Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2 of 3 DOA, no support, not business ready! We bought 3 elitebooks (g7). One failed to come up after the first reboot. Another failed after windows updates and a few reboots, a few days later. We cheerfully called HP support (12/17) for NBD on-site, and learned that this is no longer included with the elite class notebooks. So, we up-lifted support on one to the NBD on-site carepack. ...this took a full week for HP to connect the dots to activate the care pack (12/25). We called (12/27) to inquire status and schedule the onsite, and were told "we don't have parts in-stock, and they will not be here until ...maybe 5 january, or maybe early April". WHAAT?!! We have tried every possible option to escalate this issue and get support. The last was, through the escalation teams, "The part should arrive on Jan4-5, and the tech will call you to schedule the visit." Well, it's Jan 6, and still no news. (And we've been pinging and hearing back from the escalation team daily). Meanwhile, the other system, without NBD on-site: we shipped it to HP. It was received 12/29. The repair depot portal still says "estimated delivery date: Jan 1"... but we still haven't heard anything. We called to inquire about the status of the 2nd system, and were told "we will inquire with the repair depot, but we don't have a direct line, so we won't hear back until tomorrow. Call us tomorrow." How the...?!! Business class?!! This is soooo terrible! We are so sorry that we switched to HP. ...time to switch to someone who will support their products!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not Great 7 days in to ownership - Sound/Speakers are faulty on one side and sounds like its playing through a pringles tin rather than 'Bang & Olufsen' speakers, Mic intermittently cuts out making teams calls a joke. There is also a very strange interference noise coming from the graphics. It's getting returned, hopefully just a one off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null I got a HP Elitebook 840 G6 for work. Our IT staff couldn't get the speakers to turn on after hours of trying. They gave me a different laptop (same model). Both of the screen brightness buttons doesn't work. I gave up and just use it as it. Where is the quality control?

The experience working with HP Resolution Department has been difficult to say the least. Too many layers in the dept., call wait times are over an hour, and I have not had a response to my email sent 12/10/20. Very disappointed with HP - will not recommend in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Laptop fine but no operating system System purchased paid for word office which was not sent; no link provided had to call Microsoft who said it was HP 's problem and that "they sold you an obsolete version." HP provided operating system, downloaded it, and now Microsoft says it will expire and have to buy subscription. The HP purchase price for Microsoft was 229 dollars.
