The appearance is also great,my other keyboard much smaller and the keys were sticking a lot. I have always tried to stay with HP, because I believe in them for the pricing and parts availability.. The price for this keyboard was very low and shipping wasn't bad either... Thanks HP for all in the past, and the future to come.

This keyboard is so flimsy and it takes so much to depress a key that my typing has slowed considerably and my hands are tired. I'm tossing this keyboard. That being said, the tech used to connect the wireless keyboard and mouse works really well, and the mouse is fine. I'd consider a different set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not Bad I bought this wireless keyboard to try and wasn't totally happy. I find that the lack of lights on the keyboard make it more cumbersome to use. There is no lights to tell you if number lock it on or caps lock is on.

However, my stepkid didn't like the fact it dont have a caplock light, and my grandson dont like the mouse button cause its harder to click when gaming. But i liked it enough to buy 2 of them. Ones on a linux platform and works fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't buy this product.. I bought this in September along with the new laptop that I purchased from Hewlett Packard. I've been very happy with the laptop and the customer service, however, the keyboard is a different story. When I first received it, I noticed that the dongle (the flash drive looking adapter that plugs into your computer) was cheaply made with the interior chip explosed. After a couple of months, I needed to remove it and it was stuck in the USB port because the little metal ring had come off. I had to take it out with plyers and it had fallen apart. Supposedly it's under warranty, but you can't get it repaired or the part replaced; so I don't know what they are warrantying. It seems like a manufacturer's defect to me. All they wanted to do was sell me another keyboard, which makes no sense since I don't have any confidence in the quality of this keyboard. Now, I do understand that this particular keyboard may have just been defective since it didn't appear right when I received it and the outer sleeve kept coming off, but I'm not willing to pay another $25 to test out that theory. I just don't understand why they don't stand by their warranty on accessories. According to them, I can't even just purchase a replacement dongle, I have to buy a new keyboard to replace the keyboard that's under warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No manuals? It seems odd to me that on a $1200 computer you can't be bothered to include at least a quick set up card or basic instructions. I don't expect a full manual any more, but include at least some basic information. A laptop and plug in in a cardboard box and that's it?? Guess it will sit in the box until I can search on line for some info. Can't tell you anything else at this point

It is so small that you have to make sure that the pad of your finger is very near the top edge or it does not click and the worse part is the switch is so tiny that if I did not have nails I would not be able to push it up and down to open and close the mouse

So, when the a key started to go out on the original keyboard, I knew that I would on replace it with another HP keyboard. I found the Classic keyboard with the mouse on Ebay and got it within 2 days! Free shipping and all! I am a forever HP customer because they never let me down! Thanks again HP!

The keyboard has a nice feel and an aural feedback that you're "typing". The mouse is nice and small, fitting nicely into the palm of your hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very bare bones Pros: Inexpensive. Single USB connector for both keyboard and mouse. Mouse has on/off switch. RF USB connector seemed to work without an issue. Keyboard isn't too thick, which means you're wrists will have less fatigue than traditional older keyboards. Cons: Keyboard was warped slightly upward in the middle so when I pressed a key it gave way and made a noise as it contacted the desktop. Keys have no response which makes it hard to type; the only way you an guess that it worked is when you can't press any further on it. Keys have long travel for no response. Mouse is incredible small and not good for large hands. No lights on keyboard. Cursors keys are tight as this keyboard width is smaller than a normal sized one. Uses 2.4 GHz, which you Microwave can interfer with.

When the replacement order was placed HP neglected to include the wireless keyboard upgrade. So, I had to call and this wireless keyboard combo is what I received in it's place. I don't believe it is as good as the wireless keyboard combo that was shipped with the original order. The keys feel very stiff. I find myself having to hit keys twice to get the result I want. I don't like it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good and not so good. I ordered the keyboard and mouse as I didn't expect one with the desktop I ordered at the same time. The price was good. The mouse and keyboard were sent and delivered 4 days earlier than the desktop. When the entire system arrived, there was a wire keyboard, so this was not necessary. It was good in that one USB port drives both the keyboard and mouse. Don't be surprised if your numeric pad doesn't work. It is NOT the fault of the keyboard. Windows 10 has a setting called Use Mouse for numerics. You have to un-check the box in windows to have the numeric pad to work. The keyboard does feel cheap and the symbols on the extra keys are small and hard to distinguish.

It works great ....My only complaint is related to the wireless keyboard...The computer and keyboard worked perfectly for the first 12 months .. However, after using the wireless keyboard for only 14 months , the lettering on the keyboard wore off! Please note that this this problem was not caused by any kind of misuse. Trying to resolve the problem has cost me valuable time and money...Unfortunately when I informed HP about this issue, HP refused to accept any form of responsibily for the lettering problem.. I was told that HP would not honor my request for a relacement keyboard because my one year parts warranty had recently expired...( By the way, I've only owned this computer for 1 yr and 2 months)....Thus , if I wished to have lettering on a keyboard, I was told to buy a new one. Therefore, even though my wireless keyboard and mouse were both working perfectly, I felt compelled to purchased a new set... The new keyboard and mouse recently arrived but neither one will work until I download and install a new program to accomodate them....This requires an investment of more of my time .....Needless to say, This whole ordeal has been a real fiasco for me . HP should take more responsibility for their products.... Keyboard letters should not wear off after only 1 yr and 2 months of use. In my opinion, HP should have replaced the keyboard at no charge to me as part of their customer courtesy relations.. JB19

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Useless Product I had sporadic success with the mouse and keyboard - sometimes it worked fine and at other times I would use the keyboard and get no response. VERY FRUSTRATING. So, I went to HP troubleshooting and found that the transmitter (or dongle) has to be 30 cm (about 12 inches) or closer to the keyboard/mouse - WOW - that's bad and this was NOT mentioned in the Specifications before I purchased it. Since I'm using it with a tower on the floor next to my desk, I pretty much have to have the keyboard on the floor. Then, it works fine!! but it makes it a pretty much useless product. I could not get a refund since it took me more than 30 days to figure this out. A competitor's product has a 10 meter (or about 30 foot range) - much more realistic .

Rapid keystrokes faster than 50 words per minute do not always work. The system simply fails to pick up all the key strokes and mouse clicks. Repetitive clicks and excessive type correction are necessary.

I have been very disappointed and continue to grow increasingly frustrated. As I type, letters are missing, key strokes are dropped, and I have to back up constantly to fix errors. I frequently need to re-enter passwords and cannot write smoothly as I am accustomed to doing. Very frustrating.

Half the keys stick so I can't do anything with it. I am a gamer and when the keys stick and you can't figure out which one is sticking this time it's VERY frustrating. I used to like HP, but they have really gone down hill!!!!! Won't be wasting anymore of my money on HP. Please if you are thinking about this, reconsider, spend the 10/20 extra for a good keyboard!!!!!!!!!

The mouse is a "mini" version - you have to drag the heel of your hand all over the surface of the desk you are using it on, which is somewhat annoying. It seemed like it was sized for a 5 year old child. I couldn't get used to it, so opted back to a full size mouse.

But they came without any documentation that would explain you what are the 10 metallic-looking keys on both sides of the keyboard. Do I need to waste my precious time looking in Google what purpose have those keys? Are they only as ornaments for the keyboard to look prettier?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Frustrated typist! To include this poor performaning keyboard in a $1700. CPU package is a real bummer! There are no indicator lights to begin with. The space bar is poorly positioned for even smaller hands or thumbs to navigate. Constantly going back to correct missed spaces. I am, eeerr was, about a 100-120 word per minute typist. I am now nearly a one finger typist with the impact required on these keys and the delay between the screen and keyboard and the flat space bar. The keboard is slightly below and 17" from the CPU. Contributing factor is the low slant available from the board legs which requires that you hold your hands/fingers in a virtual vertical position. Very tiresome on the wrist and on right hand thumb. Also, keep your finger nails short! The wireless mouse - so far - has performed reasonably well - but I have been using these two items for only about 3 weeks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Product works poorly with HP Pavillons I bought the classic wireless classic desktop with my new HP Pavillon P7-1232. I thought I would remove wires from my desk. It just doesn't work well. The simple pictoral setup instructions that come with the computer are explicitly clear that wired mouse/keyboards shoulld be connected to the rear usb ports, but the adaptor for wireless keyboard/mouse should go in front usb slots. This is very clear. It doesn't work at all. I contacted HP - they said to put the wireless adaptor in the rear usb ports. When I do this the mouse works fair, but the keyboard poorly. If I repeated hit a key on the keyboard it eventually recognizes it - but it is horrendous. The keyboard is entirely unusable - although I admit it occasionally recognizes a letter now and then. Not usable by anyone who touch types. The mouse seems to learn its surface and stop responding to it - like it gets bored with the surface. I use a mouse pad and it works for a while - then stops. If I change mouse pads or go directly to desk it starts working again - then stops, until I change the surface underneath the mouse again. It seems they have built some type of artificial intelligence into the mouse driver to force me to change moused pads or desk top on a regular basis - and the change frequency is too short! Save yourself the frustration - I don't recommend this product at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst buy EVER The keyboard worked for less than a week, and I'm a photoshop guy, not a gamer, so I'm not even rough on my keyboard. I have never had a real desire to smash a piece of electronics until today. Even when it was working though, it had a horrible response time and usually wouldn't catch the first letter I typed. So far the mouse has worked fine though, but that's small consolation for such a poor keyboard.

The mouse frequently "freezes", and the keyboard space bar only works when pressed on the left side. I tried to get used to "banging" the keys, but the spacebar was a deal breaker. Issued a return within 2 hours of receiving this unit.

It costs twice as much as the similar Logitech model. It losts it's link to the computer the 2nd day I used it. Batteries were new. Would not recommend.

I did explain to HP Representatives and told them how unsatisfactory item was to be brand new. the did send a new item to replace and so far no problems and am satisfied.

BUT, because the keyboard and mouse are on an under desk drawer or maybe because the USB dongle is very low profile sometimes the input (whether keystroke or mouse click) doesn't register causing me to hit the key again or click the mouse again and sometimes it is like the dongle isn't plugged in. I think if the unit was used ON the top of the desk and my laptop was closer (I use a very large monitor plugged into the HDMI on my laptop so my laptop is about three feet away) I think I wouldn't have this problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wireless Keyboard Unresponsive After one week I ditched this wireless keyboard in favor of the original that came with my new computer because the keys simply do not respond to any rapid combination of typing. I was composing a quick three sentence email and realized that numerous letters and even words were simply missing because I type faster than the keyboard can process. (I am a good typist but not exceptionally fast.) Also there are no number or cap lock light indicators, you must apply slightly more pressure to the keys than a regular keyboard, and the angle is flatter than I prefer. I would send it back, but I like the mouse fine and it's worth about $20. I'll let my kids play with the keyboard.

I exchanged it and the second one lasted just over one day. Now it does not work at all. I Will return it as well. I will also go in another direction.

They have pictures under them. VERY difficult to see. Being computer "unliterate", is there a form that shows the keyboard, identifying these keys and what they are for? I don't understand why products don't come with manuals or information sheets to make their immediate use helpful. Please respond. Thanks.

But the worst is the mouse, I have tiny hands and this mouse is so small that 2 of my fingers hang off the edge causing drag. It is fine if I never want to move the mouse and only use the scroll wheel but trying to play any games is impossible.

The keyboard is very tough on the fingers (the keys are very stiff). This isn't one of HP's better efforts.

The Microsoft wireless keyboard & mouse that Wal-mart's warranty program sent as replacement when the origional quit working,does not perform like my origional HP products did.They stated they couldn't get HP replacement parts. Which is why I spent my own money to acquire HP replacements. But they have the same problem as the Microsoft keyboard did. I have to double,triple tap on certain keys to put what I want on the screen.It's a slight improvement over the Ms parts, but not what I expected fom HP. I know I'll never waste my money on extended warranties on items like this after what I went thru anytime soon!

The mouse works, but the keyboard has communication problems with the receiver. I am disappointed, because I always trusted the brand. I guess wireless technology is their weakness.

As for No, The ink on the keys wears off really quick on most used keys. No way to replace the lettering, frustrating. Slow to no response on some keys, especially space bar. I like this product because I trust it to work with my HP desktop. Others give me problems. How hard would it be for HP to actually fix these things and keep your reputation for great products? The only way to reconnect it was to remove batteries and replace them. New batteries did nothing to solve the problem. Received a replacement combo from HP with the same results-the keyboard would not stay connected. Sometimes it would only take 2 or 3 minutes of non-use of the keyboard before it would disconnect. Great HP service though. They quickly replaced malfunctioning keyboard, then quickly refunded my purchase when not satisfied.

I have to tap on a key several times before the chosen letter will appear and many times it stop working all together. As for the mouse, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. If it does work, after a while it will simply scroll aimlessly on its own. As I said, this Combo is very frustrating. I say, back to the drawing board HP.

No problems with performance . the only thing I can say , I would have preferred a light on cap locks and number lock, but that had nothing to do with performance of product. It took a little longer to get to my house but was worth the wait.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheaper than what you pay for It's hard to complain about the price, but both the keyboard and mouse have been choppy from the start, and the keyboard has only gotten worse. Keyboard keys seem to have about a 90% success rate, so if you play any computer games or even want to write more than a paragraph, you'd be better off spending the time you'd waste on deleting/rekeying everything you type on panhandling in the street for the extra $25 it would cost to buy a halfway decent Logitech keyboard and mouse. Both keyboard and mouse are uncomfortably small as well. This product is about as inexpensive as it gets, and has the functionality to match - would not recommend.

Mouse works great, keyboard wint stay connected to computer and requires battery removal to get it to reconnect. After calls to tech support, they sent me a replacement, same problems, actually worse. Hooked up to my big HP desktop computer and same problems. Not worth spending a dime for.

Unfortunately the mouse did not fully work. you could move it around but the rollerball in the middle did not work at all . instead of calling HP again, I just bought my self another one from Wal-Mart.

The mouse has quite and when I called support they can never seem to find the product with the numbers that are on it. I am stuck with a mouse that will not work. I am not very happy with the experience I have had with this product and I will never buy an HP product every again.

The mouse and keyboard was wonderful to me at the start, but as soon as I tried to play a game I have downloaded on my computer, I realized that i would never be able to play it with this keyboard. About half the keys I tap are not registered, making doing anything, including playing games, a pain. I do, however, love the mouse. I have had almost no problems thus far, and the ones that I have had are simply fixed by waiting a few moments. Overall, I would never suggest this to my friends, but I did get one thing good out of this terrible deal - A mouse I love.

I ordered this from HP on line and on sale. It came quickly and installed easily and it works! I love it. I haven't figured out the buttons on each side yet but when I research them I will add another star to the features.

I then have to open the battery cover and loosen a battery, then push it back in. Normally this restarts everything. There is no manual on this that tells much at all. The five singles command keys on the left, and the five on the right, do work when the product is connected. The left keys from top to bottom are My Computer, Browser Home page, email, calculator and windows search. On the right side it is play/pause, restart, increase volume, mute sound, and decrease volume. The play/pause and restart selection worked in iTunes. This is not worth the $30 or so. I bought this at Walmart. I wish I had taken it back the next day. I guess I am stuck for the $30. Very dissapointed with this purchase and surprised HP has their good name on this product. The dissapointment is sole from the disconnects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The side features are nice. The keyboard angle is not high enough for touch typing or fast typing. The keys require almost pounding to be sure they work. You have to watch closely because changes in key pressure or angle will end up with the key not registering or registering twice.

I contacted HP immediately and they offered a refund and told me to throw it in the trash. Judging by the other reviews, I see why.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome wireless keyboard and mouse set I got this wireless keyboard/mouse combo as part of a system purchase (a $10 upgrade from the standard wired option), and couldn't be happier. I have owned 2 wireless sets before, both made by Dell, the last one being a bluetooth. The setup was cumbersome, and very frequently the bluetooth recognition got lost w/o reason and you had to reset it. A great deal of frustration. After a while I stopped use it. This new HP set is way superior. The initial setup is effortless (just plug in the USB sensor and both keyboad and mouse are recognized in a few short seconds) The wireless connection is alwasy strong. The only issue I have is there is no indicator light when the CAPS key is on. You have to reply on a little icon on the desktop to remind you. I think HP should consider adding an indicator light on the keyboard. All in all, great product. HP did it again.

Seems to be more critical when entering username and password information where it doesn't want to seem to work very well.

I told the online HP sales associate, emphatically, NOT the LIGHTWEIGHT RATTLY-key junk you'd get at Walmart for $8. But that's exactly what this keyboard is. Aside from its total chintziness, it very very very frequently LOSES KEYSTROKES. The only good thing I can say about this product is, it "looks" like it would be decent. The mouse, by the way, is Logitech 325 size. (3/4 size). I like that, but the wheel is substandard both in feel and bumpy action. And the mouse lacks the side rubber. You can typically get the Logitech for $15. Surely $10 during black-friday sales. It's not worth my effort to return this insulting junk. But I should on principle. DO NOT BUY.

I change it using the warranty, but unfortunately the new one has the same problem. I ask them to upgrade for a good quality product with more payment but they refuse. Very low quality product

There is no light to know when my "Caps Lock" is on. I have always had this option on all of my HP keyboards and was very disappointed to find that it isn't on this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible Product Paired With Terrible Service This keyboard fails to connect to my computer via bluetooth all the time, and my mouse will work fine. When I get online and do all the troubleshooting, it still doesn't work. When I call HP customer support, I wait for over 49 minutes to speak to the first representative. At this point, not only would I not recommend this product to others. I would not recommend this brand. I'm typing from my laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great keyboard and mouse Upon receiving and plugging in the wireless remote I did have problems with letter skipping and mouse malfunction; until I realized plugging the receiver into the back of the tower made the signal have to pass through my speakers, the tower, printer and other electronic gadets I use with my PC. So, I plugged the receiver into a front port, of which I have 3, and BINGO; flawless operation. Sometimes you just have to move things around to get a good fit. A little common sense, which isn't common, will often resolve a less than perfect situation. At a time when money is short and my 6 year old wireless remote died, I bought an excellant replacement for a resonable and needed low price. Thank you HP, it's why I have always purchased your products only.

I bought this thinking HP would make a great wireless keyboard- NOT! This keyboard misses letters, constantly have to retype, mouse has a mind of its own jumps all over like its haunted, and is not very comfortable. If keyboard or mouse is not within 2 inches of the plugged in sensor, half the time it does not type correct words, (typed "sentences look like this" reads out like this- "sntnces lo lk his", and don't get me started on the problems with typing in passwords when they only view as black dots, NEVER come out right, constant "PASSWORD INCORRECT", sometimes sites stops accepting PW entries for 24 hrs! I like to put my keyboard on my lap in my chair, only 18" from the hp pavilion unit on top of my desk, in FULL view, no obstructions, and all I get is mistypes, missed letters, I turn it every way, tilt it, use every port, same lousy performance. ALSO, no little light on "caps light key" when caps on, so you never have any idea if its caps or not. DO NOT BUY THIS UNIT, if you get it free or as a gift, IMMEDIATELY toss it in trash, or use as boat anchor or for target practice. Stick with corded, or look for ANY OTHER cordless brand. VERY DISSATISFIED! I am typing this on a Microsoft corded.

I have a more expensive one that came with the touchsmart all-in-one computer and I do not have this concern. It would be an excellent keyboard if this issue was fixed, but it is difficult to use without it.

Thank goodness Ihavethe wried keyboard. This produect has significant problems that need to be addressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Marginal. Mouse is fine, but keyboard is spotty. Had to move all my peripherals because the wireless feature of the keyboard would not transmit with anything in the way. Right now I am typing with the keyboard on TOP of my desk because it will not talk to the USB unit if the keyboard is on the slide out keyboard shelf. I believe the transceiver is weak - but it is brand-new (one week old) and should work fine. Over two feet away and the keyboard is not wireless - it is useless. The mouse works fine.

The wireless connection looses sync constantly and just stops requiring the receiver to be removed and remounted. Doesn't matter which USB port used. It also seems to eat batteries. It feels cheap and the rounded base line is awful with a keyboard tray. Going to order a different set to replace it.

I didn't know why I had to re-type so much until I read the other reviews. The email button on the left side does not work. I can not find out how it might be fixed. The mouse is slow and inaccurate selecting. I need to back up and go back and forth to get the right location.

Typing in passwords and be rejected then going back to an area you can see the letters to see if the caps are on or off. I returned this keyboard and replaced it with the wired Classic.

In order to get the "@" result, I must strike the quote key( "), and vice versa. And the space bar is not particularly responsive. Also, there is no way to tell when the "Caps lock" is on. There is no light indicator and the instructions are virtually useless. If there's a way to correct this, kindly advise

The only downside is that the keys take an additional 50% of force to activate. I need to constantly check the typing to make sure all the keystrokes are there. I had to correct this comment twice.

I have to re-type texts on a regular basis. 3 out of 4 times I have problems logging on to my computer because the keyboard makes me mistype my password. I wonder if it is defective and I should return it or if it is just cheaply made.

I replaced the batteries that were provided with the keyboard and tried the USB sensor in various slots to see if it would correct the problem. I and still had to carefully and slowly depress keys to sometimes get it to work. I will be returning it for a refund.

I feel that when I type the letters or keys miss a connection some way.

If you accidentally hit the caps lock or num lock buttons, there are no lights to tell you that you have inadvertently hit those buttons. The wireless feature is nice and works a long distance from the computer. This replaced an HP keyboard that all the letters wore off and typing by sight was no longer an option for others who need to see the keys to type correctly.

The mouse was fine - although a little smaller than a standard size. But the keyboard is awful! It really feels like you are typing on an old mainframe keyboard. You have to push down way too hard to type and it makes a LOT of noise when you type. Definitely was not worth $30. The wired keyboard that came with the desktop is much nicer. The keys are quiet to press down - much slimmer. I liked the idea of the volume controls on this keyboard and the cut/paste keys - which is why I chose this one over the more expensive option. Bad call. I just returned this one.

Instructions were not clear that wireless to plug into USB was stored when packed inside mouse in battery compartment. After first using it did was then later not recognized after computer went to sleep mode. After re-installing and with pen firmly pressing buttons to connect first time it has worked fine and is still recognized to wake computer from sleep mode. Keyboard is comfortable but a little flimsy. Buttons on side of keyboard for mail, calculator, home, etc are handy.

The last four corded keyboards had all been fried due to sippy cups and or coffee that the little ones knocked over. Let me say, SOMEONE had their thinking caps on. Has anyone noticed that there are holes in this keyboard that allow liquid to go through without touching the electronics? Since i bought this one, it has been spilled on no less than four times and still works fine. I read reviews that claim that the wireless feature is spotty or stops working all together. I have had no trouble in this regard except for one or two times in needed to switch usb ports, but lets face it, this item retails for less than $30 bucks, what can one expect? Also, the keys are very quiet, range is good and program functions are fine. Overall, great product for the price i needed and i would and will buy one again as soon as my kids do this one in if they ever do. Good job hp, now start making them in the united states and you will have a customer forever.

First off let me start off with the blatant issue with the keyboard; there is no numlock or caps lock light, nor is there a heads up display on your screen showing if you have caps or numlock on or not. Secondly the keyboard is stiff and feels chintzy. The keys commonly miss strokes, especially if you have double letter words. The mouse is incredibly small and difficult to use if you have larger hands. All in all it was not my best choice. I will be returning the item today.

It is so bad, I switched back to the corded keyboard that came with the computer (that I am now using, with no problems, to type this review).

I type 63 words a minute with less than 2 errors - - - very fast because at age 16 in high school I learned to type on old type writers & to never look at the key board. I called HP Tech Dept & learned reason for my errors with this WIRELESS keyboard is because the " response frequency " is SLOWER with WIRELESS keyboards vs WIRED KEYBOARDS. When I spilled coffee on my old wired keyboard & called HP SALES the gal said I would love WIRELESS - - she is wrong - - Takes me 2 tries to sign in to my PC now because I have to REMEMBER to SLOW DOWN ALOT with wireless. Waiting for my new WIRED KEYBOARD to arrive because the WIRELESS WILL be returned soon or given to Good Will. fs

Often it is the first keystroke following a pause that is missed. The mouse is a bit small for my hand (I am 6'3" and 290 pounds). But I am getting used to it.

I usually work on my laptop with it on my lap, so there wasn't really a place to put either the keyboard or mouse. Since I had been talked into buying it instead of getting my laptop repaired--which was what I wanted from the beginning--it was also annoying to have to try to use it at all. The keyboard and mouse work fine if that's what you want, but for me, it wasn't. I am getting the computer repaired, finally, so I'm not sure what I'll do with this. Just put it back in the box and keep it until I might have a use for it someday, I suppose.

I buy wireless keyboards/mice so I can have a 10-key pad for ease since my work-issued laptop does not have one built-in and I use it often. This is the worst cheap keyboard/mouse combo I've ever bought. I decided to buy this HP set because it's what was available at Walmart at the time (they usually have the Logitech set that I like, but they did not have it at the time, so I settled for HP) and did not want to make a special trip to Best Buy. I'm using my work-issued laptop to write this review because the HP keyboard can't seem to pick up a signal from the USB from less than a foot away. Also, I am a small woman and the mouse in this set is awkwardly tiny even for my hands. Thank you. - EP

Sometimes if I have my computer on and don't touch my keyboard for a while, when I finally try to use it it doesn't work at all. For example I'd press a letter and then it would do something completely different than type a letter, like open a new tab on my browser. And then the mouse would be very off too. If I clicked on a link it would save a webpage file instead of opening it. I've had many more problems than this with this product. I don't know if it has something to do with my computer but my computer did not do this before I started using this keyboard and mouse. Right now the mouse won't even turn on. Luckily my computer (HP TouchSmart 310) is touchscreen so I'm still able to use my computer. The wireless keyboard and mouse that came with my computer were great but sadly accidents happened and they broke. I figured that this keyboard and mouse would be pretty much the same as the ones I originally had but they are not. The mouse is identical but a little small and the keyboard design just isn't as smooth as the old one. I think I'm going to return this because it's frustrating.

I would scroll the mouse wheel and it would go the direction I wanted and then would back the other way. I tried new batteries and the reset buttons on the keyboard and mouse to no avail. I didn't find the warranty on it tho.

My hands are very shaky so I love being able to use the side buttons to copy/cut and paste, turn the volume up and down or completely off, etc.... I won't buy (or use) a different keyboard + mouse.

I would have rated it higher if it had a Cap Lock and Num Lock indicator light on the keyboard!...But that's a hard thing to find on any brand keyboard anymore unless you want to shell out big bucks! Both Keyboard and Mouse have good response and are plug-n-play! But I have went through two of these as the Keyboards lasted me only about a year and then start having key issues!...But never had any Mouse issues!...... And also the batteries in them really last a long time before needing replaced! But still a great combo set for the money and highly recommend and it is a HP....So how can you go wrong! Thanx HP for great products and pricing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for the $$$ ! I purchased two of these keyboard combos. I'm currently in college and cannot afford to lose functionality with my current HP computer. One thing to note with this keyboard, it does NOT have a soft touch. If that is important to you, this is not the keyboard and mouse set for you. The keys are stiff and you can strike them with a firm touch and they still respond. Glad I bought this set; when this set is worn out, I have another waiting in the closet!!

After about a week, the keyboard started doubling up on letters. I found myself having to retype most of everything I was working on. I ended up plugging my old keyboard back in.

I ordered this keyboard and I lose connectivity all the time. Even typing this review I had to reset the keyboard. I would not recommend this keyboard. Very upsetting that HP has such poor quality.

I bought this so it's easier for her to use and type on regular keyboard. I like it because it's wireless so no hassle for cords coiling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor performance from wireless KB and mouse I am a hunt and peck typist never exceeding about 20 words per minute but this keyboard can't seem to keep up. I have to go back and retype at least 4 or 5 missing letters or spaces for every 12 or so words I type. There seem to be some non-letter keys like arrows, Delete, Insert, etc that are particularly non-responsive unless I strike them 4 or 5 times. I have tried resetting the keyboard several times. My keyboard 3 feet to the left of my PC tower. Granted the keyboard and mouse were inexpensive but, even at that I don't think I got my money's worth.

The numbers will just stop working sometime (not bc number lock is off) and I constantly have to re-establish the Bluetooth connection between the keyboard and receiver. If HP made it east to return, I would, but I'll eat the $22 and spend a lil more for a more quality product next time.

I am disappointed in the Mouse though, I owned the same Keyboard/Mouse combo previously, and the old Mouse has a rubber inlaid for good grip. The Mouse received this time is just a smooth plastic, thus fatigues my hand. So I am using my old Mouse.

That mouse is incredibly fast as well; no sluggishness whatsoever... it took me a minute to adjust as I was zooming all over the place! The keyboard is nicely responsive as well, and I expect nothing less from HP, which is my company of choice for computer products and accessories.

Is not too smooth at the time of writing. Also the keyword came with too letters “z”, thankfully it was programed perfectly (not issue there, but visually is annoying). The mouse in the other is pretty good.

I was disappointed. the Keyboard is not comfortable, the photos on the webpage do not clarify the design of the keyboard. I prefer the more square/boxey keyboard, and the firmer key touch. I tried to return it the day I received it, and was unable to, it was a clearance Item. I will try to find someone that likes the more rounded design, and give it to them. Loss of $22.00.

I decided to purchase an HP keyboard, as I figured that it would be the most capable of communicating with the HP computer. Most of the time it does. However, there are several times when it just simply stops working and I have to wait before I can begin typing again. I have even replaced batteries but end up with the same results. Kind of frustrating considering how new it is.

However upon unboxing the package, I noticed that the wireless module was missing ,without which the items were unusable. Within hours of my reporting the missing link, I received a response from HP followed by a complete replacement of the entire package which is now working fine. Thanks HP for your excellent service which allowed me to complete my project without an extended delay. I will look nowhere else for my next purchase if it can be obtained from HP.

A letter will drop out every once in a while and you don't pick it up until the paper is being proofed. Not the same letter but any letter. In re-reading this review I had to add 6 letters that were dropped. Just a waste of money.

I loved the wireless so much so I decided to upgrade my wife's old PC to a wireless mouse and wireless keyboard. She hates change so the slick modern one that accompanied my PC was not for her. But the HP Wireless Classic Desktop was very similar to her old ones. so, she loves it. When mamas happy, everybodys happy!

Mouse and keyboard are as responsive as any other I’ve used. Material is mostly hard plastic and the keys are not soft touch, but I expected that because of the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keyboard distance is a problem Tested the keyboard on a computer that was sitting off to the side and the backspace was not working. Then tested on a Mac and looked to work okay until the angle was changed. Then it stopped working. Then went back to the Surface that was meant for and tested the same behavior and it only works when the USB transmitter is right in front of the keyboard. The mouse had no issues. This makes the keyboard useless since the intention was to use it with an extended display. Now need to buy a new keyboard and mouse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wireless classic desktop I just received my new keyboard and mouse, both were easy to install, but the information I received with the products did little to help me know what all the items on each side of the keyboard were and how to use them. In response to one of the next questions( I want to give my reasoning) No I would not recommend this product, why because there are no instructions available to help a person use the product properly! I have always liked HP's products but this lack of information leaves on scratching there head to figure out what everything is, I even went online to see if I could get more info, and low and behold the answer was NO all I saw was a picture of the keyboard and not information about the toggles or whatever they call the things on the outer side of the keyboard.

Making it more likely that you will have issues with any passwords/pins. And while this combo has batteries included, the keyboard I received had it's batteries corroded. Causing some connectivity issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mouse is just OK, keyboard is a piece of junk! The keyboard looks attractive and that's where it ends unfortunately. The keyboard feels really cheap and the keys stick. The space-bar works about 30% of the time no matter how hard you push it. I bought this for my son to start his online schooling program and I need to go out and replace it after one week of total frustration. It's not user error. The keys and ESPECIALLY the space-bar do not work properly. You'll see the same thing on all the lower reviews of this keyboard. I'm not sure how it's getting 5-star reviews. Save yourself the aggravation and get a different keyboard.

I'm used to the Dell RT7D30, which has great feel and nice features. I just ordered another one and will put the HP on the shelf. The remote capability is fine.

I would have rated it higher if it had a Cap Lock and Numeral Lock indicator light on the keyboard!...But that's a hard thing to find on any brand keyboard anymore unless you want to shell out big bucks! Both Keyboard and Mouse have good response and are plug-n-play! But I have went through two of these as the Keyboards lasted me only about a year and then start having key issues!...But never had any Mouse issues!...... And also the batteries in them really last a long time before needing replaced! But still a great combo set for the money and highly recommend and it is a HP....So how can you go wrong! Staples delivers their paper fast than that. Then when I received the product, though packaged efficiently, was faulty before I could use it. The mouse melted the batteries in a matter of minutes and the key board worked for a few days and now does not work either. Maybe I just had a bad order, but when customer service can't answer your question, you order a new one, the new one breaks, customer service again can't answer your question and just end up ordering you a new one again- you can't help but feel a bit frustrated.

It was too fast and I immediately had to reduce the mouse speed to almost the lowest setting. I'm still getting used to the play buttons on the side of the keyboard and I'm looking forward to using those more. So far I'm loving it.

The positive reviews I see for these BAFFLE ME. They must be paid endorsements, as this keyboard is pretty much the worst keyboard I purchased/used in 20 years of working in IT... ...It is not often users will beg me to give me back their Wired keyboards after providing them the Wireless type the requested - not so with this keyboard! Each keystroke feels like the key is going to pop off, often keystrokes go unregistered by the system, and the keys have very little resistance, making accidental keystrokes far too easy. The 5 users I have given these two all have given them back except for one user who HAS to have a wireless keyboard. The mouse is fine. Not great, but not bad. But the Keyboard is atrocious

I purchased the wireless combo for ethics, and easy use, the keyboard is not bad, its light weight has some interesting shortcut keys, and neither was hard to hook up, however keyboard does not have Capslock or Numlock light which is use full, keyboard design as far as looks good be better, and upon 1st use of the mouse the wheel has never scrolled, it's like stuck, and not smooth to turn. I have had it for about 4 days but just opened it yesterday and will probably be sending it back or exchanging to hopefully get one that is not defected.

Packing or reference should chart the shiny side buttons. I will figure them out - but just a suggestion. Now, perhaps I can type out my life history for my kids/grandkids.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible Product When opening a new office, I bought a bunch of these along with several desktops as Hp told me it was a great product and I wouldn't be disappointed. Every single person in the office has complained about this product, saying that the computer doesn't register key strokes and the keyboard randomly drops in and out. It is completely unreliable. My mouse didn't work at all and made it impossible to accurately click on anything on the screen. The mouse itself is incredibly small and very uncomfortable. I am very disappointed in this product, and Hp hasn't done anything to work with me on this. Not even an exchange for a better product. The only thing they will do is transfer me to a bunch of different people within the company, and then finally tell me that the only thing they can do to help is send me over to the service desk to troubleshoot the problem. The product DOESN'T WORK. How am I supposed to work with you online to fix it when the mouse doesn't navigate the screen and keyboard doesn't connect in the first place? I am very frustrated with this product and Hp. They shouldn't be able to sell it.

Left side is fine, middle is fine, but far right means the keyboard does't move. Removed the key to be sure it didn't just need a cleaning, but the problem persists.

It does't work at all and I spent some time on my vacation trying to get it to work. The keyboard however works fine, I'm typing with it right now. It is a hassle to send back and I will eat it. I use windows 7 home edition. If you send me a mouse that works, I will consider buying from you again.

Tech support couldn't help. I'm a long time HP customer and will continue to be one but I wouldn't buy this product again.

The keyboard does sound a little "clunky" when I type, but overall, I very much like the feel and functionality of this keyboard. The mouse works fine and is comfortable.

I can touch type, but it's a PITA to have a keyboard with no printing left on it except the keys not used. Why won't you fix this problem?? I'm going to try a paint market next. this is at least the 5th replacement keyboard for a 5-yr-old computer. I know it's planned obsolescence, but it's sure a HUGE NUISANCE.

It has a palm rest and I really like the volume buttons on the right side of the keyboard (I wear a headset and transcribe medical reports so easily adjusting the volume is great). The keys do not make too loud of a click when typing either.

I kept pressing the key repeatedly before I could get a response. A lot of my work is data entry and speed and accuracy is important. I would not recommend this. Maybe it was fluke with this particular keyboard. I'm going to by a Logitech I have never had a problem with those.

The feel is very good and you know when you have clicked a key. The mouse is very responsive and is a great size for a laptop. I also use it with my desktop.
