Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good so far. Computer is all that I was expecting. Works well with smaller assemblies in my 3D modeling software. Fan is a bit noisy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Read the fine print Make sure you pay attention to the numbers at the bottom of the specs. This laptop does not even have a fingerprint sensor. The numbers at the bottom 18, 19 etc.. Fingerprint sensor optional. $2200 for a laptop that should have all the bells and whistles. I bought gen 4 Studio's for $800 that are way nicer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful I bought this because my 15t was about five years old and seemed to be getting a little slow, particularly for photo and video editing and it required a green-screen for zoom background. I also use a program for work that is quite slow on the 15t, but benefits from the good GPU. It makes the program usable. The Nvidia Quadro is quite powerful and works well for these applications. It also has the Intel GPU, but I don't see that in use as much. I had 24Gb of memory on my 15t and thought 16Gb on the ZBook might be insufficient. However, I haven't seen memory usage above 50-60% most of the time, It may be the GPU memory makes up for it extra since it has 4Gb dedicated and 8Gb shared GPU memory. Most of the time the fan doesn't run, but when it does, it's fairly noisy. It runs when I'm using a lot of CPU or GPU. When it idles without the fan running, the bottom surface is 110-115 degrees farenheit, pretty warm for a lap. It has 12 CPUs and the fan comes on when lots are in use. That's four more my 15t had and they're more powerful. The version of Windows 10 allows setting group policy that prohibits automatic updates. It's quite disconcerting to have an overnight job running and then discovering M$ has decided to update the OS and killed the job to reboot and good to be able to override that, something you can't do on Windows Home. I do wish it would notify you when an update is available so it's not necessary to check manually. HP Sure Click is an exception to this and installs without asking and then wants to reboot. At least it asks before doing it. HP Sure Click is interesting. I have it turned on since it claims to prevent certain exploits like Wannacry, but I don't know. It opens the Adobe pdf viewer in a separate process for each document and says it is protecting the system. That's good, though I have a list of modifications I make to the pdf viewer to prevent this sort of problem. It has a browser based on Chrome that is supposed to be more secure. HP says Sure Click is not a sandbox because it works at a lower level that can't be bypassed like sandboxing. I left a message on the HP forum asking about my Sure Click install and after a couple of weeks have still not gotten any response from them. I like the HDMI port and I'm running a 4k monitor which works well. It doesn't have a hardwired ethernet, but I have an adapter on one of the USBC ports. It doesn't charge with the USBC port so I had to buy another 150w power supply to have a spare. It typically runs about 20-25w doing normal browsing and editing, which is about 1/2 kwh/day. The privacy screen might be helpful on a plane, but it doesn't prevent your seatmate from seeing your screen. The intensity must be quite low or it's still quite visible from the side. When it's turned on it's very difficult to see the screen from the normal position because it decreases brightness greatly. It is NOT a touchscreen. Apparently the two are incompatible and HP chose to put the privacy screen on this model. I would prefer the touch screen after seeing the poor quality of the privacy. They seem to be about the same price, so I'd definitely pick touch over privacy in that case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good The HP technical and sales teams both helped me select this laptop as a good balance between capabilities and price. I'm an architect and needed to be able to run several heavy programs at the same time including AutoCAD, Rhino, Photoshop, etc but could not completely break the bank on the purchase. So far so good. Everything seems to be running smoothly from what I can tell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice laptop so far Only used the ZBook a few days. Had a pro book before. All is good except they eliminated the insert key and replaced it with phone keys I will likely never use. Otherwise is a nice laptop

Rated 5 out of 5 by from touchpad has issues SO I love many things about my new zbook, but there is one VERY annoying feature. My old HP had left and right mouse click buttons under the touchpad. this one does not. it often mistakes a left click for a right one and visa verse or does not register a click. Its super annoying. VERY BAD engineering decision choice on the part of HP to eliminate these buttons!
