Great cable, better convenience
I bought my K-lock cable a month ago because I was heading off to school and I knew I needed one, but the convenience of being able to buy it with and have it ship along with my laptop was great. Its not expensive and is well worth it and actually one on the better K-lock cables you could get, because of the fact that its a limitless rotating cable.

Something you definetely need in a professional laptop. Especially if handling HIPAA. Looks professional too. Not a 100% foolproof for security but should be considered whether in the office or you're mobile. No keys needed which makes it a plus.

Convenient theft deterrent
As advertised, it locks electronic things to various size immovable objects. Make sure to pick up a 'security base' to install if you don't have any large objects with a loop to run the cable through.

Kensington Combination Cable Lock
Cable is of adequate length and easily attaches to my laptop. The combination is easy to put in; the dials are the jut the right size. It is also easy to change to the code if desired. The cable attachment point swivels around the the actual lock so you can move around the laptop and still have the lock in an easy position to re-enter the combination and unlock. Most importantly, it easily stows away for travel.
