I am still figuring how to to get rhe best picture out of it as it is an ips display. By no means was I dissatisfied with the purchase. Shipping was handled very well (during Covid19) and I recommend buying from lenovo to my friends for that reason.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great 4K IPS Monitor Value This is a great 4K IPS monitor for the price. Colors and viewing angles are indistinguishable from more expensive IPS monitors for most use cases. It runs 4k 60hz with the included hdmi cable. Only downside is the short, non adjustable stand. It does have VESA mounts for use with a monitor arm.

While it has limited inputs (one HDMI and one DisplayPort, I think it provides a decent value. It's primarily connected (HDMI) to my old Lenovo desktop (4K@30Hz) but I also use it with my Macbook Pro with a USB-C to HDMI adapter (4K@60Hz).

They are very easy on the eyes for me, a hard core developer. Refresh rate of 60hz is plenty for me as a casual gamer. I like its thin bezel. I brought 2, they are perfect right next to each other.

She is an artist and uses photo references for her paintings. So I didn't care about refresh rates, but I did care about was resolution and color. This fit the bill with 10 bit color with 1.07 billion colors and 4k resolution. She's upgrading from 16.7 million colors and 2k so this was a great improvement. Other monitors with similar specs were going for about double this monitor. Sure they came with more bells ans whistles like USB C and more connections, but we didn't need any of those, just a displayport/hdmi connection and great fidelity pictures.

I think the construction feels a little fragile but I haven’t had any problems yet. Also, the monitor is great for the price. It just doesn’t have an adjustable stand.

Blue/Green colors are a little off when compared to my laptop display but not much of an issue for day to day use. Lack of height adjustment is a negative, but it can be overcome using a VESA mount which costs extra.

The colors and brightness were excellent. the problem is it does not support 4k 60HZ but only 30 HZ were available. I dont know this problem is from my PC or from the screen. Also the stand is not adjustable and it is very low. I returned it because 4k is too much small for productivity. so I bought 27 inch 2k which is great.

One star deducted for the quarter inch "this is not the bezel" black border around the display area of the screen - the plastic bezel might be "ultra thin" but the display area doesn't extend to the plastic bezel.

My primary usage is for coding so I can't speak to the color accuracy. The only reason I took one star off is the stand is pretty flimsy/lightweight and there is only one HDMI and one DP port on the back. Would be SO much better if there was at least 2 HDMI so I could utilize different sources. But for the price, it still can't be beat. One note, I am using this on a MacBook Pro 2018 and was only able to get 4k at 60hz on a DisplayPort -> USB-C cable. I only could get 30hz using the included (or my own) HDMI. So if you're looking to get 60hz from the monitor factor in another $20 for the DP cable (since they don't include one).

Only drawback is that the stand isn't the greatest. It's not able to adjust for height and also not the most stable. The monitor shakes very easily. 1 HDMI port has created some hassle switching connections but if you only need it for one device, it shouldn't be an issue.

Small issues that I have are these: - The monitor does not have a USB C input port. The only input ports are HDMI and Display Port. I'm using a MacBook Pro, and it only has USB C ports, so have had to use a dongle. - The monitor is not height adjustable. This is something I should have read through before the purchase. It's an issue when I want to switch from sitting to standing, while working. Especially so because my other monitor is a Lenovo P27, which IS height adjustable. Good color quality, 4k is great to have, even though it makes text look tiny (I'm running it at 1440p because of that)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superior quality in its class I already own a L27q-10 27 from Lenovo and it has worked great for me. Having used it for over a year, it has been a very reliable monitor surpassing my requirements for digital design work, periodic gaming and impressive quality for its price. With things moving to a more remote operating, I wanted to purchase a second one to increase my productivity working from home. I was disappointed to find that the L27q had been removed from markets, so I started to look for a matching version and found the L28u-30. I was able to grab it for the same price as the L27q which was a pleasant surprise since the L27q was 2K at 27" and the L28u is 4K at 28". During my time with it, it has matched the quality I received from the L27q. What type of users do I recommend this monitor for? As I said previously, I do a lot of digital design and architecture design as a student. The Monitor has been perfect for these uses. The crisp lines and broad color range is perfect for others in a similar field. The wide viewing angle is also nice when showing others my screen. Concerning eyestrain, even with the bluelight option off I have experienced no eyestrain issues. I guess that also depends on the person, but as a student who works long hours on my computer, I have experienced no issues. I mentioned gaming, I am by no means a fella who is picky about framerates or response times so I would not be a good critique on this topic. However, if you enjoy "casual" gaming, I do not believe that you will notice any issues either. Overall, my experiences with Lenovo monitors gives me confidence I will be getting quality at a great price. So far, this product has proven that correct again. With this monitor at 4K and only ~$250 (price at purchase, it is an exceptional deal for the quality, resolution and 28" size. This monitor experience makes me happy to give this product and Lenovo another 5 stars.

Beautiful screen, only one small LED on the bottom right, not enough to interfere with enjoyment of the screen. Negative?: The sacrifice made is in the weight of the stand. The monitor is wobbly when using short mouse motions, but in my experience was never in danger of tipping - it was just annoying. For me, it was 100% worth buying the screen, and waiting to buy a better monitor stand afterwards for customization.

Other than that considering the price I paid I think the value is good. I use it for work, browsing and picture editing. One was yellowish, the other was blueish. Also tried swapping the cables, etc. (And returning them took 5 phone calls/chats with Lenovo customer support).

It can have a 60 Hz refresh rate if you use HDMI 2.0. But the con is if your desk is not quite stable, the monitor will shake strongly. The bracket is the only drawback of this product. I will recommend this monitor overall for its quality and reasonable price.

Not sure I would buy it for an 8 hour/day monitor. Would need to see it under better lighting conditions. I'm using it for a basement workbench driven by a Raspberry pi 4. Not as easy as it should be to get the Raspberry pi 4 to drive it at 4k 60 hz, but that seems to be the pi's fault. IMHO 28" is a bit small for 4k. Text on my 27" 2550x1440 monitor is easier on my > 50 year old eyes. I have not spent much time on scaling things at 4k.

It's a 4k IPS monitor for $200, what more can anybody want? It took me about a month, and a few returns to be satisfied. At the end I've settled on this Lenovo L28u to compliment my brand new G5 Odyssey. Very happy with it so far. Would recommend.

I have a display port 1.4 cable, my GPU supports 4K at 60hz, I've even updated the driver for the monitor; there is nothing that should be preventing me from getting the described resolution and refresh rate - so obviously this monitor has been falsely advertised. Even the manual falsely states the native resolution is 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz - which is a lie. I've contacted support and received no response. At least I can prevent other people from getting scammed.

Then, both the HDMI and power cables stop working within two days of usage. I tried to compare the color of this monitor with my legion 7i, clearly, 7i got a more decent display. I'm not sure if this monitor will last long considering two parts already lost the functionality. Also, the customer service is like nothing, I got someone who even can't speak English, and she said she doesn't know what HDMI is, and rudely hanged up my phone. What a great experience with Lenovo.

High resolution, decent color reproduction and minimal side and upper bezels. There are a few qualities that I find bring it down from a 5-star product, though: - Monitor stand is absolute garbage. Extremely sensitive to even the slightest vibrations, and it takes a long time for the monitor to stop wobbling after it's been disturbed. Had to get a new replacement stand ASAP. - Brightness is not very uniform across the screen, it becomes distorted toward the left/right edges and the corners. Max brightness is not very bright, either. - Only one HDMI and one DVI port. - No speakers. Not a huge gripe though, I'd be surprised to find speakers in a 4K monitor < $300.

The multiple desktops feature on Linux is a great workaround for dealing with small screens, but there are many times when I have wished I could have several terminal windows open alongside Firefox when doing web development. This 28 inch UHD monitor is the answer. It has twice the size and twice the linear resolution as the 1920x1080 screen on the T450s, so the dot pitch is the same, effectively giving me a screen with four times the area, but without things looking too small. Using a miniDP-to-DP cable (bought separately), the T450s drives the monitor at 60 Hz and Linux recognizes it without a hitch. Highly recommended for programmers looking for more screen real estate. The only downside is the lack of a height-adjustable stand, but placing a five-inch thick box under it does the job.

I needed a monitor to help me work from home since my Lenovo Thinkpad screen (though also a great 4K display) is limiting my productivity. This Lenovo monitor is outstanding- a crisp display that allows me to have multiple windows open side by side on one screen. I mostly use it for spreadsheets and documents in addition to zoom meetings and Project Management software. The only downside I see to this monitor, and the reason for the 4 vs 5 star rating is the monitor is kind of wobbly on its base, but not a big deal and I don’t notice it since it sits on a desk that doesn’t move. If you’re looking for a UHD monitor for work but don’t want to spend $400+, Definitely consider this one!

Both monitors look amazing, image quality great with the 4K resolution giving me a lot of screen space to work in. Stand is decent, though cable holder on back seems incredibly basic. Only word of caution is about dead pixels, one monitor seems to have none while another has a few near the middle of the monitor. Unsure how consistent monitor quality is so that might be an issue you'll hit.

It doesn't come with a lot of bundled additional features like usb ports etc, but i never end up using them anyways. It comes with 1 HDMI 2 and 1 DP ports which is sufficient for me. I use it only for work purposes so cant say how well this performs for gaming. The only thing i wished that the monitor also had is a hight adjustable stand, but since it also comes with VESA mounts this is not a dealbreaker. Overall really like the monitor.

Colors are fantastic, brightness is great, and the view angle is a huge improvement over my last monitors (considering I slouch in my game chair. The super small bezel is great so you can put multiple monitors right next to each other and not really notice the seam. At 75hz refresh rate I haven’t really noticed any issues on my games (I am looking to upgrade my rig to take full advantage of my new monitors). These make a great first time 4k monitor for most at a great price.

First off it was one of the best prices I came across and to be fair I wasn’t expecting anything great. But when it came I was extremely happy with how sleek it looks in person and the clarity is outstanding. I honesty couldn’t be happier and am considering buying a second one. So I'd be hard pressed to find a better monitor for the $240 I paid when this model was on sale. I am sure you can get fancier features and design but, for me, that was not worth the increase in price. The screen quality is great and you get what you pay for (minus the supposed bezel less design!. Pros: Cheaper than most (or all other?) 4k options Great screen quality Cons: Far from Bezel less; The bezels are 1/4 of an inch and are not readily apparent in the stock photo or when the screen is off, Wobbly stand (put it on an arm or just learn to not freak out when you try adjust it and see it keep shaking) Only one HDMI input (but you can also take advantage of the DisplayPort)

The warranty policy is 3 or more bad pixels so 3 stars for it having a QA problem brand new out of the box. At least I only see it on gray or black colors.

As mentioned in the details it has a Display Port, HDMI port, and a headphone jack for external audio. The buttons for power, brightness, etc are not flushed to the monitor but they don't pop out too badly. The rest of the display is clear and responsive as it should be. The biggest con is that it's not very stable when bumped into or moved around but it doesn't fall down. Overall great monitor and I'd recommend it for the price tag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't have varying and enough connection ports. I really like it. Love the size. It's a true 28", but it looks bigger. Here's the part I am not in love with it. This monitor has only 1 HDMI port and 1 Displayport. It's very inconvenient and now I need to buy adapters or docking stations or what not to try to attatch to it for instance a webcam or any other USB device. There is no USB C port. It doesn't have a reg 3.0 USB or any USB connection in the back. I really am bothered that I have to figure all this out on my own. Like what adapter to buy and if it will work or not work. The monitor itself is has vivid colors and is 4K UHD. I am pleased with the display. Another thing which bothers me is that you cannot put the webcam or a monitor shelve on this monitor. The frame is very very thin and if you are able to put a webcam or shelf on the top of the monitor then you lose view of the tabs while on Edge or Chrome. In light of these two issues - which are pretty major because when I purchased this monitor it said it's the latest and greatest monitor Lenovo had at the time - well here's the issue.. why then does it not have built in ports for commonly used connections today. We have tons of new devices with updated ports like the USB C one for example. To have not even thought about adding more ports to the monitor are itself hard to understand. And that is my take on this purchase. If you simply want a monitor and don't intend to do much else with it. Go for it. (It's a little more expensive than some off-brand monitors I saw on Amazon I bought a ThinkStation two monitors and a 4k Logitech webcam. It's been a month the ThinkStation still hasn't shipped out from the warehouse. Be careful with Lenovo. The site will say ready to ship but in reality that isn't always the case. And customer service and the myaccount system are a wreck too. But again, the monitor in itself isn't that bad if you don't want much else but just a monitor.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from L28u-30 28 Inch UHD 4K Monitors I purchased two of these monitors for my home work station. So far they have been great monitors. The picture quality is excellent. They are a great addition to my P53 laptop. I do solid modeling and design work so having two 28" monitors is much nicer than working with a single 15.3" laptop screen.

To enable 10-bit color, you must have a DisplayPort cable, which must be purchased separately, because we get HDMI in the set. Plus for the built-in power supply, minimalist casing, narrow bezels and sRGB color mode.

Would recommend to anyone who isn't willing to shell out $400 for an amazing monitor but still wants something high quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good monitor...poorly engineered stand I was looking for a reasonably priced high def monitor. This Lenovo fit the bill and had very good reviews. I have no complaint about the monitor itself. It is clear, bright and crisp. The issue I have is with the built in stand. It is so poorly machined that it wobbles when inserted into the back of the monitor (I clicked into place and I tried numerous times and the "resting" position had the right side noticeably lower than the left. I ended up having to bolster the base on the right side with a stack of about 15 3x5 cards to level it out. I called tech support and they were essentially useless since it wasn't a "technical" problem with the monitor itself. It's not worth my time or effort to send it back, I ordered directly from Lenovo, and leave me without a working monitor so I will just live with the "fix".

Great monitor - easily vesa mountable, doesn't dissipate too much heat, resolution is good but quality is mediocre when trying to watch 4K video. Con about this - Black backgrounds tend to flicker depending on what Hz you set it to in your display settings. Haven't been able to resolve this yet - may have to request a RMA as it didn't start happening until 6 months after purchase. Other than that, no complaints, I would buy this again for my home office.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly surprised. Excellent 4k value monitor This monitor does not come with many bells and whistles. But it is an exceelent work 4k monitor with nice 4k display quality. It is not as comparable to $800 4k monitor of mine. But for the price tag , I am very happy. I wish it had usb port and built in speakers, to keep the desk area clean. But not a big deal. Contrast and viewing angles are excellent. Brightness is perfect for office work. Might not be excellent choice for gaming. I would bjy it again any day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ok monitor...not the best but ok. Its a pretty monitor. Good colors and bright display. I wish it had HDR. For a monitor this expensive it should have HDR. Also didnt come with a bolt that holds the stand together had to pull one off another monitor of mine since i dont have time to fight with contacting Lenovo twice over the same problem.

Two Monitors connected to the NAVIDIA RTX 16GB Lenovo Think Pad (P15) flicker at times after the computer goes into sleep or hibernation. This is solved by deleting the Display Driver in Device Manager and then reinstalling them or always shutting down the laptop rather than allowing it to go into sleep mode.
