Ive printed out 44 pages and already reading low. Will be getting a different beand if you camt get prices in line. This cannot be the first time you've heard this. Being in sales myself, i know the value of market share. HP will price themselves out of the market.

Volume of copies is much better
The first black cartridge I had for my printer didn't last very long and ink isn't cheap! So when I replaced the black I searched for something that would last longer than 2 weeks. I was working from home like a lot of other people and I couldn't be running out of ink every other week. Happily this cartridge has proven to last much longer.

I have only owned HP prenters. I only use HP cartridges . I tried to use a cheaper product off the Internet after I bought them when I went to use them they all failed . They would not print . I went back to HP cartridges and have not had any problems .

Just don’t buy anything else
I don’t print often: bus tickets, mail-only applications, return labels...like 2-3 black and white pages a week max. My first HP cartridge lasted me a year, and I bought some cheap one on amazon with good reviews it lasted maybe 20 pages, so I ordered the HP one from the app and realized I shouldn’t have bothered with cheaper alternatives. I’d rather pay for a product that just works.

The ink cartridge required is not clear from the materials provided, and apparently the printer is not a standard model as my on-line supplier couldn't find it, and your own customer service people took more than 5 minutes to locate it.

I just purchased this printer about 6 weeks ago. The printer is only used for my daughters schoolwork and random pages I print of emails and confirmation of medical payments. There is NO WAY that we have printed close to 480 pages and the ink is out already. The printer gets used about twice a week. What are other HP printer users thoughts?

I own a HP OfficeJet 3830 for work and I am always blown away how convenient and reasonable HP is with their shipping and cost of each cartridge. I get about 4-500 pages in each 63XL cartridge. I use only the XL High Yield cartridges and find they work very well. I have few issues with ink clogging the print jets on my printer and I love the fact that I get many, many pages of print with these cartridges. They are definitely worth the money and I won't buy anything but HP.

I printed some documents with the new cartridge, somehow the ink won't dry (or won't fix on the paper) and after a week when I touched those paper the letter still got blurred by my finger. The previous one works perfectly though.

I have tried the XL in black and in color and neither works in my printer. I have an Officejet 5200 series which is supposed to be compatible. They'll work the first few uses and then start throwing incompatibility errors. My aunt has the same errors when she uses them as well.

Normally I buy my toner from the local office supply stores, but I decided to buy directly from HP to see if the price is different. It was and I also ordered the XL in the toner I needed to print more copies. To my surprise it was delivered within a few days of ordering and a recycle bag was provided for the old cartridges. Always had an issue discarding or recycling the cartridge. Will continue to purchase toner from HP.

I ordered 4 cartridges when there was an okay sale going on. The ink came quickly and I've always been pleased that - to my knowledge - this is a company who seems to try to keep things environmentally friendly. The packaging is minimal- and mostly cardboard, so recyclable, and they included a bag for an easy way for you to return the old cartridges to be recycled just by sticking it in the mailbox. Ink as a whole for all companies is incredibly way too expensive and HP is no different. The regular 63 did not last me long, so I'm hoping I will get more bang for my buck from the 63xl. I think traditionally in the past I have. I also believe HP is a USA based company.

If I could give zero stars, I would have! Printer is fine, I like features - except the touchscreen inexplicably goes dark about 2x p/day; need to unplug or turn off printer & reboot to get the screen back. What a pain! And the paper jams constantly.
But, the big problem: I now have a printer than I can't afford to print on! I have spent more on ink in 1 month than the entire cost of the printer! I find that EXPENSIVE black ink cartridges (HP63) last ONLY 2 to 2-1/2 DAYS of printing! SUPER-EXPENSIVE HP63XL cartridges last ONLY 5 DAYS! There is NO WAY that I print 380-480 pages every month!
I already print on the 'draft' setting. I don't print photos - though I wish I could...I have photo printing paper, but I now see it will be prohibitive to afford ink if I print photos, it's more cost effective to have them printed at a photo shop.
I am unemployed/job hunting & on limited income - I CANNOT AFFORD $160 every month for ink alone! I wish I had know this before purchasing.... I would NOT have bought this HP printer!

Due to lightning strikes, putting out a church paper and other very hard use I am on maybe my 4th HP printer and have had good use out of all the ink cartridges.
I tried the regular, but the XL high yield last so much longer I think they might actually save me money. I am very pleased with the 63 XL high yield .

Although I have yet to receive my order (should come tomorrow 6/17/2019) I have purchased the HP ink in the past. I have an older and newer model of printers, the older model uses HP28 and HP56 ink, while the newer model uses an HP63. HP is the only supplier of the older model ink. This order was ink for both printers. I have used HP ink from the beginning and I highly recommend HP products.

I used knockoff ink cartridges for my older HP printer once in the past. That did not work out too well--actually--at all! The quality even of documents was less than acceptable and when it came to photos, forget it! Switched back to authentic ink cartridges and never looked back. Incompatibility Problem
I love HP products but this ink will not work in my Officejet 4650. I know I am not the only one with this issue. Just wish HP would fix the issue. The only complaint I have is that the 63XL older cartridges that I have will not work with the newer printer. They should be named differently. I opened several so I can’t return them.

I always purchase genuine HP ink cartridges for my printer. I like the XL high yield as it saves me money in the long run. No yellow
I've bought probably 100 ink cartridges over the years from HP. This is the 1st time I've had trouble -- the last TWO times I have ordered! The first one went onto an old printer and so I thought it was the printer itself. But this one was for my 1-yr-old printer. There's no yellow! My orange comes out red. And when I try to print yellow highlight it comes out dashed with red/orange....again no yellow. Hmmm...somewhat discouraged at this new unexpected development with HP.

The cartridges provide optimal ink coverage and many printed pages. The advantage of purchasing the XL vs. the regular is that I don't have to spend time changing the cartridges and adjusting the print quality as often, which are important features to me.

I really appreciate the high yield ink for the HP printer. If I buy the regular I usually run out because I end up printing more than usual. This cartridge last a lot longer and I get all my bills printed out in a flash. It has the ink that dries fast and ready to pay. Thanks HP for designing the high yield ink!

Works fine like any other ink cartridge but when I removed the plastic seal before placing it in the printer, black ink went everywhere. On my clothes, hands, carpet, etc. Giant mess. Be careful when removing the plastic seal.

I can't believe how quickly this ink cartridge ran out. I print on lowest quality to conserve ink, but it still ran out in less than 3 weeks. I am very disappointed, and upset that I spent so much money on so little ink! It did not last as many pages as it was supposed to.

This is the third model of HP printer that I have had. I love the all in ones but with this model the ink cartridges seem to use more ink faster than the others. Changing the settings can change the life of cartridge some but not that much.

I Like HP Products
I have a HP Pavilion Notebook computer and 4 HP printers. Even though 3 of the printers are getting old they still work great from the beatings from my grandchildren. All four printers use cartridge ink. Over the years I have found that HP ink can't be beaten. My computer really works well. My satisfaction with these products proves "Why I Like HP Products". All of this text sounds "corny", but it is true.

I have been buying xl ink for all my printers. But with the 63xl does not seem to last as long with this new printer. I love being able to buy the 63xl but I have not found that with the HP service to purchase the ink tin the double pack. I really like being able to go online through HP and purchase the ink.

I highly recommend the HP63XL High Yield Original Ink Cartridge. It produces distinct Black Print. The high yield means I do not have to order as often. I have tried generics with unsatisfactory results.

This is the 1st time I’ve EVER received a New Black Cartridge from HP that has been faulty. After printing just less than 80 pages, my printer is telling me that I’m low on Black Ink! Really? Its got to be a flook... but just my Luck. If it’s ever going to happen... It will ALWAYS happen to me! Thank God I ordered 2. I’m crossing my fingers that it won’t happen TWICE!

I always keep extra cartridges so I will not run out. I always buy HP cartridges so when I replaced my black, I was amazed at the notification that the cartridge was NOT COMPATIBLE. I re-inserted the cartridge numerous times with the same result. I had ordered new color and black cartridges and used one of the blacks. It was fine. I am not sure what occurred with the other one, but $30.00 is a lot to pay for something that does NOT work.

these tri-color cartridges are prone to running out of one of the colors making the cartridge unusable from that point forward. End up replacing it with another expensive cartridge and throwing away remaining ink I paid for.

I'm a retired person. I do not print much. I did print out some information for my niece on baby strollers, car seats and cribs from Consumer Reports. There isn't any way that I printed out 480 sheets of paper before I had to go to the store and get another cartridge. Now I'll go to Consumer Reports to see which printer I should have bought.

Worked for 2 Weeks
Printed about 20 pages and now the cartridges are unusable. The printer will not read them and keeps asking me to reinstall them, refuses to work, but when I put in the old (empty) cartridges it is perfectly happy.
Not sure what the fault is and am struggling to get ahold of customer service to get a refund.

Previously I would buy HP cartridges from "Big Box" stores and, if they sat in my desk for a longer than average length of time, they would not perform as wall as I desired (due to partially frying out?). Now, I buy my HP cartridges directly from HP, sometimes pay less -but never more - and have NOT had a problem with their performance - no matter how long I keep them before use! I truly recommend them to anyone who buys more than 1 or 2 single cartridges at a time!

XL PRINT Count NOT ACCURATE
I just replaced my printer cartridge with an XL I just purchased which advertises it will print over 400 pages. I figured I would purchase this XL because I knew I had a lot of pages to print in the future and my old cartridge did not last very long. In the process of replacing the cartridge I discovered that the old cartridge was also an XL but unfortunately it printed less than 40 pages. I am hoping this new cartridge has made some improvements.

The HP box the 63XL cartridge came in says it will work with the 3830. However, when I installed it I got the error message: "indicated cartridges are not for use in this printer." The printer worked fine with the previous two basic 63 cartridge (the second one has run dry), and the two versions look identical. However, the printer rejects the cartridge. No matter how good the cartridge may be, if it will not work when installed it is useless. It appears I am out $33, because I cannot take back the cartridge and opened box to the store.

My cartridges were running low and I couldn't find them in stores anywhere during the COVID timing. Looking on line, I found the 63XL coupled with the 63 colored cartridge and ordered them. They both arrived and in perfect condition.

I know hp makes all their money selling ink cartridges but it is irritating every product uses different cartridges. My older version suddenly had problems loading ink cartridges. So I thought my old batch of 62’s might be bad so I bought more. That was not the problem so I bought the latest version. Of course all those 62 cartridges are useless as the new machine needs 63’s. No reason for this except to make more money off sheep’like me who continue to buy hp printers

I prefer HP ink in my HP printer. It prints smoother, darker and doesn't gum up the print heads so often. I also like the larger tank as I don't have to change the cartridge as often.

Arrived damaged!
While the product worked, it arrived in a damaged box that was not part of the mailing process. I figured it was another HP ink product that wasn’t going to work, since that was why I left the automatic system. Too many cartridges didn’t work. But so far it is working inspite if it’s beat up box.

I have purchased generic cartridges which cost less, but do not provide the quality or as many prints as the HP 63XL. The HP cartridge costs a little more than generics, but return outweighs competition. Remember the adage: 'you get what you pay for!" Go with manufacturer's cartridge!

I purchased two cartridges for a cheaper price, was told it would take 2 to 4 days for delivery. My delivery took... 6 days total. I needed that ink no later than the 4th day and it never showed. I bought 4 black cartridges and 1 tri-color. When I put the first black one into the printer, it did not work. It was defective. Trying to contact Hp for a replacement has been a huge headache. there is no easy place on line telling me what to do and phone doesn't work. VERY BAD SUPPORT from this company. I am very disappointed and would like to return the defective cartridge for a refund but cannot figure out how to do that.

I do not use it for high resolution photos etc. My main use is to print the daily crossword from our local newspaper. My husband's vision is going, and he can work the crossword if I print it on two pages. I haven't printed in color much, if any, but the colors looked sharp on the test page. This has been fulfilling my work needs, except that the scan feature is a bit glitchy. The problem is trying to scan from my iPhone, the printer isn’t always found. I just unplug and replug and that works, but is a minor inconvenience.

The price could have a very been cheaper!. The price has increased on many of jp products in the past three months. Walmart sells them for $45.00 per set..much cheaper, the same with Target and Sam's club they range about $48.00 to $55.00. Cheaper than buying them direct from HP sorry!

This is the first time I had to buy ink for my new printer. Installed the new cartridge and said to reinstall cartridge because it would not print went to help and done all steps it said to do, still would not print. went a bought a new cartridge and installed it works fine. Spoke to someone at HP he was no help at all. Now I have a 63XL cartridge that is no good that I paid $42 for and no way to get help from HP. This is the first time in years I have ever had a problem with HP.

I've always had good luck with HP wifi printers; have two of them actually. They work incredibly well, and I frequently use the scan and print functions. I have noticed that the ink never seems to last very long; we just replaced both our cartridges approximately 3 months ago, and we don't print a lot. So utilizing HP's website, I ordered more ink. A promotion was going on, so I got free next day delivery, awesome! I did notice that for these particular cartridges, there are 3 different "sizes". Now, the cartridges are all the same shape/size obviously, but HP sells them with different levels of ink in them. My issue is why? I would compare this to a restaurant giving you a large glass, then offering to fill it to various levels, and charging more for each level. If the cartridge can hold "x" quantity, fill it up, and sell it, simple.

Under the present circumstances I can understand why delivery might be slower than normal. I was told it would be a 2-4 day delivery- instead it took over a week. Ink is a pretty basic, but essential item to being able to use my printer, and I had important legal documents to print out. This was frustrating.

I bought HP 63XL High Yield Black and HP 63XL Tri color High Yield for my Office Jet 5258 all in one printer. Since we are home bound due to the Covid-19 quarantine, my chances of getting out to an office supply store were slim. Especially since I am at the target age of 69 and have compromising conditions! After I ordered my ink I realized it was from California, I thought it would never arrive, due to all the mail delays and the fact that I live on the East coast. But to my surprise and delight, the ink came in a remarkably short amount of time. I have been very pleased with the product, especially because I can purchase a high yield cartridge. It seems like I was always running out of ink. I definitely will be purchasing my next set again through HP and would highly recommend anyone with an HP product to do as well.

I've been using an HP OfficeJet 3830 at home for a couple of years now, but have not done a lot of printing until now that I'm working from home. I had to order a new black cartridge and 1. I was impress with the speed of delivery and 2. I've been really pleased with how long the cartridge has lasted. I miss my laser printer at work, but I've found both my OfficeJet and the cartridges to be a solid, effective, and relatively inexpensive alternative at home.

Careful and attentive as I am to printer supplies, I seem to run out of ink without warning every so often, since usage is a bit unpredictable. When I do, I can rely on HP's next-business-day delivery promise as more than just advertising hype. It's saved me more than once.
