Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent hub - really quick to set up, and use Very quick and easy to set up. I use it to drive a 4K monitor, with my work laptop and my personal Spectre x360. It charges the laptops, and connects all the USB devices I want to use with them, using one simple connector.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not so great I used to have a docking stations from HP in which you simply "dropped" the laptop into the portals, but this device doesn't work as well. Every time I do something as easy as open my lap top, or turn my computer on, I have to reconfigure the display settings. Sometimes one of my screens goes randomly blank. My employer supplied this device but I've advised them to find a better product. It literally wastes time every day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do not purchase The absolute most frustrating piece of equipment ever invented. Works correctly 10% of the time, doesn't work at all 80% of the time and 10% of the time you can crack the code of the exact second to plug in your HP docking station into your HP computer with your HP monitors.... you may get lucky and not waste the first 30 mins of the day trying to make your monitors work. Then good luck getting someone to help troubleshoot it and forget about getting someone to help you process a return for an overpriced paperweight.

Who product tested this and said "yeah, that's what people want...") using the HDMI and DP outputs. Also will randomly turn the one monitor off because... yeah, why not?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely buy Easy to set up. Everything worked on the first try. Just had to adjust screens once on. I have wireless mouse and keyboard plugged into (USB) the dock too. No issues there. I run two configurations, both with two external monitors. I sometimes use the laptop(HP Spectre) for a third display or I keep the laptop closed and just use the two external monitors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This dock may not work with your laptop After extensive texting with an HP Associate who assured me this would work with my laptop it does not. Spent about 1 hour with HP prior to purchase and then another hour with support to find out it was as I suspected the docking station would not work with the Elitebook G5. So I'm now waiting on my office to get me a new laptop and will try again later.

I tried it with a single screen setup for a while and decided to add a second screen and everything worked great right from the start. I also have my usb for my keyboard plugged in and it works great. I'm using 2 - 24" BenQ monitors and the wireless comfort keyboard 5050.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works fine with PC, questionable with newest Apple silicon processors. Was using this for my 15" HP spectre for so long without an issue other than lack of USB-c ports. However recently switching to Macbook Air M2 and there's flickering and intermittent black screens. Tried different HDMI and DP cables but isolated issue down to the dock. The issue doesn't continue when used my normal Anker portable hub.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Dock but Won't Shut-off Doesn't shut off either by pushing he button or shutting down the computer and therefore anything pulled directly in stay running such as my external harddrive. I have an HP dock at work which when I shut down my computer it shuts down and then when I turn on the dock, my computer and system turns on. Not sure why this isn't doing the same thing.

HP should add the Dev One device to compatible products list. Also works great with my Apple Macbook Pro M2 Chip.

Using the docking station with a Lenovo ThinkPad X1, a HP Elite laptop, two Dell monitors, a Razor Kiyo Pro and Logi headset, and it is a seamless plug in and use experience. I'm not giving 5 stars as the standard USB-C cable would be better placed on the back side from my point of view to keep the desk free of cable clutter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from USB-C Dock G5 not compatible with HP Pavilion I previously ordered a different model docking station that didn't work so I contacted HP for the USB-C Dock G5 and was informed it would work with the HP Pavilion, - it of course did not, could not get the monitors to display. You should know your products!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall great Convenient, sleek, compact and well-equipped with ports, the HP USB-C Dock G5 is a great dock for port-poor laptops and multi-device desk setups for any professional. It's not the cheapest dock out there, but still more affordable than some similarly decked docks, so will be a good pro option for both PC and Mac users.
