Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Ink is Way way overpriced I don’t believe I get over 100 pages, if even that. HP runs customers off with it’s high priced ink. One set of the XL cartridges costs more than a brand new HP-70 Series printer with ink. $40.00 would still be overpriced, so shop around for efficient printer. No way do I get near 300 or even 200 pages, and 100 is a maybe. I have had HP products since 1976 and feeling disappointed right now.

After replacing them , I went to the feature which shows me the approximate ink levels. It showed all were full except for cyan. This showed low ink level, replace soon. Explained this to HP customer service. They are sending me a free replacement. Thank you HP.

Then, suddenly those would no longer work, and the supplier told me it is because HP did an update for their printers that prevented the use of non-HP cartridges. I was angry because the HP cartridges are more expensive and the off-brand worked as well. Now I am forced to pay higher prices. I will probably replace my HP printer with an Epson or Canon printer.

Over the course of 2 days I had to clean the print heads 4 times. I also printed about 10 color documents (not a lot of color needed to print those particular pages). The ink cartridge indicator on the printer now says that this cartilage is now empty. I’m wondering if they sold me a starter cartridge (the kind of under filled cartridge that comes with a new printer).

I had tried to purchase cyan cartridges at my local Staples, but they had been out of stock for some time, and the sales rep told me it was because the HP cyan cartridges had been recalled due to being defective. Evidently they are stilled being produced defective. I have owned HP printers for many years, and this is the first time I have ever had defective HP cartridges,

So without being able to buy "compatible" hp cartridges I guess the printer is now a boat anchor. Epson or Canon, and definitely NOT HP, will be my next choice for a printer.

So i am happy I was able to get these. When I called originally you didn't have them, but the rep told me they were coming in the following week. When replacing them all about 1-2 months after purchase, the error message state the Cyan cartridge was defective. Too difficult to speak with a a representative. Ordered a new cyan replacement. I purchased from HP so this type of situation would not occur. I expected better quality that the generic cartridges, which I haven’t ordered in years. Will return old cartridge in recycle bag for inspection.

I tried to respond by email to your chat room and got absolutely nowhere. My printer with the new ink is not working properly even though I did a color pattern test. Not sure what HP is up too, but it appears that they may have lost their edge in the market place. I cannot print full color even though I have put new ink cartridges in my printer. Frustrated with HP quality control, product reliability, shipping deficiencies. Very poorly managed corporation. I am Disappointed with no recourse from a company that doesn't allow for product return.

Unfortunately the Cyan did not work. HP refunded my cost and I ordered a single Cyan cartridge. I also did not work. I called HP service and they determined that my printer was defective. I had 2 months remaining on my warranty and they sent a replacement printer. Received it, installed and all colors now work. Thank you HP.

Bought cyan cartridge for the 3rd time, First one was not recognized as HP by the printer. 2nd and 3rd were accepted but would not print. So now bought a Cannon printer where I can actually get cyan ink.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exchange of defective cartridge A cartridge I purchased at BestBuy did not work. I was informed that I needed to go to HP directly to get a replacement free of charge. I called HP to do this and it turns out that the process of getting this done was just too cumbersome. It required the serial number of the printer, the date/receipt of the BestBuy cartridge purchased, plus a bunch more. It just took too long to gather all the info, so I give-up and payed for the replacement.
