My printer is 14 years old and still prints clearly and in depth color due to the HP ink that I use. Thank you for making a quality, long-lasting product!

I pull out the new Cyan ink cartridge and the LED screen message says, Cyan ink cartridge is missing. I install the second new Cyan ink cartridge that I recently purchased and the LED screen message says, Cyan ink cartridge is empty, SO ??????? What do I do now ????

Rated 5 out of 5 by LongtimeHPInkjetUser from In-date but non-functional cartridge I own a Business Inkjet 1100, and my most recent experience is pushing me further from the HP fold after having used HP printers exclusively for my home printing needs for well over a decade. I started out horribly displeased that HP renders full ink cartridges inoperable because *they* feel that they're beyond an arbitrary date (at most this *might* merit a warning), I am now flat out angry because I bought a new cyan cartridge from HP and it does not work even though the date stamp claims that it's good through 2013. From a powered off state, the printer acts like it recognizes the cartridge, but then ultimately returns to the state in which it claims that the cartridge is empty (or otherwise unusable). I bought yet another replacement cyan cartridge, which works, so the fault lies with this particular cartridge. Lowest marks to HP for shipping an expensive but defective product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by designexpert from GREAT INK BUT WAY TOO EXPENSIVE I'm loyal to HP printers but HATE how EXPENSIVE the inks are. Also they NEVER last for as many copies as is stated in the specs, and must be replaced FAR MORE FREQUENTLY. To have a printer like mine (HP Business Inkjet 2800) it costs almost $160 every time I have to change all four cartridges. HP needs to show more loyalty to customers by having bigger discounts more frequently. I'm seriously considering swapping out for another printer.
