonable for the price. I am submitting this review in exchange for a Sweepstakes entry, but the opinions are my own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not quite like the old one I had worn off the white letters on my old keyboard. This is the closest replacement. It works fine, though seems lighter weight plastic. There are two small pieces of rubber on bottom front edge to keep from scratching things I guess. One of them fell off the first day of use. There are no longer lights for number lock and caps lock, but when I did hit caps lock accidentally there was a warning on the computer screen about it...All in all it works but doesn't feel as sturdy as the old one.

Not sure if it was the board its self or just not compatible with my older Hp computer. Tired to contact HP but they never got back to me so sent it back.

I also like it because volume and PrtScr keys are independent from fn key - you won't have to make sure fn is unlocked to operate them. In addition, layout of Insert/Delete, Home/End and PageUp/PageDown buttons is standard, ie, placed in two rows right above the arrow keys. F and J keys have a distinct tab that make it easy to find them by touch. I use a KVM to switch between two computers. It works best with a wired keyboard and am glad this wired keyboard is available. All these features make it an ideal keyboard for me. Thank you HP.

Unfortunately the new one would not allow it either. After an analysis at local computer store they suggested trying a different brand. I did and now I can type capitals again. I did prefer the old keyboard over the new because letters were easier to see.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing price but weird home key row location Nicely made, shockingly inexpensive soft-touch replacement keyboard for working from home after I spilled coffee all over my old one and my company wasn’t going to send me a new one for many months. However, the home key row is weirdly moved down one row from its normal position to add 3 non-standard (unnecessary) volume buttons above it, next to the number row. The result is that years of muscle memory have my fingers hitting the wrong keys instead of home and end. I finally got another new HP keyboard from work with a standard key layout, so this one will be my backup.

I found it very difficult to type on it because I was never sure where my fingers were on the keyboard. It didn't matter if I bought a wired or wireless keyboard because I never move my HP Desktop with touch screen computer. It was super simple to plug in and worked immediately. And it was bargain priced. I have recommended this keyboard to friends.

I have no idea if this mouse is good or bad, or even works, because it was ordered January 19 and delivered Jan 23, but the computer it is to be used on is just now ( Feb 10) leaving China and won't be delivered until Feb 18 or later. HP has a thirty-day period in which an item can be returned, but this has now expired, so bad luck for me.

My only issue, and the reason for 4 stars, is it takes a bit more pressure to depress the keys which have a longer throw than I am used to. This keyboard reminds me of the OE boards that came with desktops 15 or 20 years ago. For the price, it is a decent keyboard.

No comparison to what I had...this one works the way it's supposed to...lightening fast internet...no waiting for a page to load. Nothing changed but the computer....but as I said, this one works as intended. Fantastic job on the refurb, and couldn't ask for more than what I got, especially for the cost. I had to rig up some keyboard shortcuts to get a play/pause, skip, and back media button. no complaints with the rest of the keyboard. The keys feel a little tight and my hands cramp up a little but i think I just need one of those fancy wide/angled ones.

Unfortunately with this new model I no longer have the very handy sleep key, hence the 4 stars. HP should offer a keyboard similar to the model 100, but which includes that feature.

The typing experience is very enjoyable, and as a bonus (for me at least) it comes with 3 media buttons for volume/mute (which come in handy for video games, movies, music, etc...). I much prefer the convenience of the buttons over using the mouse for volume control, and at the end of the day I would say the HP 100 keyboard is a wonderful product which should be considered as a viable option. I'll definitely be recommending this keyboard in the future for family, and friends who need a great general purpose keyboard.

The placement of Home, End, Page Up, Page Down, PrtScr, Scroll Lock and Pause/Break take some getting used to. If you're already used to a particular keyboard layout, be aware this one is different. The key action is very good.

But when I installed it, it didn't lie flat or at an angle. It wobbled. One of the front pads is not level. I ended up taking a small piece of felt and gluing it to the front and that solved the issue.

The far left side has a slight wobble. I tried laying on different surfaces and its the keyboard is not plum. Other than that I love the size of the keys
