Rated 5 out of 5 by from 3500 pages? I haven't used my new cartridge yet. The last cartridge of the same type lasted about six months. I'm pretty sure that I did not print 20 pages a day with it. Perhaps my dpi setting is higher than what HP uses to come up with 3500. But the cartridge I used before, also the same type, lasted longer. I got toner on myself when removing the cartridge, which usually does not happen. The cartridge that I just loaded did not have a little tab to pull off. As I recall, previously they did. I double- and triple-checked but did not find one, then loaded without a problem. I find the instructions to be indecipherable. Larger clearer diagrams with some text would really help. I do feel more confident buying HP cartridges, but they aren't cheap. Also becoming disappointed in some ways with the printer that I'm using, the LaserJet Pro M203dw. It prints great, but the WiFi connection keeps dropping, and I've wasted literally hours resetting in various ways, only to have the download or installation hang up at some random point. Still works find when connecting to the computer by cable ~ hope I didn't just jinx that!

I had problems from day one, my printer didn’t recognize it, and I had to turn it off and on several times before it did. A week later I got the automatic message that the toner was out. Impossible with a week old cartridge, especially a high yield cartridge that I had used to print out 3 or 4 jobs. Again I had to turn the printer off and on several times before it continued as normal. Because this is a brand new printer (which was working fine on the previous factory shipped cartridge), and brand new cartridge, I am not able to discern at this point if it’s the cartridge or the printer or a combination of both.

However since then I have been deluged by these pop ups every time I open my computer or switch screens. I contacted HP to stop this, but no one would take responsibility to do anything about it. This experience continues and is extremely distracting, disturbing, and an unsolicited intrusion on my privacy. It has sullied your reputation in my mind. I thought your company was better than this.

Additionally, I love that they offer a higher capacity toner for most printers. Finally, I do not trust other brands of toner to go into my HP printer. It costs almost half of what the printer itself costs! Also, I began getting messages on the printer months ago that the ink was about to run out and I've continued to use it and it is still printing normally. So, you are inducing panic buying and crying Wolf.

Shipping took longer than expected but it did come a day early as opposed to the first one which was a day late.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Printer/driver issues of magnitude For about two years, I have been using a HP Laserjet Enterprise M506 with great satisfaction. Then something happened with the HP driver and its compatibility with Citrix software as used by my remotely hosted income tax software. Printing just basically quit. I replaced that with a HP LaserJet Pro M404n and have achieved a moderatle level of satisfaction. However, periodically, it just prints garbage. Both printer problems point toward the PCL 6 driver problem. I will probably never buy HP for my CPA practice printers again. In a nutshell, customer service stinks, response stinks. Goodbye.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Laser Printer After struggling with a 12 year old 'monster' sized Brother 'All-in-One' color laser printer that was so big and heavy i need to buy a small beefy table to put it on, i was ready to get something a little more practical and lower-cost to use. The Brother printer did decent printing for maybe the first 5 or 6 years but slowly started to deteriorate until finally, with yellow, blue and magenta bleeding on all sides of copies i would make, i knew it was time to upgrade. The cost of replacing those 4 cartridges was also a major factor as to replace them all at the same time, using the high-yield cartridges i always bought to save a few bucks, cost about $500. Enough about the old..... (and carrying this down to the curb for the recycle truck was no fun, either!) So the new HP M227fdw printer i bought is much smaller, is only b&w which is all i ever use and fits on my desktop... Prints beautifully and the high-yield HP 30X cartridge i just bought is as easy to install as any printer I've ever owned. As this is only about a month old, time will tell if it delivers the results i expect but everyone i ever asked an opinion about regarding printers always say -- immediately, i might add-- "Get HP!" So ok..... i did! (4 stars now until it proves it deserves all that praise)

The HP LJ M227 unit is a standard we use for our work at home staff. I've purchased over 30 units over the last three years and continue to do so. I have been getting notifications that the original cartridge is low on toner for weeks. I have printed hundreds of pages since the notifications first started but so far have not run out of toner in the original cartridge. I do appreciate that I get an early heads up so that I have plenty of time to acquire a replacement. I do like my new MFP M227, as is true for all of my many HP printers over the years , however I was disappointed to get a notification just a few days after my purchase that this was an older model and that there would no longer be HP support for this model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Supply Level Very Low after 514 pages Installed the cartridge on July 8, 2020. By Feb 2021, the Low Supply Level appeared and by Mar, the Very Low warning came up. The Supplies Status report indicated 514 pages printed. This is used very little for the house. Even college kids submit everything digitally so they don't use it a lot. A warning light at 514 page output is very disappointing when it is supposed to print 3000. Based on the Drum Pages Printed, the cartridge that the printer came with printed out 1751 pages (2265-514) and that was a regular sized cartridge. Even that cartridge brought up the Low toner warning early on. I think HP programs their product to show the low toner warning so customers can purchase another cartridge right away. The only reason I would recommend is it's the OEM cartridge for the printer.

The toner is far cheaper than ink and for my requirements, has the best quality. The toner can be found at some very good prices and will print many many pages of documents.

Usually I can guarantee that the "very low" cartridge still has 3 months of use left in it and I just keep using it until the print quality is also "very low". So, don't be fooled by what your printer tells you!

One is that I paid less for my first car than one of these cartridges costs. They are very expensive. Secondly, my HP printer now seems to be telling my computer that there is some problem with the printer. Installing the cartridge is so easy, I don't think I caused a problem. Could it be that there is a flaw in the cartridge that causes the error message?

Instead it had an envelope that wasn't big enough to hold the cartidge--likely only big enough for ink cartridges
