Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent output and works with MacOS! Purchased this printer after returning a M553dn that just wouldn't work with MacOS 10.14.5 over ethernet. This printer has the same high quality output, but was a completely different unboxing and set-up experience. Used my iPhone to set up the printer and it was wirelessly connected to our local WiFi in just a couple of minutes. Configured the printer on both our MacBooks and we were printing immediately. A completely opposite experience from the M533DN, which leads to some observations.HP could do a better job of explaining their printers' features. A "d" suffix on a printer model means the printer can print double sided (duplex). A "n" means the printer can be connected to an ethernet network via an RJ45/Cat5/6 cable and be accessed with HP JetDirect. A "w" means the printer can wirelessly connect to a Wifi network. This all matters why?For MacOS users, it's likely the ethernet/JetDirect drivers supplied by Apple won't work. It certainly didn't work for me with the M553dn. However, the wireless connection supported by the M254dw uses the AirPrint device drivers and those drivers work quietly nicely for me.So MacOS users, look for HP printers that end with a "w." Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy set up, works great! I bought this a month or two ago. Set up was so great. Use the CD and up and running in just a couple minutes. Nothing tricky to do. Just as a printer set up should be. Printed a few pages and they were GREAT! Very happy with the results. My first photo needed an adjustment on the type of paper I used. After that minor change, they printed great! Very nice product! And, the price was extremely low. Great deal, great product! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wireless failed after less than 1 month. Wireless quit working almost immediately. We'll see how quickly this gets resolved.... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Print eventually got a washed out faded look I bought this about a year ago and the software, features, and layout are off the chart. Gradually the print deteriorated and estimates to fix (just after the warranty ran out) were cost prohibitive. This is the second HP color laser that did this. So I am switching to Xerox to pursue longer lasting quality and will sacrifice the features and user friendly interface.
