Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely and completely inadequate as a USB C laptop displayThis USB C monitor has all the ports I needed, and looks understated and sleek. Then, I noticed that it wasn't charging my laptop. The maximum power it can deliver from its bottom USB C port is 15 Watts. (you have to download the datasheet to find this out) This is not sufficient to be a one-cable solution for a laptop. Minor disappointment in that it doesn't ship with a USB C to C cable.Additional disappointment that USB-C video is off by default (requires enabling a Performance power mode).Yet further disappointment that it nags you to utilize an HP-certified USB C cable when you plug in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst Customer Service EVERTalk about the worst customer service for a sub-par monitor. Power cables are a thing that can get lost, and it happened when our company switched offices this past week. I wanted to be nice and find the cable for our coworker and thought - HP has to be a decent company with decent customer service; the bar is low. However, what happened was nothing short of terrible! First, the part was offered at $112.39 + shipping; shipping being extra was expected, but for an unregulated power cord to be over $100 is insane. Also, what customer service is this that you charge roughly more than 33% of the purchase price of a product for the power cord alone? It gets worse - when I posted a link to a cable that costs $12.24 (including shipping), the responses became even more laughable - "The price of this part is related to your device; however, we can assure you that the part has multiple advantages for your device performance. Also, the part is completely covered by a one-year warranty." I'm an electrical engineer - your power cord doesn't offer any advantages! If you want to detail the shielding that is different, great, and are you using stranded wire? Also, what is the tinning you are doing at the end of your wire to connect to the connector? You aren't offering any advantages that statistically improve performance! After posting a link to the 3rd party power cord - https://www.ebay.com/i/401449976144?chn=ps, the replies got much worse!"I understand (redacted)... However If you place the order with me right now I can offer you a 10% discount." (more frustrated conversation by me) "the price will be 101.15." But then, the final offer: "and what about 15% off, price is: 96.09."My reply says it all: "It's laughable that you think, when I gave you a link to a power cord at $12.24 that you think 96.09 is even close. This isn't customer service by HP, it's literal robbery."
