I find I have to turn the laptop at an angle to use it. I am right handed. I was going to return it because of this reason but it was to much of a hassle.

Took about a week to realize they were not going to be able to fix the problem and process a refund so we could go out and purchase the software elsewhere and install it outselves.

This PC is excellent - very similar performance to the P52 but a smaller form factor. The 1TB solid state drive makes a fast unit to boot with plenty of storage. The fingerprint reader seems solid and most time recognized my index finger. It is a bit short on ports, so I also purchased the Lenovo USB-C 7 in 1 hub - basically an essential accessory for this unit as it adds 3 more USB ports for mouse and other drives. Adding a j5create USB to VGA adapter allowed me to add a 3rd monitor in addition to the HDMI port on the hub.

Got the trackpoint, the full keyboard, nice, bright screen, just wish they had larger screen sizes (where are the 17"ers!?) and I'm seriously disheartened that all Lenovos don't come with a keyboard light anymore. I was under the impression that every Lenovo came with a keyboard light or backlit keyboard. My bad for not looking for that minor detail, but after years of buying Thinkpads which all had keyboard lights, getting one without a keyboard light was like getting one without a J key. It was just an integral part of the line and now it's gone! :( The option is there for backlit (which I know now) but I didn't realize it wasn't built in to all of them. That said, the laptop is fast and furious. It does the job well and has the flawless trackpoint for mouse accuracy. Get the SSD and you'll be in heaven as Windows 11 boots up faster than anything in my house right now. I do wish the screens were bigger. And I prefer more square screens and less rectangular (landscape) because it's a work laptop and I do more vertical work. Don't care about watching movies in 16:9. Happy with my purchase overall. Just wish there was a better solution for a keyboard light instead of using my USB port. This really is almost 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A pleasure! This is a lovely laptop. It replaced an older Thinkpad which was about 7 years old (which still works but is being demoted to my part-time office.) The feel of the case and the keyboard is tight and quality, the graphics are great - I am just just thrilled. It is a pleasure to use. The battery life is several hours in duration; I have not tested that to its limits yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Thinkpad but have 1 issue Thinkpad powers up fast, battery life is good, has worked great except for a graphic issue with some of the standard PowerPoint backgrounds. Some of these background will cause the graphic color to either go white, where there should be color, or add color randomly where there should be a white background. Not sure if it is a graphic card issue or a Microsoft issue. Thinkpad was purchased with Microsoft home and student.

And even at this relatively smaller size, the specs are great. So much power in this little package which is exactly what I needed to bring to school and use for work at the same time.

The laptop is nice, but when I purchase software through Lenovo I expect some sort of fulfillment and delivery of purchase conditions . . . but Lenovo still hasn't made good on my purchase . . . and the days are counting and mounting.

The excellent Thinkpad keyboard layout and numeric keypad make this a via workstation replacement. It seems to have the build quality of other Thinkpads. The touch screen works better than expected and the nipple and track pad smooth. One star off for the screen brightness but this is a very minor issue.

It has the 11th Generation i7 at 2.80GHz , 16GB, 500GB SSD, Windows 10 Pro, & fingertip scanner. I am very pleased with this laptop, so far. I have not found anything negative to say about it at this time. It is a very good PC for work (it has a built-in camera and speakers for teleconferencing & I installed MS Office 2019 Pro, which runs flawlessly) & leisure (plays streaming videos without any problems & runs my photo & video editing software flawlessly).

We run about 50 of this particular model, couldn't be happier with it. Screen has great quality for working indoors and outdoors. Keyboard feel great on the fingers. Touchpad is accurate! Camera is crystal clear. These laptops are deployed to service technicians in the field and shop. They have taken everything from mud to oil. Will be purchasing again!

Although the SSD drive is more expensive than the HDD, but the extra cost is worth the increase in read and write efficiency. I use my laptop for completing word processing, routine office tasks, and software development projects and I've been extremely pleased with it thus far.

I use this computer as my primary work station and plug it into a docking station which displays on 3 monitors at my desk. While travelling, the battery will last me all day; the display is great, and I love the additional number pad on the right side. The speed of this computer is phenomenal and handles any programs I have thrown at it with ease so far. I am very pleased.

I do wish it had more normal USBs too though I do appreciate that they are on opposite sides so they don't infringe with one another like another laptop I have.

We didn't expect to use the touchscreen, but it has come in very handy from time-to-time. Just a note - it is heavier than many laptops on the market. Install and startup was simple, though I suggest reading before doing.

I've been buying HPs because their styling is nicer but have always had problems with them, so I decided to go back to Lenovo. Very glad I did as it has worked much better so far than my HPs. I have noticed that what used to be a 10 hour battery has dropped in performance to be a 4 hour battery and not sure why the performance has dropped.

Charged it over night and installed all the updates and windows 11 the next day and learned how my new computer worked. My first Lenovo. The next day my screen kept going black whenever I used the touchpad. Contacted support and went thru the virtual assistant, email, and then the service request. Immediately got a text with a link to contact a representative. Ciara was wonderful and thorough! Computer fixed while I stayed at home and she downloaded a fix. Thank you Lenovo! Yes as they stand by their product and support you to keep things running. Pulse I have liked everything to work right away Yes BUT it was several days in transit passing thru so many ports and distribution centers. Understand and appreciate the support that gets you going without having to take it somewhere or return. Thank You Lenovo

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Built With Short Life I got my 20TD0017US a few days ago. It’s very snappy for being a quad core. The gaming performance is behind Ryzen 4000 series that’s also from Lenovo. Overall it’s a great system with everything I wanted except for one issue. I can’t get 4 hours of streaming Netflix on a charge. I have changed the transmit power on the WiFi card turned down the screen brightness and turned off the backlight on the keyboard. I even had Bluetooth disabled. If this laptop had a 6 to 8 hour battery life it would be a great laptop. I can buy laptops for much cheaper with AMD cpu and integrated graphics with over 8 hour batter for much cheaper even within Lenovo’s own lineup. It’s a disappointing design flaw to an otherwise great product. Maybe they should redo the Mobil mark test on this model since I don’t think it would last 8 hours sitting idle looking at the desktop with everything disabled.

The colors on the screen are vivid and clear, the keys have a good touch and feel. They appear to be a little larger than normal but that might just be an optical illusion because of their shape. The battery lasts a long time. The Camera is clear and works well with Zoom calls. The laptop is lightweight and easy to carry. Its very fast and responsive. The SSD drive makes the boot up time is very fast. Wifi is excellent and the coverage area is very good. It's hard to beat this laptop's specs with a similarly priced model from other manufacturers.

One is that it doesn't have as many USB ports as I expected--apparently this model is different from some others I had looked at. Secondly, the battery life is good but not as long as I expected. One thing I'm very happy with is the keyboard, which is a vast improvement over other laptop brands.

So I got it. the only reason I am giving it a 4/5 star is because it only comes with 1 usb - c port which is used for charging. I wish there would have been like 2-3 of them.

The updated graphics are so amazing, and I did not think I would fall in love with the fingerprint scanner like I did. The backlit keyboard is also a lot more subtle than my old one so it’s nicer on the eyes in the dark.

My reason for not giving it 5 stars is mostly a Lenovo issue and not a hardware issue. The machine comes with nothing on it no MS Office no Adobe nothing at all. And there is NO docking station available for it and not a lot of ports or CD/DVD drive for software upload.

We have a small office so I thought that one would work. Wrong, tried to call in to correct the issue. Was cut off once and transferred twice. I just bought local and had an I.T. company get the unit up and running. As far as the laptop itself, the power cord connection and ethernet connection are not good. We have had issues with both being really loose. We have purchased at least seven different ThinkPads and I like this one the least. I would not buy it again based on this experience.

It seems to be very fast and doesn’t lag. My only complaint with this product was the set up. I bought Microsoft office and Norton virus protection with it. It wasn’t clear weather or not these applications were preinstalled or not. I ended up installing Norton which caused lots of problems for my computer BC the computer had already been preinstalled with MacCafee virus protection plan. These two systems were basically working against each other which took a long time to sort out. Also, it was not clear that windows had already been installed, so I ended up duplicating this as well. I think the set up instructions should be a little more clear regarding applications that might already be installed. Over all great computer, maybe just my fault on the set up but it would seem that clearer directions would help people that might not be super Tech savvy.

Not sure if it is a Microsoft issue or a graphics card issue. Haven't figured out how to reload Microsoft yet since I purchased the system with this software installed.

Just make sure the computer fans can cool the computer effectively. I bought a stand for this purpose. I will be using this laptop for work, school, and personal needs, so it will be used for a variety of purposes. I enjoy the touch screen and the size of the screen. Only downside, which is probably more of a Windows 10 issue- Chrome browser crashes quite often, so use firefox or another browser until it gets fixed by Google or Microsoft.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Meet "Tank" I bought this machine on clearance. It had all of the power I was hoping for at a price I couldn't ignore. The only spec it didn't have was the upgraded display. I gave in because I will be docked to my 27"HD display over 90% of the time. It handles my graphic arts and video editing software with ease. I have the bad habit of multitasking, so add in web access to social media outlets and a few online shopping trips while working. This machine takes it all in stride. I also help keep things minimal on board by using cloud storage and an external HD. After reading other reviews, I purchased a generic cooling pad for use while on dock. 4 stars instead of 5 for a couple of reasons. I want to call this machine a souped up hooptie, but I'm going to name this machine "Tank". It's government issue ugly, and it weighs a TON. It's the upgraded battery that weighs so much. This is great for extended use off dock, but I cannot imagine carrying this laptop anywhere. It's just too bulky and heavy. And, did I mention ugly? The styling is stuck in the 90s era and can use an update- come on now IBM/Lenovo, it's 2021.. I couldn't believe they still sell NEW laptops that look like this one. Maybe this is why it was on clearance for this price and still available, maybe? I still have my old i7 Dell XPS that I can take with me when I'm traveling or meeting clients, so now I have 2 laptops and this one essentially becomes a desktop machine. Therefore, it lost one star. Never-the-less, my needs require all of the power this machine provides. On top of that, it was at least $1k less than any similarly spec'd PC. Even though "Tank" has a face and build that "only a mother can love", I'm going to keep loving and taking care of my baby, as he handles my apps better than any laptop I've ever owned. My 2 cents.

The clarity of the screen and camera are top-notch. The laptop is more lightweight than the one that I use for work, and instead of having both USB ports on the same side, there is one on each. I have Microsoft Office 365 installed and there have been no lags or hiccups; everything runs quickly, efficiently, and smoothly. Overall, I am very very pleased with this laptop, and I strongly recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cool for an Intel, but still runs hot. Compared to more compact Tiger Lake laptops, this is a cool-running Intel thanks to the 15" chassis and cooling system. However, even compared to the smaller E14 Gen 2 AMD that I am now using (and keeping over the E15 Gen 2 Intel, it is noticeably hotter while I do Unity 3D development, and battery life isn't the greatest (surely due in part to the 15" screen instead fo 14"). Unfortunately, I wound up returning the device due to two reasons: 1.) The E15 Gen 2 Intel's RAM runs in single channel mode, as there is only a single SODIMM slot with nothing else soldered like in the AMD variant. 2) I thought the 300 nit display would be the 72% NTSC panel, but it looks like the touch-enabled variant is much less vibrant, closer in color coverage to the 250 nit panels. Still, overall a solid laptop (for an Intel). I really tried to like it, but some of the benefits of the Tiger Lake platform are lost on this particular model. For example, the support for quad channel LPDDR4X RAM that you see in other compact Tiger Lake laptops is noticeably missing here. However, the platform has other advantages. Thunderbolt 4 is really nice, as I was able to connect it to my eGPU (Razer Core X with a GTX 970 inside). However, when connected and playing middling demand games like XCOM2 or even low demand games like League of Legends, the machine is noticeably hot. The fans are pumping out some decent heat, although not that noisily. Consequently, it is a bit warm for keeping your hands on the laptop keyboard. I wound up putting the machine in a tent mode to let the hot air dissipate away from my USB-connected keyboard.

I disabled/re-enabled the hardware, re-installed the driver, and contacted customer support. The ultimate solution was to send the laptop back to Lenovo as they don't make this anymore/have extra units available. Overall, I'm just really upset about the experience.

I took it to a Lenovo Approved Service provider and they told me I had to get a new OS installed and the Lenovo warranty doesn’t cover software issues. It cost me $150 out of pocket. You people should not be making us responsible for these software issues immediately after a purchase.

Took a minute to get used to the buttons over the track pad, and it being centered on the QWERTY keyboard, not the machine as a whole, but everything works really well out of the box. The non-metal bottom of the case has n combination with the heavier touch screen means the laptop doesn’t want to open on the desk with one hand, it would rather stay together. But for a light and portable machine, it seems pretty great. Charging via USBC is awesome for portability, and for finding an extra charger if one is forgotten or lost. This met all the criteria and had an even bigger ssd than required all within our price point, which is amazing.

Not sure I would have gotten it if I'd realized there was a number pad on the right side of the keyboard, so your typing hands need to be positioned to the left of the center of the screen. I don't use the trackball, so I'll have to figure out how to deactivate it.

It's the first Lenovo I've ever had and it is so much better than the Mac I was using before and the HP I had years before that (which used to be my favorite but the Thinkpad has blown it right out of the water). Runs well and it's easy to fiddle with the things I like to fiddle with.

I switched to Lenovo from Dell as I felt that the Dell laptops were suffering from quality issues (plus I never cared for how they looked or felt when using). I first purchased a Lenovo for my personal use in order to test them out and I was impressed from the start. The laptop has a nice solid feel to it while not being heavy. The display is gorgeous and the keyboard has a great feel to it while typing. I have been slowly replacing the old Dell laptops at work with Lenovo laptops and the users have been very happy. I opted to purchase the extended warranty with on-site servicing etc. as my workforce is dispersed and works from home. So far there has not been a need for service but it's definitely well worth having for peace of mind.

At first I had trouble as the wifi kept turning off. I contacted Lenovo and they couldn't fix it or knew why it was happening. Later, Joy, the service rep called me at home and told me to update my drivers and if it didn't work, contact sales and they can get me a refund as it was so new. I also contacted my step son in Singapore and he told me it wasn't the computer but Windows 11. He sent me a link to YouTube fix the problem and since then, everything is working fine. I was also told by a different service rep who blamed the problem with my wifi router, then said a box would be sent to me to ship my E15 for repair. The box never arrived.

The only disappointment on this one was that the description had seemed to imply that this was touch screen which it didn't have. I ended up returning it and exchanging for a Yoga with a touch screen which I love. The styling is not quite a sleek as HP or Dell but the performance is much more reliable.

The keyboard for me was very important. Unfortunately, the webcam is subpar. I had to purchase an additional one to clip to the top of my laptop so zoom meetings would be clear. Fingertip sign in is a plus. I would say it works about 75% of the time. Great speed and storage capability.

The display screen has some alignment issues as I could see areas of backlight showing up at the bottom of the screen which I might have check up with Technical reps later. The load is fast and SSD really makes life much easier while streaming and gaming.

My dad got me this laptop for Christmas because I couldn't yet afford my new school computer and I have fallen in love with it. It's so much faster than my old HP laptop and it'll definitely come in handy when I get back into classes soon! I can't speak highly enough about it honestly. I was upset at first about not getting a MacBook but this computer is seriously amazing. I love it so much!

There are several new features with the E15 that I like: awesome power and memory, touchscreen, backlit keyboard. I'm not a fan of the number pad added to the keyboard, and prefer the slightly smaller width for keypad and screen that would result if the number pad were eliminated. I do some online government work that will be a breeze with my new hardware/software.

But after almost two months there was no progress in an anticipated shipping date, and it looked like the computer would not arrive for months. But after contacting customer service, they corrected everything and I love my new computer. The original one I ordered had been discontinued, and I was offered a somewhat better model at the same price. I am now sitting here typing this review on my new computer. It's fast, responsive, great audio, love the touch screen, it's got a tremendously long battery life. I just think it's the best laptop I've ever had. I highly recommend!

Over the last 6 years I have used Lenovo Laptops for my work including Lenovo Ideapad / Flex 5 etc. I developed a liking for Lenovo laptops for the ease and simplicity of use. Mid July this year I bought the E15 ThinkPad considering I needed a fast processor, quicker boot time, finger scan, Touchscreen, WindowsPro for the security, at least 16GB Memory, and laptop that had at least 4-5 years warranty (My personal Lenovo Ideapad broke after 2 years of use - out of warranty and the replacement screen wasn't available in the USA). I am pleasantly surprised with the E15 Gen 2 (it has exceeded my expectations) and way better than my previous Lenovo experiences. The performance is flawless , performance is excellent, nice features inlcuding Finger scan (I read in reviews that some users have issues using the finger scan - I have not had any issues whatsoever in using it). It boots in no time and when the screen is up and running the finger touch scan straightaway unlocks it. I bought additoinal warranty for five years for the dollars it's high value and will come in handy just in case next five years any mishaps with accidental damage or issue with the hardware etc. I am in awe of it. I had a small issue with not able to turn the keyboard backlight on and Zoom not recognizing the camera, I called Lenovo and with their premium services within 2 minutes, and that's all, it tool to fix the issue. You get tons of updates from Lenovo (via emails alerts for BIOS update, driver updates/ software updates etc.), the same can be achieved via Lenovo vantage feature. Over all high value laptop, speakers re decent!! Keyboard as always is unique and the keys give excellent user experience. I would buy this laptop again.

That's was a nice surprise. Was just as I ordered and please with purchase. I use mostly for accounting business. Somewhat lightweight but that is ok. Started up fast and was easy to set up. Was a bit more than I wanted to pay but bought more to get a system that I could use a few years. My only issue was the directional plastic pointer key above touchpad keeps coming off and won't snap in place. You not get any extras like a case.

The Thinkpad has exceeded my expectations by delivering with Lenovo ruggedness, excellent speed, user friendly interface with Lenovo software to keep it up to date and working at optimum performance. We purchased the premium service plan as well and used it already just to verify some of the features of the laptop. Lenovo technical service department was awesome! Knowledgeable and had a genuine interest in trying to help. That’s hard to find these days. The Thinkpad delivers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I love this laptop, so far I have been using it for the past two weeks and its been great. I am using this for online teaching and my small tax/accounting business. I transferred all my documents, files and programs and everything runs smooth! A few times though, I did have an issue where I would wake the computer up and the sign-in screen froze so I would have to force a restart. Other than that the computer is super easy to use, lightweight and fast!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Laptop with some nagging issues Overall I am pleased with this laptop. I have had it for 6 mos now. It is snappy fast, good screen. I like the keyboard better than the "chiclet" keys found on other laptops and it has the 10 key I use a lot in Excel. It gets warm to the touch when charging, but not uncomfortable hot like some other laptops I tried. And the charge time is great. It is a little heavier than some, but I drag this thing around all day between office and labs and I like the milspec rating and the solid feel. The battery life is not the greatest among the competition, but I knew that when I bought it and so far have had no problems with battery life. There are two things that keep this from 5 stars. First, the fingerprint reader is hit or miss. When I open the lid in the morning, no reader. I usually have to open/close the lid a couple of times before I can log in. The other minor annoyance is Lenovo likes to push BIOS updates. I have had more BIOS updates on this laptop than I had on my last 2 over 8 years. The BIOS update frequency is annoying. The failure of the fingerprint reader keeps this at 4 stars. Overall, happy with the laptop. I hope I can get years of service out of this one.

Now I got a good promo and price. Very light and touch screen becomes so useful. Monitor is very clear and finger print is excellent. Sleep did not work originally but Fn + 4 did the trick. Overall an excellent laptop.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Pros and Cons I bought it for my birthday in November 2021. This is my daily laptop. I chose Lenovo because I liked the P14 laptop my work gave me. Pros: 1. Bright Display 2. Wide Screen size, great for multitasking 3. Super Fast everything: startup, opening apps, downloading files, surfing the internet 4. Numeric Keypad 5. Touch screen 6. Charges fast 7. Backlit keyboard with 2 brightness levels(it would be cool, if the user can change the keyboard light colors to what they want. Maybe even an animation to it.) 8. Design and keyboard layout 9. Light around the startup button Cons: 1. There are no USB C ports. You will have to use your laptop charger slot(USB C) or purchase a USB A to USB C adapter 2. The battery life is mediocre. Last maybe 5 hours most on 100% display while using the PC. Then its back to plugging in the charger. 3. There is no pause/start/stop/fast forward/rewind buttons. Yet there is a hang up and answer button(very unnecessary) 5. I have no idea what some of the function buttons do. Example. The f9 button, f12 has a star on it which makes no sense if it opens the inspector. 6. Bloatware 7. Very Limited/No color selection, only black 8. Limited number of ports: 1 x HDMI, 2 x USB-A 9. The price for what I would have paid does not make it a perfect fit. Luckily, I bought the laptop with a coupon around black friday. Rather than its original $1800+ price tag. 10. Cannot use other touch screen pens with this model. I tried with an HP Pen from my previous laptop. 11. Only Apple laptops seem to be able to do this, when you dim the light to the lowest level. It makes the screen black/dimmed out completely as if the screen is sleeping. Overall: 8/10. I'm happy with the purchase thus far, despite my cons list surpassing my pros list. Its only been a little over a month. The Laptop performance hasn't given me any issues. If Lenovo can make upgrades to some of its PCs based on my con list. I'd consider them the best by a huge margin.

I'm SO glad I chose to go with this brand rather than a newer model of my previous laptop. It is SO fast and the picture is super clear with this. I've had it about a month and so far I haven't had any issues. If I play a game on it, I do prefer to have it plugged in as the battery drains a little fast with game usage, but if I am doing homework or surfing the web, the battery is decent.

It easily handles all of his engineering software and the video and gaming needs of a teenager as well as remains portable enough to do homework on the way between club soccer games. He just connects to his mobile hot spot and remains productive even with his busy schedule. The best part is that we also purchased the tech installation and warranty to allow the RAM and computing power to grow with him through his schooling. We are extremely happy with our purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST LAPTOP I HAVE EVER OWNED!!! This machine is incredible. The display resolution and speaker sound is like sitting in front of a 4K HD television. The battery lasts me almost the entire day and a full recharge took maybe 15 minutes tops. The biggest shock was when I saw that my WIFI connected at a speed faster than my beefed up, directly wired (1GB) desktop computer. Everything on this machine is lightening fast and my Zoom and Google Meet connections are crystal clear in sound and display. Would rate this amazing laptop higher than 5 stars if it were an option.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thinkpad E15 Gen 2; the good and the bad The good: Available CPU and memory is adequate for most office applications and the SSD drive can be specified up to 1 TB, so storage is good also. The screen is bright and has good contrast. Left and tight “mouse buttons” are provided with the trackpad, which makes click-drag, scrolling and selecting multiple text easier than with just a trackpad, it’s light and doesn't get too hot, battery life is good compared to similar laptops, can be bought with a touch screen. The bad: The touch screen cannot be used with a pen, since the screen has a matte finish and is not designed for pen input, pen input would be a plus. The screen resolution only goes up to 1080p, a 4K screen option would be great for the 15” screen size. The only GPU option is integrated graphics, a dedicated GPU such as NVIDIA or similar would be helpful with graphic intensive applications or for presentations when connecting to larger exterior monitors. Only one USB type C port is provided and it doubles as the charging port. Another USB C port would be helpful to connect peripherals while charging. When using external power, or charging, the single USB C port is unavailable.

I wish there was clearer instructions on set up, as well as more information on how to use the "productivity" as well as finger pad use. I also wish they had clearer explanation of the products that were additonally purchased with device. Computer is fast, but glitches with streaming apps in full screen. I also wanted to use it for its touch screen, but dont know how. I like lenovo because its reliable and fast, however if they had an easier setup (ie more explaining of what youre clicking on and what you are trying to get out of computer) theyd be much more competetive with apple.

I expect it'll work great for a long time. The only downside is the battery which lasts as long as you might think for an 8-hour battery (a little less because it's not in perfect conditions) but is otherwise the ideal laptop.

Arrived on time- ish ( one day delay, understandable for the holidays). My main concerns are computer went blank screen couple of times on me. Also the other day it was shaking the whole screen for couple of times, then I rebooted and it re appeared. It's a okay deal so far.

I have herd nothing but good thing about the think pad product, if it not for the issues I had this would have been a sweet computer. I am sure I got a lemon and my experience is not indicative of the product line. At the end of the day I was able to return it and get my money back, I was unable to replace it due to the long wait I would have had to have to get another.

Upon arrival of machine within hours, found that upon set-up, the Sleep function began malfunctioning/various Keyboard keys are not firm or not 'sound' and are noisy/Palm Rest deck near edge of user does not snap/close tightly in specific area near touchpad, after whomever went into machine to customize it. This was a customized machine, built in Slovakia [sticker on back] for Lenovo, presumably customized in China, as it was shipped from there and went through 'customs' twice. I give this specific Thinkpad E15 Intc version, a very poor rating due to all these issues, upon arrival! The previous E15 Amd version [non-customized] had none of these issues and operated perfectly and was delivered swiftly from N. Carolina, but was returned for the Intc model, as the Amd ver. did not run my software as expected [the Intc ver. was a bit of an improvement]. Naturally, had no idea the customized E15 Intc would be re-fabricated overseas, which took a longer delivery time but arrived within expected delivery time nevertheless. Have created a Repair Ticket [Sept 8th], and have been told the, Sleep/Power button/Keyboard/Palm rest, are all one piece [unusual?] and this part[s] are o/s, with no e.t.a. I was originally told these were in stock. This is terrible service, regardless of having 'Onsite Support' warranty on this machine (or if even have considered upgrading to Premier), makes no difference due to parts o/s. Additionally, the entire keyboard has glued on sticker-like application [letters/numerals, etc], which makes the 'viewing' of these in certain sun lit angles, horrible. This machine fails in what was, the expected higher quality of the Thinkpad series; albeit it is the E series, however as mentioned, the Amd E series version, was perfect and was a joy to operate. Today is Sept 18, and there has been no update on this Repair and/or e.t.a. of parts. Notably, this machine is a replacement for a 2019 Lenovo machine, that went in for multiple repairs and during the last and [final] one, the machine was lost!

I wanted wifi 6, ethernet port, usb c charging and ability to use w/ external monitor w/ 1 cable, 1080p screen, full keyboard, full num pad, ssd, at least 16gigs ram, windows 10 pro, i7, built in webcam w/ cover.....this was the CLEAR choice after looking at ALL brands. I am very satisfied with this - the only reason for not 5 stars is the fingerprint reader is not 100% functional and requires you to use the pin when it doesn't want to work and also the material used for the exterior of the laptop is prone to marks and smudges due to the natural oil from our skin - could be a bit more premium - if these two are satisfied this would be the absolute PERFECT business laptop

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and Lightweight. Love It! The laptop shipped and arrived a day earlier than estimated. I bought it because of the processor and the SSD. Both have met if not exceeded my expectations. The touchscreen is responsive with a natural feel. It is not glossy, which is a plus because it does not reflect light from sources around you. For example, light from a sunrise or sunset coming through a window behind you is not reflected in your eyes, and when taking photos of content on the screen, you don't see your own reflection, or your phone, or your hand holding the phone. The sound output and quality is good for laptop speakers. The laptop itself is lightweight, which makes it easy to move and carry. Sale pricing made this purchase an all-around win.

I'm the type that wants the best and biggest bang for my bucks. Did well with this purchase. I run adobe products and store alot of files so I need a device that doesn't get bogged down . The one thing that threw me off was the random BIOS update...made me think it was a potential virus. Wish Lenovo had more information or certified process.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Underwhelmed with the E15 I bought this E15 Gen 2 to replace my older T550 model. While this E15 model is sleeker and lighter, it is lacking in options and performance. First, the battery sucks. Not impressed at all. I get about 3.5 hours of work out of this battery, but that does include hours of Zoom calls which I assume are taxing on the battery. Second, the color scheme on this computer is not good. I had to go into the Intel Graphics module to override color patterns and improve the overall color a little bit, but the color scheme is not good...cannot show bright reds and greens. Also, there is no slot for a Micro SD card (or adapter) that allows for immediately plugging it in and looking at pics (say from a Samsung phone for example). Not so much a knock on this computer, but the graphics on Windows 10 on this computer are lame. Not as crisp and clear as Windows 7 IMO. I do like that they brought back the little light on the caps lock to alert you when it is on. And I do like the touchscreen; easy to scroll if I need to like an iPad.

Is very fast, efficient and you can find a bargain if you really look for it. I gave it 4 stars because I do not like the material is made from outside. I am a technology instructor and also have a social media business, so I am on my laptop a tremendous amount of time. I could not be happier with my Lenovo! I have always had an HP laptop, and wish I had made the switch sooner. Not only is my laptop everything I could have asked for, Lenovo customer service has the competition beat hands down. Great product, able to handle many Internet windows and multiple software applications open at the same time. Setup was the fastest and easiest I've ever experienced. Highly recommend!

Then the device began to slow so that startup took more than 5 minutes just to get the log in screen. Would not buy again.

They both have 15 inch screens but the new Lenovo is so much better with the graphic resolution. My new Lenovo is half the weight and half as thin as my old Lenovo, as well as, having backlit keypad and I love the touchscreen. Believe you me this computer is “fast” and has one terabyte hard drive. I’m so impressed with this computer and Lenovo has done a great job with the design. l feel my money was well spent. Mine started having problems in 3 weeks and motherboard failed completely in 24 days. No longer charges... My coworkers? Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Bueno The Thunderbolt cable is also the power for the laptop, which means you cannot be charging your computer and using energy hungry thunderbolt devices like the apollo x4 music recording interface, at the same time. This is a horrible design flaw. The power should have stayed separate. Also, even though this has 1TB of memory the 16 GB are not sufficient for RAM hungry programs like Adobe Premier Pro. The touchscreen works, but it is clunky, coarse to the touch, and not as responsive/smooth as an iPhone. So giving up performance for underdeveloped features was a lament for me as a 10 year Thinkpad repeat customer. It already crashed on me while applying luts and effects on video project. Overall, this laptop is not worth the discount price. Thinkpad used to be top of the line for workhouse computers, and this is just a show pony. I'll be keeping the item for writing and emails, but for recording music and video editing, this is nowhere near up to spec with the previous ThinkPads.

The only downside is the 1 dimm slot for memory expansion, but that's 1 more dimm slot than a lot of the competition. The current E series offerings are more in line with the T series of a decade ago than the early budget E series.

Screen color also doesn't look right. Manually adjust the color and it looks better now but still doesn't look right. Hope both issues can be solved later.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Laptop This laptop is great for work with the right attachments. I highly suggest purchasing a small travel usb hub and a usb to ethernet adapter. The laptop is light and tough at the same time and feels good. Great Features and the only bloatware that needed to be removed before use was the built in McAfee which needs to be removed with their special McAfee Software removal tool. All that aside, it's a great laptop.

I tracked it and it arrived from China to my front door in just over four days...amazing! It is built well and runs great so far. No complaints here.

I reached out to Lenovo who sent me a box the next day. I am awaiting the return and outcome. The laptop was secure in shipment in air bag. I do graphic work and the bleeding will help on production. I am hoping that they do q/a before deployment.

A step below the workhorse business version but still runs very quickly for browsing and other simple tasks, and nothing about the build feels cheap. Hinge feels sturdy, and it has a good display; 15" makes a difference in how large the screen feels compared to 14".

The competitor's computer integrated their battery into their computer. When the battery dies, you will most likely have to replace your computer. Also be sure and get the keyboard that lights up.

Nice keyboard with the option of using the Fn control key to turn on the backlit setting to the keyboard. Efficient login ever since there's an option of a face or fingerprint identification, this has made my life easier because I can complete tasks in a small amount of time with a laptop like this. Better upgrade to Windows 11 Pro as compared to my HP laptop where I used Windows 10 or 11 Home. I've somewhat noticed I have more better features as I had with my previous operating system. Other than the speed of the laptop, this laptop runs quietly for most of the time. The only time I've noticed this laptop running with slight notice is when there are so many programs running on this laptop, personally I don't view this as an issue. Another thing that I was so happy with Lenovo was the timeframe they delivered the laptop within. They say that it would be delivered in 2+ months, instead it was less than 2 weeks I received my laptop in. This was above their promise of shipping. Based on this review I will recommend friends, family, and anyone to buy a ThinkPad Laptop or product for home, school or work due to its speed and durability as promised.

My advice to Lenovo: add another USB port and stay with Win 10. The Win 11 download option will give you a screen where the brightness slider does not work.

That being said, I still wish it had better performance during online streaming. I have seen better performance on laptops with hypothetical worse resolution - so that doesn't make much sense to me. Also, I expected it to be very fast given the 16GB RAM. It is not super fast and still gets confused sometimes. That being said, I am still very happy with my purchase so far. When it is working optimally, it has a good visual ratio and good light for background. The laptop is visually nice looking and the keyboard is comfortable to use.

Many professionals I worked with had this laptop so I thought it would be a perfect work from home/business laptop for my home. Was I wrong. Slowest computer I have ever used, and we even purchased an upgrade of the RAM. I love things like the keyboard, and number pad, but as far as the processing, is incredibly slow, no matter whose internet I connect to. It's so dissapointing. My in-laws $200 cheap laptop from walmart works better than this. I will be trying HP for our next computer.

I bought the refurbished version and while I think this could be a great computer that would meet my needs, this refurbished one is turning into a nightmare. Constant fan noise. I sent it back. They say they replaced the fan. First day back up and running .... constant fan noise and now the computer will shut down for no reason. I needed a reliable working laptop and trusted Lenovo to provide me with one. Still waiting.

It was not hard to set up, and it has been working very well and is very fast. I do not like how aggressive Microsoft Edge browser is in trying to get me to use it as my default browser, (pop ups, etc.) when I prefer Chrome, and need to use Chrome for work. However, this is a problem with Microsoft and not directly with Lenovo. The laptop came with Windows OS 10, which I needed because OS 11 is not yet compatible with systems in my place of employment. This was one of the only laptops available that still had OS 10 installed, which is one of several reasons that I bought it, along with the large memory and RAM, and other tech features. I have never owned a Lenovo product before, but I am pleased with the product and highly recommend it. It was pricey but I bought it on the Fourth of July Sale, which was a very good sale. I called Lenovo once for a clarification of a charge on my bill, and, after some back and forth with the representative, it became apparent that on the original bill, city tax was mistakenly excluded. I was able to reach a representative easily enough and the representative was helpful. Extra premium support is available for extra charges.

Got much better display, trouble-free transition, longer battery life. I remember the joystick curser control from an old IBM laptop and find it far easier to work with than either touch pad or touch screen (when I don't have my separate mouse attached). It adequately supports Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and AutoCAD and numerous other programs. I'm happy

The machine power button died on me within 10 days of use and the laptop didn't wake from standby mode. The display also went blank. A hard power reset didn't help either. It's now being fixed at Lenovo's Depot Repair Center, and they say it could take 1-2 weeks. Very disappointed with this purchase. What kind of laptops are you building, Lenovo? Do you do any quality control checks?

This computer meets all of my requirements - the screen is a perfect size, it has enough ports for all of my USB plugin gadgets and my HDMI cable for my 2nd monitor. The graphics are great and meet my needs as a design professional. It is sturdy but not too heavy so I feel comfortable taking it on the go.

My new Lenovo ThinkPad replaces my still working 6-year-old Lenovo ThinkPad which I originally purchase based on an expert friends recommendation that the Lenovo ThinkPad laptop would be a durable workhorse as my only computer. I've not been disappointed after six years of trouble-free operation. I've bought a new version to get the enhanced speed and capacity as well as updated operating software. So far, I love me new ThinkPad which feels good and is significantly lighter and quicker than my former machine. The latest versions of Windows and Office are quite intuitive, even for an old warhorse like me, to navigate. Thanks, Lenovo!

The touch screen is awesome, however a problem with my 2 year old because she can easily mess with it and move stuff around. Would definitely recommend getting an external harddrive though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Desktop experience in portable package TLDR. Battery life, Color accuracy, and the feel of the touchpad are my only problems. Surprisingly lightweight, Big screen. No true dark black on display, only a very dark grey. This is because it is a non reflective screen. Very readable, like a kindle or nook. Great viewing angles. Backlight bleeding is only noticeable on startup. The keyboard has great contrast. Its also backlit, so this computer can be used in any lighting. Battery life is MAX 5 hours. cursor feels like paper. Fast Booting times. If you read and write, code, or do anything where true color representation is not as important. This computer would be the best. If you Need true color. The legion gaming computer is a great option. It has an RTX and is what I would have bought if The visuals where more important than my productivity. The only drawback is that it is not 360 hinged and I cannot Write on this like a tablet with a stylus. But that is one extreme example and I have overcame it by sketching with a mouse.

I recommend you download Intel's Graphics Command Center to try and touch it up. Battery life isn't super amazing, but the performance is stellar. Exterior feels lightweight and durable. Great laptop overall!

Having been pleased with the reliability of the former machine, I decided to stick with the brand. A factor in the timing of my purchase was a sale that allowed me to get a more powerful machine for the price of a less powerful model. The new machine is working well, so far. It's only one month old -- time will tell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice Laptop I bought this ThinkPad E15 as a replacement for a ThinkPad P50. My P50 suddenly died (had power, would not boot. Not even a glimmer of an attempt to boot). I needed a replacement quickly. This E15 fit that requirement. I was a bit concerned about dropping from 32GB of RAM to 16GB, but so far it appears that 16GB will do just fine. My P50 was also nearing End of Service and was not eligible for Windows 11. The E15 came with Windows 11 Pro. After getting adjusted to the differences between Windows 10 and Windows 11, I find that I like Windows 11. The E15 is a bit short on ports, so I picked up a power pass-thru hub with plenty of ports (1xUSB-C PD, 2xHDMI, 1xVGA, 2xUSB-A 2.0, 2xUSB-A 3.0, 1xUSB-A 3.1, 1xUSB-C 3.1, 1xRJ45, 1xAudio, 1xSD/TF. The E15 works great for my purposes.

As with any computer, make sure you run windows updates when you get it, there were a few things that were wonky at first which got fixed with updates. Love the feel of the keyboard, keys give just the right amount of feedback while being very easy and quiet. My only comment is on layout of the CTRL button. Instead of being the last key on the left it’s the second (instead, the Fn button is there. I use the CTRL key a lot and it’s always in the corner. It’s taking some getting used to. Not the end of the world but seems like a strange choice when every other keyboard has it the other way. I’m hoping lenovo decides to change that in future.

My ThinkPad T520 is 12 years old running Win 10 with two SATA SSDs & 16Gb of memory and although it is working fine I though maybe I should replace it with something newer. So I kept an eye on the Lenovo website and got this for a very good price when it was on sale. Great display, nice sound, wonderful alphanumeric keyboard, an speedy. I'm satisfied.

Was swapped out for a new machine, and the same issue remains, even on the new device. The hardware is a complete joke and now 9 months after purchasing, I'm still having the same problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Laptop with some nagging issues Overall I am pleased with this laptop. I have had it for 6 mos now. It is snappy fast, good screen. I like the keyboard better than the "chiclet" keys found on other laptops and it has the 10 key I use a lot in Excel. It gets warm to the touch when charging, but not uncomfortable hot like some other laptops I tried. And the charge time is great. It is a little heavier than some, but I drag this thing around all day between office and labs and I like the milspec rating and the solid feel. The battery life is not the greatest among the competition, but I knew that when I bought it and so far have had no problems with battery life. There are two things that keep this from 5 stars. First, the fingerprint reader is hit or miss. When I open the lid in the morning, no reader. I usually have to open/close the lid a couple of times before I can log in. The other minor annoyance is Lenovo likes to push BIOS updates. I have had more BIOS updates on this laptop than I had on my last 2 over 8 years. The BIOS update frequency is annoying. The failure of the fingerprint reader keeps this at 4 stars. Overall, happy with the laptop. I hope I can get years of service out of this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super fast laptop I love my new Lenovo laptop, it’s super fast and never had a computer that starts up so fast. The fingerprint scanner makes logging in easy and quick. My only complaint has been that you have to download a manual to find out how to use all the great keyboard features, may just be me nitpicking but how hard would it be to preload that document.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish my work computer was a ThinkPad I bought a yoga about 10 years ago and it finally died on me. So I upgraded to a thinkpad and could not be happier. the price and the performance and speed is a huge upgrade. I wish my company for work gave us thinkpad instead of HP or Dell. I have been with this computer a little over 2 years and had three work computers. That is why when I buy a personal computer I always by a Levono.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Regretting my purchase TouchPad does n9t work well. It drags slowly and keeps jumping to the wrong item when I attempt to click. Processor is very slow. The last Lenovo laptop I owned was much faster. Very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to set, works well, and is fast I have had this laptop only a few weeks, but so far, so good. It was not hard to set up, and it has been working very well and is very fast. I do not like how aggressive Microsoft Edge browser is in trying to get me to use it as my default browser, (pop ups, etc.) when I prefer Chrome, and need to use Chrome for work. However, this is a problem with Microsoft and not directly with Lenovo. The laptop came with Windows OS 10, which I needed because OS 11 is not yet compatible with systems in my place of employment. This was one of the only laptops available that still had OS 10 installed, which is one of several reasons that I bought it, along with the large memory and RAM, and other tech features. I have never owned a Lenovo product before, but I am pleased with the product and highly recommend it. It was pricey but I bought it on the Fourth of July Sale, which was a very good sale. I called Lenovo once for a clarification of a charge on my bill, and, after some back and forth with the representative, it became apparent that on the original bill, city tax was mistakenly excluded. I was able to reach a representative easily enough and the representative was helpful. Extra premium support is available for extra charges.
