Balancing the requirements of capacity, performance, size and reliability to meet the exacting standards of ThinkPad customers, the ThinkPad 80 GB Hard Disk Drive (5400 rpm) can be used to upgrade the primary hard drive of ThinkPad A, T, R and X30 Series notebooks. For additional low-cost high-speed storage, or increased data backup capability, for UltraBay 2000 systems, use the optional 2nd HDD Adapter for UltraBay 2000 (08K6068) to install the drive in the UltraBay 2000 media bay of ThinkPad A, T20, T30 and R40 Series notebooks, the X3 UltraBase media slice for ThinkPad X30 Series notebooks and the media bay of both the ThinkPad Dock and Dock II. Similarly, to obtain additional storage or increased data backup capability for UltraBay Slim systems, use the optional 2nd HDD Adapter for UltraBay Slim (62P4554) to install the drive in the X4 UltraBase Dock for ThinkPad X40 Series notebooks, the UltraBay Enhanced media bay in ThinkPad R50 Series notebooks and the UltraBay Slim media bay in ThinkPad T40 Series notebooks.
